1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTo stream several pre-recorded videos as one YouTube Live broadcast in a specific order, use an encoder or streaming service that can play a sequential queue, then send its output to a YouTube Live event. YouTube Studio creates and manages the event; the playback tool controls the order. YouTube’s documentation describes the encoder workflow but does not document a built-in YouTube Live queue for playing multiple videos in a chosen sequence.
What you need—and what YouTube does not do
A YouTube Live event is a live ingest from an encoder, even when the encoder is playing recordings rather than a camera feed. A regular YouTube channel playlist is different: it organizes uploaded videos for viewers but does not turn them into one continuous live broadcast.
The encoder or service must provide the ordered playback. Before choosing one, verify that it can load multiple files, set their sequence, and handle transitions, gaps, failed files, and what happens when the last video ends. YouTube’s own guidance explains connecting an encoder to Live Control Room, but does not describe a native multi-video live queue. YouTube’s encoder instructions name tools for prerecorded streaming; that mention alone does not verify a particular tool’s current queue controls, plan limits, availability, or terms.
Check channel eligibility and plan the event
Before preparing the playlist, confirm the channel is eligible to live stream. YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance for current requirements.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Decide whether the event should be public, private, or unlisted, and set its title and other event details in YouTube Studio. Privacy affects who can find or watch the event; it does not change the encoder’s playback order. The available controls are described in YouTube’s live-stream settings.
Choose a playback route
Local encoder
A software or hardware encoder can play the media and send the output to YouTube. This gives you direct control over the playback setup, but the computer or equipment running the encoder and its network connection must remain available for the broadcast. Confirm that the specific encoder supports an ordered file queue; prerecorded playback by itself does not guarantee sequencing.

Cloud playback service
A hosted service can handle playback without relying on a computer at home staying on. Compare services on queue order, scheduling, transitions, recovery after interruptions, monitoring, and current terms. YouTube’s documentation does not validate products against those criteria, so verify the vendor’s current feature descriptions and rehearse the exact sequence before relying on it.
Prepare the playlist and YouTube event
- Select the playback tool first. Verify it accepts your files or hosted media, allows you to arrange them in the intended order, and explains what happens at the end of the queue or if a file cannot play. Check transitions and audio continuity in a rehearsal.
- Create or schedule the event. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. Set the title, privacy, and other event details.
- Connect the encoder. Copy the event’s stream URL and stream key from YouTube into the encoder’s YouTube or RTMP settings. Treat the key like a password; do not publish or share it. YouTube supports RTMP/RTMPS encoder connections and recommends RTMPS for encrypted ingest. Its encoder settings guidance covers connection and stream configuration.
- Arrange and inspect the queue. Put every video in order in the playback tool, check that the files are ready, and confirm the intended behavior between items and after the final item. Queue controls are tool-specific; YouTube channel playlist controls are not a substitute.
Test, start, and monitor the broadcast
- Rehearse privately or as an unlisted event. Start the encoder and inspect the Live Control Room preview. Check that the picture and sound are present, the sequence is correct, and the intended audience can access the event.
- Test representative content. YouTube recommends testing representative audio and motion, reviewing the feed, checking accessibility, and monitoring stream health. Consult its streaming tips and encoder settings guidance.
- Start the scheduled stream. Start playback in the encoder. When the preview appears in Live Control Room, select Go live. Starting the encoder and starting the scheduled YouTube event are separate actions.
- Keep watch while it runs. Monitor audio, video, and stream-health messages. If the feed drops or a file stalls, use the encoder’s recovery controls and confirm YouTube receives the stream again.
- End and check the archive. End the broadcast using YouTube’s stream controls, then check the recording in Studio. YouTube’s encoder instructions state that streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; for a longer planned event, verify current archive behavior rather than assuming it will be saved the same way.
