Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo control Streamlabs Desktop with a Logitech keyboard, open the keyboard’s Assignments panel in G HUB, choose Actions > Streamlabs Desktop, then drag an action onto a supported G-key or F-key. The documented integration includes controls for streaming, recording, scenes, sources and mixer audio. You do not need extra gear, but your exact keyboard must support the relevant programmable-key assignments.
What the G HUB–Streamlabs integration does
Logitech G HUB configures compatible Logitech devices. Its Streamlabs Desktop integration lets you assign keyboard keys to controls in Streamlabs Desktop. You can use a single Action for one control or a Macro to combine actions—for example, switch scenes and start recording together.
Examples of documented controls include toggling streaming or recording, switching scenes, activating or deactivating a source, muting or unmuting the mixer, and setting mixer volume. The guide identifies Toggle Streaming and Toggle Recording as default actions.
What you need before setting it up
- G HUB installed and updated.
- Streamlabs Desktop installed. It may need to be open when you create or use an assignment.
- A Logitech keyboard supported by G HUB with programmable G-keys or, on some supported keyboards, F-key assignments. Logitech and Streamlabs do not provide a complete compatibility matrix for every model in the cited guides, so check your specific keyboard in your installed version of G HUB before relying on the feature.
This assignment controls Streamlabs Desktop; it does not set up your stream itself. For example, selecting a microphone and adding game or screen capture sources are separate Streamlabs Desktop setup tasks. Streamlabs’ getting-started guide, dated July 22, 2026, covers those tasks.

Set up a G HUB key for Streamlabs Desktop
- Update G HUB. If automatic updates are off, open G HUB’s pop-out menu, select Settings, then choose Check for Updates. The integration guide recommends the latest G HUB version.
- Open your keyboard’s assignments. On G HUB’s main screen, select a supported Logitech keyboard and click the plus icon on the left to open Assignments.
- Choose a Streamlabs action. Select Actions, then Streamlabs Desktop. Choose a default action such as Toggle Streaming or Toggle Recording. To add a different control, select Create New Action and choose the action type.
- Assign the action to a key. Drag it onto a G-key. If your supported keyboard has no dedicated G-keys, enable the FN toggle if it appears, then drag the action onto a function key.
- Open Streamlabs Desktop if prompted. G HUB may ask to launch Streamlabs Desktop if it is not already running.
G HUB’s exact labels and layout may change between releases. Streamlabs’ integration guide, published February 22, 2023 and last updated March 5, 2025, documents the workflow above; it does not guarantee identical screens in later versions. See the Streamlabs G HUB integration guide for its illustrated walkthrough.
Assign a microphone mute, scene change or macro
Mute or unmute the microphone
In the Streamlabs Desktop action controls, create or select a Mute Mixer action and choose Mic/Aux as the mixer input. Drag that action onto the desired key. Confirm that the microphone is present in Streamlabs Desktop’s mixer; the key assignment is a control, not a substitute for configuring the input.

Switch scenes or control a source
Choose the relevant scene or source action under Streamlabs Desktop in G HUB, then drag it to a supported key. The integration guide describes scene switching and source activation or deactivation as available types of control. The available choices may depend on the current Streamlabs Desktop setup.
Combine actions in a macro
Use a macro when one key should trigger more than one action. The guide gives changing to a scene and toggling recording as an example. Create the actions, combine them as a macro in G HUB, and assign the macro to a supported key. Consider the order carefully: a macro that toggles a state may produce a different result if pressed more than once.

Troubleshoot missing actions or unresponsive keys
- Streamlabs Desktop is missing from the Actions list: check for G HUB updates using Settings > Check for Updates, then launch Streamlabs Desktop and check again. These are the troubleshooting steps specified by Streamlabs’ integration guide.
- Your keyboard has no G-keys: check whether the FN toggle and F-key assignments are available for that device in G HUB. Their availability is not established for every keyboard model.
- The action or menu has a different name or location: software interfaces can change. The guide was last updated March 5, 2025, and may not match every later release exactly.
- You are looking at a Logitech Marketplace plugin: Logitech lists a separate Streamlabs Desktop plugin that mentions automatically populated scenes, sources, audio and scene collections. It is a separate listing, not a stated prerequisite for the G HUB keyboard assignments described here.
Logitech’s G HUB support page provides product support information. Confirm support for your exact keyboard and current software before buying hardware or assuming a missing assignment is a fault.
