To make two YouTube channels start their live broadcasts at different clock times, schedule a separate broadcast for each channel. If you mean that each already-running 24/7 feed should begin at a different point in its playlist, set that starting position in the encoder or hosted playout service—not in YouTube’s broadcast schedule. YouTube documents a scheduled broadcast start time, but the sources here do not establish a native playlist-offset control.
First, identify which “start time” you need
There are two different controls that can sound like playlist start times:
- Broadcast start: when a YouTube live broadcast is scheduled to begin. Set this separately for each channel in YouTube Studio.
- Playlist position or content timing: which video or point in a playlist plays when a continuous feed begins, or when a scheduled content block changes. Configure this in the playout system producing the feed.
YouTube’s LiveBroadcasts API reference defines scheduledStartTime as the date and time a broadcast is scheduled to start. It does not describe that field as a way to choose a position within a content playlist.
Schedule two YouTube broadcasts separately
Think of the channels as separate destinations, each with its own broadcast schedule and live stream resource. Google’s Understanding Broadcasts and Streams guide says to create a different stream for each channel and explains how broadcast resources are bound to a live stream resource. Do not assume that one channel’s stream resource or stream key configures the other channel.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Check eligibility on both channels. YouTube Help says live streaming requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. See Get started with live streaming.
- Open YouTube Studio for the first channel and create or select the live broadcast you intend to use. Choose that channel’s scheduled start time.
- Repeat for the second channel. Create or select its own broadcast and set its own scheduled start time. Keep the two channels’ broadcast and stream-resource configuration separate.
- Record the intended times with their time zones. The API field uses an ISO 8601 date-time. YouTube’s cited material establishes the field and format, but not a Studio time-zone workflow; make the intended zone explicit in your operating notes rather than assuming how a displayed time will be interpreted.
- Confirm each destination and start behavior. In the API documentation, a broadcast without a scheduled start time begins when the channel owner starts streaming. For a scheduled start, check the selected broadcast’s schedule and the playout or encoder configuration that will send its feed.
If the feeds should begin at different playlist positions
For two feeds that are already running continuously, changing the broadcast schedule is not the documented control for starting at a different video or offset. Set the initial item, playback position, or content-block schedule in the encoder or hosted playout service that generates each feed. Then verify that the service supports separate destination configurations and the specific playlist behavior you need; the vendor examples below do not establish that one configuration can set different initial playlist positions for two destinations.

OneStream Live describes a workflow for adding content, choosing a YouTube channel, entering stream details, and scheduling a 24-hour broadcast immediately or for later. Its help page states a maximum 24/7 duration of 30 days; that is OneStream’s stated limit, not a YouTube-wide rule. See its 24/7 streaming guide.

Troubleshoot a schedule that does not behave as expected
- The wrong channel starts: verify that each broadcast is configured for its intended channel and uses that channel’s own live stream resource.
- The broadcast starts at the expected time, but the wrong video plays: adjust the playlist or content schedule in the playout system; the YouTube broadcast schedule controls broadcast timing, not a documented playlist position.
- A channel cannot go live: check its verification status and whether it has a live-streaming restriction within the preceding 90 days.
- The recorded time is ambiguous: include the intended time zone in the operating notes and verify the broadcast schedule in the relevant channel’s Studio account.
- A hosted service cannot reproduce the two different starts: check its documented support for separate destinations, recurring content blocks, and initial playlist position. The cited vendor examples do not confirm all of those capabilities for this exact setup.
