To broadcast a breathing-exercise playlist as a continuous YouTube Live stream, use an encoder to send prerecorded video to your channel. A YouTube playlist that you loop for yourself is different: it repeats playback for an individual viewer and does not create a live broadcast.
Choose between a live broadcast and looping a playlist
If you want viewers to watch a continuous public broadcast, create a YouTube Live stream and connect an encoder that plays your prerecorded videos. You can use streaming software on a computer or a hardware encoder; YouTube describes both as options rather than endorsing a particular device. See YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.
If you only want videos in an existing playlist to repeat while you watch, use YouTube’s playlist loop control. That repeats playback on your device; it does not make your channel live. See YouTube’s playlist looping instructions.
Check channel eligibility and prepare the videos
- Your channel must be verified and must not have live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days. Enable live streaming before the planned start; first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
- Gather the video files in the order you want them to play, then build the playlist in your encoder. Confirm that the files and their sound are suitable for continuous playback.
- Check that you have the rights to use every video and audio track in the stream. YouTube’s playlist rules can apply when combined videos would violate Community Guidelines, and a match to another copyrighted live broadcast can restrict live-streaming ability. Read YouTube’s playlist policy and live-stream restrictions guidance.
Set up the encoder and start the broadcast
- Open YouTube Studio and create or schedule a live stream. Go to the Live Control Room and set the stream’s title, visibility, and other broadcast details. Choose public, unlisted, or private deliberately, according to who should be able to watch.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key from YouTube Live Control Room. Enter them in your encoder’s YouTube connection settings. Treat the key like a password: anyone with it may be able to send a feed to your stream. YouTube’s stream settings guidance explains the available settings.
- Load the breathing-exercise playlist in the encoder. Set the encoder to repeat the playlist if you want the prerecorded videos to continue in sequence. The exact control depends on the software or hardware you use; YouTube does not prescribe one encoder or playlist interface.
- Test before going live. Connect the encoder, check the Live Control Room preview, and confirm the watch page works on both a computer and a phone. Check picture and sound before announcing the stream.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Keep an eye on audio and video while it is live, and respond to encoder or network warnings. YouTube recommends setting up the encoder in advance and monitoring the stream continuously; see its live-streaming tips.
Plan for a reliable 24/7 stream
A software encoder needs a computer that remains on and connected, plus a sufficiently stable upload connection. A laptop can be enough; YouTube says expensive equipment is not necessary. A dedicated computer is an optional convenience, not a YouTube requirement.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Check upload speed, not just download speed. YouTube recommends leaving 20% upload-bandwidth headroom. Network interruptions can still break a broadcast, so test the connection under the conditions in which you intend to stream.
- Test the full path. Verify the encoder preview and public watch page, then check from a phone as well. Monitor the stream after launch rather than assuming that a successful start guarantees uninterrupted playback.
- Decide whether viewers need DVR. If viewers should be able to pause or rewind, check the stream’s DVR options in the Live Control Room before starting.
- Do not assume a full-day replay will be saved as one archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; its cited guidance does not establish that a 24-hour stream is saved as one complete replay. Plan separately if you need a complete recording.
Troubleshoot common failures
- The channel cannot go live: verify the channel and check for live-stream restrictions. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours for it to become available.
- The encoder will not connect: check that the stream URL and key were copied correctly into the encoder. If you suspect the key has been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- The stream drops or looks unstable: check upload capacity and network interruptions. Leave YouTube’s recommended 20% upload headroom, and retest the connection and encoder before restarting.
- Viewers cannot see the broadcast: confirm the stream’s visibility setting and test the watch page using a viewer account or device that matches the intended audience.
- A video or soundtrack raises a rights issue: remove or replace material you are not authorized to stream. Review YouTube’s playlist and live-stream restriction policies before relaunching.
