You can broadcast prerecorded Indian music and visuals as a live YouTube stream by sending them through streaming software or an encoder. For a 24/7 channel, the first job is not choosing software: it is confirming that you have permission for the exact recordings and visuals, for continuous live use and any saved archive. YouTube may interrupt a live stream over third-party content even when you have a license, so ask applicable rights owners to allowlist your channel through Content ID.
Before you build the channel, clear the music and visuals
Make an inventory of every recording, composition, video clip, image, and other third-party element you plan to use. Confirm permission for the intended use: a continuous live broadcast, the territories you plan to reach, the duration of use, monetization if applicable, and whether you will keep an archive. Rights can differ by recording, composition, territory, and use; there is no single blanket answer for Indian music without knowing the catalogue and who controls those rights.
Do not treat a track as cleared merely because it is described as royalty-free, appears in a distributor’s catalogue, is already on YouTube, or was previously recorded. Those facts alone do not establish permission for this continuous livestream and its archive. Confirm the scope with the relevant rights holders or qualified counsel before scheduling the broadcast.
YouTube Help’s “Copyright issues with live streams” says: “If you’ve licensed third-party content to use in your stream, ask the owner of the content to add your channel to their allowlist through Content ID.” A license does not itself ensure that YouTube will recognize your channel as authorized in time to prevent an interruption.

Prepare the channel and broadcast feed
1. Enable live streaming ahead of launch
YouTube for Artists advises first-time creators to enable live streaming and verify the account at least 24 hours before going live. Do this well before your planned start, rather than treating account access as a last-minute setup task.
2. Choose an encoder that can sustain your intended schedule
An encoder sends the combined audio-video feed to YouTube. YouTube for Artists describes encoder streaming as offering more customization and control than a simple mobile or webcam stream. For a 24/7 channel, separately verify that the software or hardware you choose can play your planned playlist continuously and has recovery behavior appropriate to your needs. The official YouTube sources described here do not specify an unattended playlist scheduler, machine specification, redundancy design, or automatic-reconnect policy, so do not assume those capabilities are built into every encoder.

3. Connect the encoder to the YouTube stream
Create or select the intended live broadcast in YouTube’s streaming workflow and use the associated stream details to connect your encoder. YouTube’s API describes a broadcast as associated with a stream that carries the actual audio-video feed. Enter the stream key only in the encoder’s designated stream settings, keep it private, and do not publish it in a video, description, or public chat. The precise labels and controls depend on the encoder and YouTube interface in use.
4. Match the encoder output to the available stream settings
Set the encoder’s video and audio output to values supported by the stream configuration shown in your YouTube workflow and by your source files and connection. Check resolution, frame rate, video and audio encoding options, bitrate, and keyframe interval in the current settings for both ends; use matching supported values rather than copying a preset that may not fit your feed. The official material summarized here does not establish numeric bitrate, resolution, frame-rate, or keyframe recommendations for this particular 24/7 use case, so it would be misleading to present one universal preset as a YouTube requirement.

5. Test the whole chain privately
YouTube for Artists recommends an unlisted test before a high-production or high-investment event. Check that the stream is visible, that the intended audio and visuals are present, and that the encoder is sending the correct feed. An unlisted test can expose setup mistakes, but a short test does not prove that a channel will run unattended for 24 hours or that the material is rights-cleared.
Operate the stream with live and archive risks in mind
Watch for live-content warnings
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If it detects material, it may replace the stream with a placeholder image, warn you to stop using the material, and temporarily interrupt or terminate the broadcast if the issue continues. Copyright or Community Guidelines strikes can also terminate a stream. Keep a way to see YouTube’s warnings and respond; a continuous playlist is not a substitute for monitoring the live session.

Decide separately whether to retain the archive
If YouTube archives the completed stream, Content ID claims can be made after the live broadcast ends. Depending on the rights owner’s policy, a matched video may be blocked, monetized by the rights holder (sometimes with revenue sharing), or tracked; outcomes can vary by geography. Decide whether an archive is useful and covered by your permissions, then inspect it for claims after the session rather than assuming a live broadcast’s outcome settles archive rights.
Do not confuse Content ID live matching with a music license
YouTube’s live Content ID matching feature is available only to certain Content Manager partners. YouTube lists global rights and exclusive ownership among its requirements, and says a stream using that setup cannot include third-party material such as background music. It is not a general route for a creator to livestream a playlist of music they do not control.

Troubleshoot by symptom
| Symptom | What to check | Practical response |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot start the broadcast | Whether live streaming has been enabled and the account verified in advance. | Complete YouTube’s setup before launch; YouTube for Artists advises allowing at least 24 hours for a first-time creator. |
| The broadcast starts but the wrong or no audio-video feed appears | The selected source, encoder output, and stream associated with the broadcast. | Run an unlisted test and confirm the intended audio and visuals are reaching YouTube before announcing the channel. |
| YouTube warns about third-party content or interrupts the stream | The exact matched recording or visual, permission scope, and whether the relevant owner has allowlisted the channel. | Respond to YouTube’s notice, stop using material you cannot verify, and contact the rights owner about permission and Content ID allowlisting. |
| The live broadcast finishes but the saved video receives a claim | The archive’s Content ID notice and the rights owner’s policy, including geographic limits. | Review the claim and the permission covering archived use; live clearance does not guarantee the archive will remain unrestricted. |
| The encoder stops or the playlist does not continue | Whether the chosen software or hardware supports the intended unattended playlist and recovery behavior. | Verify those capabilities with the encoder’s documentation and test the setup. YouTube’s cited guidance does not promise a particular scheduler or automatic-reconnect design. |
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for keeping a channel live from uploaded videos. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; your computer and home connection do not have to remain on. Each slot includes 24/7 looping and playlists, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, and automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. Your uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot rather than quality tiers. The first day is free with no card; UPI works for Indian customers, and cards are accepted in India and worldwide. The monthly price is $9.99 per month.
These operating conveniences do not replace music or visual rights clearance: settle permissions and any needed allowlisting for your channel before you start. See StreamNeo, then start your free first day.
