YouTube does not promise unattended, uninterrupted operation: a connection or encoder failure, a platform restriction, or a copyright match can stop the broadcast.
1. Check that your channel can livestream
Before assembling the playlist, verify your YouTube channel and check that it has no live-streaming restrictions from the previous 90 days. YouTube says the minimum age to livestream is 16. These checks do not grant music rights or guarantee that a particular broadcast will be approved. See YouTube’s livestream eligibility guidance.
2. Choose a method for the continuous presentation
YouTube supports livestreaming by mobile device, webcam, or encoder. For a fixed playlist with a devotional image, rotating visuals, or overlays, an encoder is a sensible choice: YouTube describes encoders as suitable for more production control, including overlays and hardware. That is a practical recommendation, not a YouTube requirement or a special 24/7 setup endorsed by the platform. Read YouTube’s encoder tips.
- Encoder: Best suited to a planned, repeatable presentation with a prepared visual and audio source. The operator still needs to set it up, test it, and monitor the stream.
- Mobile or webcam: Supported options for livestreaming, but less naturally suited to a fixed playlist presentation that must keep running unattended.
3. Prepare and test the stream
YouTube’s official guidance supports setting up an encoder, previewing the stream in Live Control Room, checking that viewers can access the watch page, and monitoring stream quality. It does not prescribe one third-party program, operating-system workflow, bitrate, computer specification, or unattended playlist configuration for this use case. Follow the setup instructions for the encoder you choose rather than assuming a particular configuration applies to all software.

- Prepare the presentation. Assemble the audio and the visual viewers will see, such as a still image or a simple visual layout. Confirm that you have permission to use every image and recording in the broadcast.
- Set up the broadcast in YouTube Studio. Create the livestream and connect your encoder using the stream destination and key provided in YouTube’s live setup. Treat the stream key as private; anyone who obtains it may be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Preview before going public. Check the audio, picture, stream status, and watch-page access in Live Control Room. A preview is a chance to catch problems, not proof that the stream will remain uninterrupted.
- Test the playlist and recovery plan. Confirm that the audio source advances as intended and decide who will notice and respond if the encoder or connection fails. YouTube recommends testing encoder failover; a test helps reveal problems but does not guarantee continuous service.
For operational advice, including leaving upload bandwidth headroom and testing failover, consult YouTube’s streaming tips. Test your outbound upload connection rather than relying on download speed alone. A wired connection can be a practical option for a stationary setup, but no connection type guarantees uninterrupted streaming.
4. Clear rights for every bhajan recording
“Bhajan” describes devotional content, not its copyright status. A composition, lyrics, arrangement, and sound recording can involve different rights. A song being old, religious, or labeled “free” does not establish that you may stream a particular recording. YouTube’s terms place responsibility on the content provider to have the necessary rights for use on Google services, including applicable music rights. Review YouTube’s livestream terms.

Use recordings only after confirming that the permissions cover your intended use. YouTube points to options such as original music, public-domain music, its Audio Library, Creator Music in certain regions, and licensed third-party music; availability and terms vary. Check the exact license for live transmission and, if you keep a replay, archived use. YouTube cautions that music labeled “free” online can still be flagged by Content ID. See YouTube’s safe-music guidance. No particular Punjabi bhajan catalog or rights provider is established here, so verify the recordings and license directly.
5. Account for live copyright checks and the replay
YouTube scans livestreams for third-party content. A match can lead to a placeholder, warning, interruption, or termination. If you have licensed third-party recordings, ask the rights owner whether your channel needs to be added to its Content ID allowlist; YouTube says a licensed stream may still be interrupted if the channel is not allowlisted. An allowlist request is not a substitute for permission.

Decide separately whether to retain a replay. Confirm that the license covers the archive, relevant territories, and any monetization you intend to use. Archived streams may receive Content ID claims after the live broadcast ends. YouTube’s live copyright guidance explains its matching and allowlisting process. Licensing questions can depend on the material and jurisdiction; these platform resources are not a determination of your legal rights.

- Check actual upload performance and leave bandwidth headroom; do not plan around a speed-test download result.
- Preview audio and video and check that the intended audience can open the watch page.
- Test what happens if the encoder or network connection drops, and decide how someone will detect and respond to an interruption.
- For a fixed encoder, Ethernet is an option to consider, not a YouTube requirement or a guarantee. YouTube’s failover advice includes testing an Ethernet disconnection.
A 24/7 schedule still needs an operational plan: power loss, local internet trouble, encoder faults, YouTube restrictions, and rights enforcement can all interrupt it. YouTube’s setup guidance does not promise continuous unattended service.

7. Help viewers identify the stream
Use a clear title and description that accurately identify the Punjabi devotional playlist, and make the visual identity easy to recognize. YouTube says tags generally play a minimal role in discovery except when a term is commonly misspelled; do not rely on tags alone to bring viewers to a stream.
