Before you schedule: check the channel and the recording
Confirm YouTube live access
YouTube requires a verified channel and no live-streaming restriction within the previous 90 days. Check the channel before building the schedule. YouTube’s live-streaming tips explain eligibility.
Confirm rights to the bhajan recording
Make sure you have the rights needed to livestream the specific recording on YouTube. The recording and the underlying musical composition can involve separate rights; being devotional, widely shared, or freely available online does not establish permission. Confirm that the rights cover the intended stream, any saved replay, relevant territories, and planned monetization. YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility for necessary rights on the person providing the stream.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. A match may trigger a warning, a placeholder, interruption, or termination. Even with a license, the rights holder may need to allowlist your channel in Content ID for the stream not to be interrupted. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams. Creator Music licenses and revenue-sharing tracks described by YouTube apply to long-form videos, not livestreams; do not treat them as live-stream clearance. Connect YouTube and schedule one looping video
- Connect the channel. In the OneStream dashboard, open Social Platforms. Choose Add Platform or Connect beside YouTube, select the right account and channel, and authorize access. Confirm that the channel appears among connected platforms. See OneStream’s YouTube connection guide.
- Start a prerecorded stream. Choose Pre-recorded Stream, then Add Videos.
- Select the bhajan file. Choose it from your device, OneStream storage, or supported cloud storage.
- Set the loop count. Choose how many times the video should play. OneStream’s help article documents a maximum of 60 plays. The repetition is finite, so choose a count appropriate to the planned broadcast.
- Choose YouTube as the destination. Select the connected channel, enter the stream details, and schedule the broadcast.

Choose a playlist or continuous streaming when one video is not enough

A recurring event versus a 24/7 channel

Understand replay and monetization limits
A successful stream does not by itself mean a channel or recording qualifies for monetization. YouTube’s channel-level monetization policy treats reused content as repurposed material without significant original commentary, substantive modification, or educational or entertainment value. A simple loop should not be assumed eligible. Review YouTube’s channel monetization policies before planning revenue around repeated recordings.

Troubleshoot common setup problems
- YouTube does not appear as a destination: Return to Social Platforms and connect or reauthorize the intended YouTube account and channel.
- The channel cannot go live: Check verification status and whether a live-streaming restriction occurred in the last 90 days.
- The stream stops before it feels continuous: A loop-count stream is finite and capped at 60 plays. For distinct tracks, use a playlist; for continuous channel-style operation, review the separate 24-hour option and its plan and duration limits.
- YouTube warns, replaces, or interrupts the stream: Investigate a possible third-party content match. Verify the rights for the actual recording and ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting if you hold a license.
- The upload is rejected or playback quality is poor: Check the file against OneStream’s recommended formats, codecs, resolution, frame rate, and bitrates above.
- You expect monetization but it is unavailable: Separate the scheduling controls from YouTube eligibility. Review channel-level monetization rules and the specific recording’s rights.
