You can use an Android TV box as a possible playback source, but YouTube does not document a direct Android TV workflow for continuously looping podcast episodes to Live. The documented route is to send the video and audio through an encoder configured with your YouTube stream key. Whether a particular box can feed that encoder reliably depends on its video output, audio path, capture hardware and content-protection behavior—so test the full setup before relying on it unattended.
What an Android TV box can—and cannot—do here
YouTube lists encoder streaming alongside mobile, webcam and console streaming. Its encoder instructions explain how to connect an encoder to YouTube, but do not describe an Android TV app, a podcast playlist-looping feature for TV boxes, or a direct Android TV-to-YouTube Live procedure. Google’s Android Live instructions describe broadcasting a mobile device’s camera view; they do not establish support for Android TV boxes or this use case.
That leaves two distinct jobs: the box may play episodes, while a compatible encoder sends the resulting audio and video to YouTube. The box is only a potential source in this arrangement, not a verified streaming solution. You will need to establish that your exact hardware can supply the intended output to the encoder and keep the playlist playing as required.
Check the channel and content before setting up
Confirm live-stream eligibility
Before configuring equipment, confirm that live streaming is enabled for your YouTube channel. YouTube’s current guidance says the channel must be verified and have no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days. First-time enablement can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility requirements.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Use episodes you have the rights to stream
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects such content, it may replace the stream image with a placeholder, interrupt the stream or terminate it if the content continues. Having a license does not necessarily prevent an interruption: the rights owner may also need to allowlist your channel through Content ID. Check that your podcast recordings, music, artwork and other included material are cleared for this use, and consult YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
Build the DIY setup around a separate encoder
YouTube documents software encoders and standalone hardware encoders. The Android TV box would be an optional playback source in an external-encoder setup; it is not itself a YouTube-verified encoder for this workflow.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
- Choose and test the playback route. Check the exact box’s available video output and how its audio reaches the proposed encoder. If you plan to use an HDMI capture card as a bridge, verify that the specific capture device accepts the box’s output and captures the required audio and resolution. Confirm that content protection does not block capture. YouTube does not verify a particular box-and-capture-card combination for this purpose.
- Confirm playlist behavior. Establish that the box or another component in your setup can play the episodes in the intended order and repeat them unattended. The cited YouTube instructions do not provide a playlist-looping method for Android TV, so do not assume the YouTube app on the box will perform this task.
- Set up the encoder. In YouTube Studio, create or select the live stream and open its stream settings. Copy the server URL and stream key into the encoder you are using. Treat the stream key as a credential: do not publish or share it, and replace it if it is exposed.
- Check the signal before going live. Start playback and confirm the encoder receives both the episode’s sound and picture. Verify that the output is stable and that the intended playlist continues. Run a test before scheduling a public broadcast, especially if the stream is meant to operate unattended.
- Start and monitor the broadcast. Start sending content from the encoder, then check YouTube Live Control Room for the incoming stream and any warnings. For a continuous stream, make sure the encoder continues sending content; YouTube’s instructions do not turn an Android TV playback arrangement into a guaranteed unattended service.
- End the stream deliberately. Stop sending content from the encoder when you want the broadcast to end. YouTube’s encoder instructions state: “To end the stream, stop sending content from your encoder.”
For encoder setup details, see Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder. The documentation describes the YouTube-side connection, not Android TV compatibility or a particular capture-device configuration.
Plan for continuity and archives
A continuous broadcast depends on the playback source, capture path and encoder continuing to work together. Test the complete chain—including audio, playlist repeat behavior and recovery after a brief interruption—before leaving it unattended. The available YouTube documentation does not establish that an Android TV box can run this arrangement continuously without intervention.

YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume a longer continuous broadcast will be preserved as one video. If a single archive matters, keep the stream below that documented threshold or plan to handle longer programming as separate broadcasts. See the encoder guidance linked above.
YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation describes broadcast and stream resources, including a case where a 24/7 broadcast continues while video is not stopped. That API material does not establish an Android TV box solution or make the consumer-device setup above reliable by itself. See YouTube Live Streaming API: Getting Started.

Troubleshoot common setup failures
- You cannot start a live stream: Check channel verification, live-stream eligibility and any restrictions in the previous 90 days. If you have only just enabled streaming, allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- YouTube receives no signal: Confirm that the encoder has the correct server URL and stream key from the selected stream in YouTube Studio, and that it is actively sending content. Check the encoder’s input selection and restart the connection if needed.
- Picture arrives but sound does not: Trace the audio route from the Android TV box through the capture device to the encoder. Confirm that the capture device supports the audio format and connection you are using; compatibility is specific to the equipment.
- The capture device shows no picture: Check that the box’s output is supported by the capture device and that the output resolution is compatible. Content protection may prevent capture. Do not assume a capture card alone solves the issue or that another model will behave the same way.
- The episodes do not repeat: Check the playback component’s playlist and repeat controls. YouTube’s encoder setup does not supply looping playback, and the cited guidance does not identify an Android TV app that provides it for this use case.
- The broadcast is interrupted after copyrighted material appears: Review rights for the detected material. If you are licensed to use it, contact the rights owner about allowlisting your channel through Content ID; a license alone may not prevent an automated interruption.
- You need one archive for a long broadcast: YouTube only documents automatic archiving for streams under 12 hours. Break the programming into shorter streams if a single automatically archived video is important.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is a 24/7 YouTube stream of uploaded podcast episodes, StreamNeo is an alternative to a home box-and-encoder chain: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops uploaded videos from the cloud; it does not stream from a camera.
