The closest documented timed-start option is an Android Clock alarm that can use YouTube Music. First make separate, ordered morning and evening playlists; then check whether the exact playlist appears in your alarm’s YouTube Music sound picker and test it on your phone.
What you can—and cannot—schedule in YouTube
You can save devotional videos or tracks in playlists and play those playlists when you choose. The official YouTube and YouTube Music help pages cited here do not establish a built-in scheduler that starts an ordinary YouTube playlist at, for example, two recurring puja times every day. Android Clock’s YouTube Music alarm integration is a possible workaround, but availability of a particular playlist is not guaranteed on every device, account, app version, or in every region.
Autoplay is not a schedule: it selects another related video after the current one, rather than reliably following your chosen devotional order. YouTube says autoplay stops after 30 minutes of inactivity on mobile data and after four hours on Wi-Fi; settings may differ by device. See YouTube’s autoplay guidance.
Make separate morning and evening playlists
- Create the morning playlist. In the YouTube or YouTube Music app, open a devotional video or track, use the save or playlist option, and create a playlist named something clear, such as “Morning Puja.” Follow the app’s prompts to add more items. YouTube’s instructions cover creating and managing playlists on Android; YouTube Music explains making or editing a playlist.
- Create a separate evening playlist. Repeat the process and choose a distinct name, such as “Evening Aarti.” Keeping the two sequences separate makes it easier to select the intended playlist when setting an alarm or asking a speaker to play music.
- Arrange and check the order. Put the tracks or videos in the sequence you want, then open each playlist and confirm its contents. YouTube Music playlists appear in the library in both YouTube Music and YouTube apps. You can choose playlist privacy; a private playlist is visible only to its owner.
Try an Android Clock alarm with YouTube Music
Google documents YouTube Music as an alarm sound option in Android Clock. Its instructions also cover YouTube Music as a Bedtime sleep-sound option. To try an alarm, use the Clock app on your Android device:

- Add or edit an alarm for the morning puja time. Set the repeat days if you want it on a recurring schedule.
- Open the alarm’s sound picker and choose YouTube Music.
- Search for the intended playlist—for example, “Morning Puja”—and select it if it appears. Repeat with a separate alarm and the evening playlist if the picker offers it.
- Confirm the selected sound and test the alarm. Check that it starts the intended content on this phone and account before relying on it for daily use.
Google’s documentation describes the integration but does not promise that every playlist will appear in every region, account, app version, or device. If your playlist is missing from the picker, this setup may not be available to you as configured. Consult Google’s YouTube Music device guidance and verify the options on your own phone.
Use a Google Home or Nest speaker for hands-free playback
A Google Home or Nest speaker can play YouTube Music, but the linked account and service affect what it will play. Google says listeners without a premium service may receive a station inspired by the requested content; YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium supports on-demand specific songs, albums, and playlists. A speaker is optional and does not itself provide a recurring start-time schedule. If you use one, link the right account, ask it to play the named playlist, and test whether it plays that playlist on demand. Google’s smart-speaker music guidance explains the service behavior.

Why a queue is not a saved schedule
A queue is for the current listening or watch session, not a lasting schedule. On a computer, YouTube says the queue will not be saved after you close the browser and recommends saving videos to a playlist for later. The YouTube Help page says queueing on Android requires YouTube Premium. For a repeatable, ordered devotional selection, use saved playlists rather than relying on a temporary queue: queue videos on a computer and queue videos on Android.
