To broadcast a looping playlist of Hindi videos as a YouTube Live stream from Windows, use OBS Studio’s VLC Video source with local video files, then connect OBS to a stream created in YouTube Studio. Keep the PC, OBS, power, and internet connection running for the broadcast to continue. If you mean repeat playback for yourself rather than broadcast live, use YouTube’s playlist Loop control instead; that does not create a live stream.
Choose the right kind of playlist
A YouTube playlist and a 24/7 live broadcast are different things. The YouTube player can repeat a playlist for viewing on your PC. To send a continuous broadcast to viewers, you need a YouTube Live stream and an encoder such as OBS. The Windows workflow below broadcasts local files; putting a regular YouTube playlist URL into OBS does not, by itself, start a live broadcast.
Repeat a YouTube playlist on your PC
- Open a video you want to include. On its watch page, choose More → Save → Create new playlist.
- Name the playlist, choose its visibility, and create it. A private playlist is visible only to its owner.
- For each additional video, choose More → Save and select the playlist. Open the playlist and drag videos into the order you want.
- Open a video in the playlist, expand the playlist panel on the right, and select Loop.
This repeats playback in the YouTube player; it does not make the playlist live for other viewers. YouTube notes that a video or channel marked Made for Kids cannot be added to a playlist from a homepage, though it can still be added from search results.
Prepare Windows and YouTube Live
Check channel eligibility and content rights
- Confirm that live streaming is enabled for your channel. YouTube Help says first-time enablement may take up to 24 hours. YouTube’s encoder guidance also requires a verified channel with no live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days. Check the current requirements in YouTube Studio.
- Use only videos and audio you own or have permission to stream. A video being publicly viewable on YouTube, or being in Hindi, does not grant rebroadcast rights.
- YouTube’s live-stream terms put responsibility on the content provider to have the necessary rights, including music rights. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; it may replace a stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. Even licensed material may require the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist.
Install and prepare the software
- Download OBS Studio from the official OBS download page. Its Windows release supports Windows 10 and 11; YouTube describes OBS as open-source software available at no charge.
- Install VLC as well. OBS’s VLC Video source depends on VLC, and 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC.
- Prepare local video files and check that they play with sound before going live. OBS’s built-in Media Source supports common formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM, MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV. For a sequence of files, use VLC Video rather than a single Media Source.
Build a looping Hindi-video playlist in OBS
- Open OBS and create a scene for the broadcast.
- Add a VLC Video source and add the local Hindi video files in the intended order.
- Leave Loop Playlist enabled. OBS documents this setting as restarting the source after it runs out of media files. Shuffle Playlist is off by default, so files play in list order unless you change it.
- Preview the scene. Check picture and audio, then confirm the last item returns to the first. This catches ordering, missing-file, and sound issues before viewers see the stream.
OBS’s loop setting handles the end of the file list, not computer or network failures. For a local broadcast to stay live, Windows must not sleep or shut down, OBS must remain open, and the PC must stay powered and connected to the internet.

Connect OBS to YouTube and start the broadcast
- In YouTube Studio, choose Create → Go Live to open Live Control Room.
- On the Stream tab, create a stream if this is your channel’s first encoder stream.
- In OBS’s streaming settings, select YouTube if its integration is available. Otherwise, copy the stream URL from YouTube into OBS’s server field and the stream key into its key field.
- Start streaming from OBS. Check the preview in Live Control Room before making the broadcast public. YouTube says the stream page is created after the encoder starts sending.
Treat the stream key like a password. Do not expose it in screenshots, a video description, or anywhere public. If it is disclosed, replace it in YouTube Studio before continuing.
Plan for interruptions and archives
A Windows PC and OBS are a do-it-yourself local encoder: power loss, a sleeping PC, an OBS crash, or a broken internet connection can stop the stream. A playlist loop does not restart the computer or restore a dropped connection. A genuinely continuous broadcast therefore needs ongoing availability, monitoring, and a recovery plan.

Consider archives separately from live playback. YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived and recommends keeping a local archive backup; a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. Do not rely on one 24-hour broadcast becoming a complete archive. If the recording matters, plan shorter streams and verify YouTube’s current archive behavior before scheduling them.

Troubleshoot common problems
