You can run a 24/7 Hindu bhajan channel on YouTube by streaming a rights-cleared playlist through an encoder—or by using a cloud service that plays uploaded videos—while keeping the stream key secure and planning separately for music rights, interruptions and archives. YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. A continuous broadcast is not the same as a guaranteed complete replay: streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all.
Before you build a continuous bhajan channel
Confirm that the channel can go live
YouTube’s “Get started with live streaming” guidance says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Check the operator’s eligibility against YouTube’s current age requirements as well. If live streaming is unavailable, resolve that before preparing a long-running broadcast.
Clear the rights to every part of the program
Do not assume a bhajan is free to rebroadcast because it is devotional, widely shared online, or credited to an artist. You are responsible for having the necessary rights for the music and any other third-party material, such as artwork, video or photographs. Get written confirmation that permission covers YouTube livestreaming, the territories you intend to reach, the length of use, and any archived replay or video-on-demand use you plan to keep.
If a rights holder uses Content ID, ask whether the channel must be allowlisted before you go live. A licence or permission does not by itself prevent an automated match from interrupting a stream. YouTube says its live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content; a match may result in a warning, a placeholder image, interruption or termination. Rights questions can depend on jurisdiction and the specific agreement, so this is not a substitute for legal advice.

Decide what viewers should experience
Plan the channel as a program, not only as a playlist: decide whether it will have a consistent visual identity, devotional context, named segments, or original host material. Choose whether viewers will see one uninterrupted live event or a succession of scheduled sessions, and decide in advance whether preserving complete replays matters.
Set up a YouTube encoder stream
- Prepare the program. Assemble only recordings and visuals you have cleared for the intended live use. Keep a copy of the source files and the written permissions together so you can check the scope if a rights question arises.
- Open YouTube Studio and create or schedule an encoder stream. Set the title, description and visibility for the broadcast. Choose visibility deliberately: a private or unlisted test can help check the production chain before a public launch, but it does not replace music clearance.
- Configure the stream controls. Set the stream key and stream URL in the encoder, and set auto-start, auto-stop and DVR according to how you intend to start, end and manage the stream. Keep the key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send video to the stream.
- Set the encoder output to match the actual production. Choose the resolution and other output settings supported by your encoder and use the current ingest guidance presented by YouTube and the encoder. Bitrate and keyframe interval are encoder settings that affect the video sent to YouTube; there is no single value established here for every resolution, frame rate and encoder. Do not copy a numeric preset without checking that it fits your source and current platform guidance.
- Run a short, rights-cleared end-to-end test. Check that the video reaches the correct YouTube event, the audio is audible and balanced, the visual loop behaves as intended, the network connection is stable, and the encoder can be restarted. If a replay or archive is important, test local recording too.
- Start the scheduled broadcast and monitor it. Watch YouTube’s live dashboard for stream health, copyright warnings and actions that need attention. Keep the person responsible for the channel able to respond if YouTube flags third-party material or the encoder disconnects.
Choose between one continuous stream and shorter sessions
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. It recommends keeping a local recording as a backup. A single 24-hour feed therefore should not be treated as a dependable way to produce a complete YouTube replay.

| Approach | Archive outlook | Operational trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| One stream running beyond 12 hours | YouTube says it may not be captured at all. Keep a local recording if a full replay matters. | Fewer planned event changes, but a long-running event needs monitoring and a recovery plan. |
| Shorter scheduled sessions, each under 12 hours | Eligible for automatic archiving, though an archive should not be treated as a substitute for a local backup when preservation matters. | Creates planned restart points and more individual events to schedule and manage. |
Choose based on what matters most to your channel: replay completeness, viewer continuity, the effort of restarting, moderation workload and how much local storage you can dedicate to recordings. If you need both a continuous listening experience and dependable replay files, keep a local recording and plan how separate sessions or recordings will be presented to viewers.
Plan for monetization without assuming approval
YouTube applies originality and reused-content review to live streams. A collection of other people’s songs, or repetitive material with little original contribution, may not qualify for monetization even if you have permission to use the recordings. Copyright clearance and reused-content eligibility are separate questions.

YouTube describes live ads and eligible fan-funding features, but ad slots are not guaranteed. Its Creator Music licensing and revenue-sharing guidance applies to long-form videos, not livestreams. If monetization matters, make your own creative contribution clear and review YouTube’s current monetization policies before investing in a channel plan.
Troubleshoot common problems
- You cannot start a live stream: Check that the channel is verified and has no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days; confirm the operator meets YouTube’s current age requirements.
- YouTube warns about music or replaces the picture: Check the live dashboard and act on the notice. Confirm that the rights cover livestream use and that the owner has allowlisted the channel if required. Permission and Content ID allowlisting are not interchangeable.
- The broadcast stops or disconnects: Check encoder status and network stability, then follow the stream’s restart and recovery procedure. Test that procedure before relying on a long session; a test is not a guarantee against future interruptions.
- The stream is live but the audio or visual loop is wrong: Verify the selected source, audio levels and loop behavior in the encoder, and check the YouTube preview before making the event public.
- The long broadcast has no complete replay: A stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured. Use shorter scheduled sessions when automatic archives matter, and record locally when you need a reliable copy.
- A stream is cleared for copyright but monetization is denied: Review reused-content and originality requirements separately from music permissions. A licence alone does not establish that a program meets monetization policy.
Equipment and cost planning
An encoder-based setup needs a device that can run the chosen encoder, a stable internet connection, and enough local storage if you plan to record a backup. YouTube’s encoder guidance establishes the workflow, but it does not establish a minimum computer specification or a recommended computer model for this particular channel. The required capacity depends on your encoder, output settings, visual production and recording needs; test your intended setup rather than relying on an unsupported hardware minimum.
