To stream recorded Marathi sermons continuously on YouTube with FFmpeg, create a live stream in YouTube Studio, copy its current ingestion URL and stream key into FFmpeg, then start the encoder and verify the preview and stream health in Live Control Room. For a continuous feed, you must also configure and test how the recording repeats and how FFmpeg handles output interruptions; YouTube and FFmpeg documentation do not provide a single guaranteed, seamless loop command for every file and FFmpeg build.
Before you begin
You need an FFmpeg installation, a sermon recording you have the right to stream, and access to the YouTube channel’s Live Control Room. This workflow sends a prerecorded file to YouTube as a live broadcast; it does not make a camera or live microphone feed.
- Check that the recording’s audio and video play correctly and that you have permission to use all of its content.
- Use the ingestion URL and stream key shown for the specific stream you create. YouTube supports RTMP/RTMPS, HLS, and DASH ingestion types, but the available endpoint and values are supplied for the stream; do not assume an endpoint from an old tutorial is current. YouTube Live Streams API
- Keep the stream key private. Anyone with the key may be able to send video to your channel’s stream.
- Plan whether you need one ongoing live event or multiple scheduled broadcasts, and how you will handle archives. A long-running feed should not be treated as a guaranteed single replay.
Create the YouTube live stream
- In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. YouTube says a scheduled stream can be promoted, and its watch page is created when the encoder starts sending content. YouTube Help: Create a live stream with an encoder
- Open the stream’s encoder settings and copy its current server or ingestion URL and stream key.
- Use the configured protocol and endpoint shown for this stream. The YouTube API describes RTMP (including RTMPS), HLS, and DASH ingestion and distinguishes primary and optional backup ingestion addresses. The address and key are stream-specific, so use the values shown in your current YouTube setup. YouTube Live Streams API
- Leave Live Control Room open so you can inspect the preview, stream health, and any configuration warnings after FFmpeg connects.
Configure FFmpeg to send the recording
FFmpeg must read the media file and deliver audio and video to the YouTube endpoint in a format compatible with that endpoint. The exact command depends on your FFmpeg build, the file’s streams, and YouTube’s current stream settings. Insert the URL and key from your Live Control Room configuration; do not publish or share a command containing your real key.
For an initial test, send a short segment or a brief test broadcast rather than assuming a long unattended run will work. Confirm that FFmpeg is reading the intended audio and video streams, that YouTube receives both, and that the Live Control Room preview and health status show no unresolved configuration problem. YouTube’s encoder instructions cover entering the server URL and stream key and checking the live setup. YouTube Help: Create a live stream with an encoder

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The official FFmpeg material supports output reconnection controls and a FIFO muxer pattern for attempting RTMP output recovery, but it does not establish one complete YouTube-specific command for looping a sermon file. FFmpeg options and behavior can vary by installed version and build. Check the documentation for the options supported by your own installation before relying on them. Make the broadcast continuous—and test the loop
A continuous output involves two separate problems: repeating the input media and recovering the output connection if it fails. Do not assume that an FFmpeg reconnect setting repeats a file, or that repeating a file automatically reconnects to YouTube.

Validate repetition and the file boundary
Test the sermon recording you plan to use. Check its duration, available audio and video streams, mapping, and what viewers hear and see when playback reaches the end and begins again. The inspected official documentation does not guarantee a seamless audio transition at a file boundary, and the result can depend on the media and FFmpeg version. Review the boundary in a short test before using the recording for an unattended feed.
Plan for output interruptions
FFmpeg documents reconnection controls and a FIFO-based muxer approach for attempting to recover RTMP output after temporary errors. Such recovery may help with an interruption; it is not proof against persistent failures and does not guarantee that YouTube will never interrupt the viewer-facing broadcast. Test the recovery behavior with your actual build and connection. FFmpeg documentation FFmpeg formats and muxers

Keep the encoder running
FFmpeg only keeps sending while the machine or server running it remains powered, connected, and able to run the process. A local computer can serve for a test or a staffed broadcast; unattended continuous operation also requires a plan to keep the encoder environment running and to notice failures. Hosting FFmpeg on a server is an optional deployment choice, not a YouTube requirement.
Manage broadcasts and archives separately
YouTube’s API treats a broadcast as the watchable event and distinct video, and a stream as the audio/video delivery settings. Its guide describes reusing one stream for recurring broadcasts and gives an example involving a 24/7 feed alongside a second broadcast for part of that feed. These are API resource arrangements, not a promise that a basic encoder setup automatically creates or maintains the broadcast arrangement you want. YouTube Live Streaming API: Life of a Broadcast

YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not infer from that statement that a 24/7 feed will be saved as one complete replay. Marathi language or religious subject matter does not by itself establish that a recording is cleared for broadcast. Confirm that you have rights to the sermon recording and to any music, readings, images, or other material included in it. YouTube’s checks and policies still apply to a prerecorded file sent as a live stream; a successful connection is not a clearance of the content. Review YouTube’s current requirements and restrictions in Studio before scheduling a public broadcast.

Troubleshoot common failures
| Symptom | Possible cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| FFmpeg does not connect to YouTube | The endpoint or stream key is incorrect, stale, or copied from a different stream; the configured protocol may not match the endpoint. | Copy the current URL and key from that stream’s YouTube encoder settings, confirm the protocol shown there, and restart the test. |
| FFmpeg appears to send, but the preview is absent or unhealthy | The selected media streams or output configuration may not match what YouTube expects. | Inspect Live Control Room’s preview, health status, and configuration issues; verify the file’s audio/video streams and the chosen mapping. |
| The feed stops when the recording ends | Sending the file once does not by itself establish that it will repeat. | Validate your loop approach with the installed FFmpeg build and watch a test through the file boundary. |
| The stream drops after a network or output error | A temporary recovery setting may be absent or insufficient, or the underlying error may persist. | Check FFmpeg’s reconnection and FIFO muxer documentation, test recovery under the conditions you expect, and confirm the result in YouTube Live Control Room. |
| The archive does not contain the whole continuous feed | YouTube’s documented automatic archive case is for streams under 12 hours; it does not promise one complete replay for longer operation. | Plan broadcast and archive handling separately rather than relying on one all-day event to become a single complete video. |
