How to stream AEW Dynamite live on Max
Max is the most direct no-cable option because Dynamite is available there as a live simulcast for U.S. subscribers. Warner Bros. Discovery’s rights announcement stated that live Dynamite would be available on Max in the United States beginning in January 2025 while the program remained on TBS. The same announcement described on-demand availability for relevant AEW programming carried by WBD networks.

That means Max is not merely a next-day replay destination for Dynamite. The intended route is to open Max during the live broadcast window and select the live Dynamite listing or the applicable live channel/event entry. Episodes and related programming may also be available on demand, subject to the service’s current catalog and rights.
What to do on Max
- Sign up for an eligible Max subscription in the United States.
- Install the Max app on a supported television, streaming player, phone, tablet, game console, or other device, or use Max on a compatible computer.
- Sign in before Wednesday night rather than waiting until the opening bell.
- Search for AEW Dynamite, or look in the live-TV, sports, or event area when the broadcast is about to begin.
- Select the live listing. If you arrive after the start, the available playback options may depend on the current Max interface and event controls.
Max’s device documentation lists support across major categories, including phones, tablets, computers, compatible smart TVs, streaming players, set-top boxes, and game consoles. Roku and Amazon Fire TV are among the supported device ecosystems identified in Max’s documentation. App support can still vary by exact model, operating system, country, and device age, so check the Max app store on your particular device before subscribing solely for that television.

If you already pay for a television package that includes TBS, you can watch Dynamite on the TBS channel at its scheduled time. This includes qualifying cable and satellite packages as well as authorized live-TV streaming services that carry TBS.
Cable or satellite
Use your provider’s channel guide to find TBS, then tune in shortly before 8 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday. Some providers also offer a TV-everywhere or provider-authenticated streaming option, but access depends on your subscription and the provider’s current support. A TBS listing alone does not mean every provider includes the channel in every package.

Live-TV streaming bundles
A live-TV streaming bundle can be a better fit than standalone Max if you want TBS alongside a larger collection of live news, sports, and entertainment channels. Sling publishes TBS information and offers Orange, Blue, and combined plan structures, but the exact channels, price, promotions, and eligibility can change. Check the provider’s current channel lineup using your ZIP code and verify that the package you intend to buy includes TBS.
Do not choose a provider solely because it advertises live television. The relevant questions are:
- Is TBS included in the specific plan?
- Is that plan available at your address?
- What is the current monthly price after any introductory promotion?
- Are local channels, regional restrictions, taxes, or equipment charges relevant?
- Can the service run on your television or streaming device?
How much does Max cost?
Max’s U.S. help documentation currently lists the following plan prices:
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual price |
|---|---|---|
| Basic with Ads | $9.99 per month | $99.99 per year |
| Standard | $16.99 per month | $169.99 per year |
| Premium | $20.99 per month | $209.99 per year |
These are volatile subscription figures and should be checked on Max’s current sign-up page before purchase. Taxes, promotions, billing terms, plan availability, and names may change.
Max’s plan documentation says live sports is included with Standard and Premium. For AEW Dynamite specifically, rely on the current AEW, TBS, and Warner Bros. Discovery listings for the live-access information rather than assuming that a plan description alone determines every event’s availability.
Also, do not assume that Standard or Premium guarantees an ad-free live Dynamite broadcast. Max’s advertising documentation says that live events may contain advertisements regardless of plan. A higher-priced plan may change the treatment of on-demand content or other features, but it should not be presented as a promise of an ad-free live event.

What device do you need?
You do not need special AEW hardware. You need an internet connection, an eligible Max subscription or a service carrying TBS, and a device that supports the relevant app or channel service.
If you already have a compatible smart TV
Connect the television to the internet, install or open Max, sign in, and search for AEW Dynamite. If you are using a live-TV bundle, install that provider’s app instead and open its live channel guide. Many newer smart TVs support the major streaming platforms, but older models may no longer receive current app updates.
If you use Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, or another streaming player
Install Max or your authorized live-TV provider’s app from the device’s app store. Confirm that the player is connected to the same home network used for internet access and that its software is current. Max identifies Roku and Amazon Fire TV among its supported ecosystems, but exact compatibility remains model-dependent.
If you want to watch on a computer, phone, or tablet
Use a compatible web browser on a computer or the Max app on a supported phone or tablet. This is often the fastest way to test the service before buying a new television device. For a live broadcast, use a stable Wi-Fi or wired connection and sign in ahead of time.

If you have an older television
If the TV has an available HDMI port but lacks a compatible Max app, an optional Roku Streaming Stick 4K can add a streaming interface. Roku describes the device as a Wi-Fi streaming player that connects directly to a television and supports HD, 4K, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision when the television and content support those formats.
The hardware does not provide programming by itself. You still need to connect it to Wi-Fi, install Max or an authorized live-TV app, and pay for the relevant subscription. If your television already supports Max, buying a streaming stick is unnecessary.

Can an antenna receive AEW Dynamite?
Do not count on an antenna alone. The researched viewing routes establish TBS as a pay-TV network and do not establish free over-the-air carriage. An antenna may receive local broadcast stations in your area, but it is not a substitute for Max, a cable or satellite package with TBS, or an authorized live-TV service that includes TBS.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which option should you choose?
- Choose Max if Dynamite is your main priority, you want to avoid traditional cable, and you already have a supported device.
- Choose a live-TV bundle with TBS if you want a broader channel lineup and live programming beyond AEW.
- Keep your cable or satellite package if it already includes TBS and you do not want another subscription or app.
- Add a streaming stick only if your existing television cannot run the necessary app but has an HDMI port.
Troubleshooting live Dynamite
The live listing is missing
Confirm that you are signed into the correct U.S. account, that your subscription is active, and that you are looking in the live or event area rather than only the on-demand library. Restarting the app and checking for an app or device update can resolve a stale listing. If you use TBS through a live-TV provider, verify that TBS is included in your exact package and location.
The stream is buffering
Test another stream on the same device, move closer to the Wi-Fi router, pause other high-bandwidth activity, or use an Ethernet connection where available. Restart the modem, router, and streaming device if the problem affects multiple services. A new streaming stick will not fix an overloaded or unreliable internet connection by itself.
The television cannot install Max
Check the TV model and operating-system requirements in Max’s current device-support documentation. If the model is unsupported, use a compatible computer, phone, game console, or streaming player. A Roku Streaming Stick 4K is one optional HDMI-based solution, provided the TV has a suitable port and the home network can support streaming.
U.S. availability only
This guide describes the U.S. rights and services documented for the current arrangement. TBS, Max, AEW programming rights, start times, and authorized streaming partners may differ outside the United States. Do not assume that a Max subscription or the U.S. Dynamite simulcast is available in another country without checking local AEW and broadcaster listings.

Will live AEW Dynamite be ad-free on Max?
Not necessarily. Max’s documentation says live events may contain ads regardless of plan, so Standard or Premium should not be treated as a guarantee of an ad-free live Dynamite broadcast.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: In the U.S., watch AEW Dynamite live on Max without traditional cable, or watch it on TBS through a cable, satellite, or eligible live-TV streaming package. Dynamite is currently listed for Wednesdays at 8/7c. A Roku or another supported streaming device can help an older TV run the app, but no device replaces the required subscription.
