To stream a Telugu playlist continuously on YouTube Live, play and loop the videos in an encoder, then send that encoder’s live output to YouTube. The loop is controlled by the encoder—not by YouTube’s HLS ingestion playlist. Verify the loop in the encoder preview and the YouTube Live Control Room before making the broadcast public.

Before you set up the stream

  • Check channel eligibility. YouTube says live streaming requires a verified channel and no live streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. See YouTube’s live streaming tips.
  • Confirm you have the rights to every video. A channel’s eligibility and a working encoder do not give you permission to rebroadcast songs, films, performances, or other recordings. Check the rights for the video, audio, and any other material in each playlist item before streaming.
  • Prepare a source that can play continuously. Organize the Telugu videos in the order you want, and use an encoder whose current version supports your chosen playback source and repeat behavior. YouTube’s setup pages explain how to send a stream; they do not document loop controls for a particular desktop encoder.
  • Have stable upload capacity. The encoder sends a live signal continuously. Choose settings based on the resolution you intend to broadcast and your available upload bandwidth; YouTube recommends testing the connection and settings before starting.

Set up the playlist and YouTube broadcast

  1. Prepare the videos. Check the order, playback, and audio of each Telugu video. In your encoder, configure the playlist or media source to continue or repeat, using the encoder’s current documentation for the exact controls. Do not assume a YouTube setting will loop files on your computer.
  2. Prepare a broadcast in YouTube Studio. Open the Live Control Room, create or select the broadcast, and choose the ingestion protocol you intend to use. YouTube’s computer live-streaming guidance covers preparing an encoder-based broadcast and checking its preview: YouTube live streaming tips.
  3. Connect the encoder. Use the stream details and key supplied for that broadcast in the encoder. Treat the key as a password: do not publish it, share it, or include it in screenshots. Match the encoder’s output to the protocol and current settings YouTube specifies.
  4. Check the loop before going public. Start a private or unlisted test if appropriate. Confirm the encoder advances through the playlist and returns to the beginning, then check YouTube’s Live Control Room preview for picture and sound. Pay particular attention to the transition at the loop boundary: playback should not stop, leave a long silence, or lose audio.
  5. Start and monitor the intended broadcast. Once the preview is healthy, start the public broadcast as planned. Keep monitoring audio and video, and make sure the source continues playing rather than reaching the end and stopping.

Choose RTMPS or HLS

The practical choice is the protocol your encoder supports and your stream requires. YouTube recommends RTMPS for ordinary live content. HLS is an option when you have an HLS-compatible encoder configured to meet YouTube’s requirements, but it has higher latency.

Protocol When it fits What to know
RTMPS A suitable default for ordinary live content when the encoder supports it. YouTube recommends RTMPS, the secure extension of RTMP. Follow YouTube’s current guidance for resolution, bitrate, frame rate, codecs, and keyframes rather than treating one setting as right for every connection. YouTube encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions
HLS When HLS output is needed and the encoder can be configured for YouTube’s HLS ingestion. Choose HLS in the Live Control Room and use the HTTPS stream URL in the encoder. YouTube’s HLS setup specifies Transport Stream segments, HTTPS POST/PUT, segment durations of 1–4 seconds, and a rolling playlist with no more than 5 outstanding segments. HLS has higher latency than RTMP-style continuous streaming. YouTube HLS setup

For HLS, YouTube’s media playlist is part of the delivery protocol: it lists the video segments being sent to YouTube. It is not the Telugu source playlist and does not make your local videos repeat. The encoder still needs to keep playing the source. For protocol details, see Google’s HLS ingestion guide.

Settings that affect a continuous broadcast

Use YouTube’s current encoder guidance

Set resolution, frame rate, bitrate, keyframe frequency, and audio/video codecs in the encoder according to YouTube’s current recommendations for your target output and actual upload capacity. There is no single safe bitrate for every resolution and connection. YouTube recommends testing upload bitrate and the complete encoder setup before starting; consult its current encoder settings page rather than copying values without regard to your output.

Check continuity, not just the first minute

A stream can look correct at first and still fail when a source item ends. Let the test run long enough to see the playlist move to another video and complete a loop boundary. Listen for missing audio as well as silence, and check that the encoder does not pause or exit when a file ends. These are checks for the continuous-playback goal, not additional YouTube protocol requirements.

Common problems and fixes

  • YouTube does not receive a signal: Confirm the broadcast is prepared, the selected protocol matches the encoder output, and the current stream details were entered correctly. If you exposed the stream key, replace it before trying again.
  • The playlist stops after one video: The source or encoder may be set to play once. Check the encoder’s documentation for its repeat or playlist behavior, then verify the return to the first item in its preview.
  • The Live Control Room preview is blank or reports an issue: Check that the encoder is running, its output matches the selected protocol, and the settings conform to YouTube’s current guidance. Wait for the preview to appear and resolve any displayed warnings before starting the public broadcast.
  • Video stutters or drops frames: Compare the encoder’s chosen output with the upload capacity available to the streaming computer. Test the bitrate as YouTube recommends; lower the output demand if the connection cannot sustain it.
  • Audio disappears or breaks at a transition: Check the source files and the encoder’s audio routing, then test the transition again. Do not rely only on a still image or a moving video preview to confirm sound.
  • The stream has more delay than expected: If you chose HLS, its segmented delivery has higher latency than RTMP-style continuous streaming. Use RTMPS if it suits the encoder and broadcast requirements and lower latency matters.
  • YouTube restricts or interrupts the broadcast: Check the channel’s live-streaming eligibility and address any YouTube notices. Separately, verify that you are authorized to rebroadcast every item; technical compliance does not establish content rights.
