StreamShark’s Live Scheduler (also called VOD2Live or simulated live) lets eligible customers schedule uploaded video to play as a live broadcast, including to YouTube. The workflow is: prepare an active VoD in the matching Live Scheduler quality profile, create a schedule, add and sync the video, then let the schedule start automatically or use “Go Live Now.” Live Scheduler access is stated to require a subscription plan with a Dedicated Server attached; YouTube is a supported destination, but the exact current YouTube connection steps are not documented in the available official guides.
Check access and choose a schedule type
StreamShark says Live Scheduler is available to customers on subscription plans with a Dedicated Server attached. If your account does not show the feature, ask your StreamShark representative or account manager about access or a trial. Labels can vary as the portal interface is updated, so look for the closest current equivalent to the terms below. StreamShark’s Live Scheduler guide documents the workflow and eligibility.
Pick how the video should run
- One-off: Set a specific date, start time, and time zone for a single broadcast.
- Recurring: Choose dates or a date range and configure one or more start times. Multiple start times on the same day are supported.
- Continuous loop: Enable “Loop Content” for a 24/7 cycle. You can set a scheduled start or start manually; the loop continues until you stop it.
Decide whether to schedule a start or begin manually, whether the schedule should be public or privacy-protected, and whether HD or 4K is appropriate for your source. The source VoD’s encoding profile must match the schedule’s quality mode.
Prepare and upload the prerecorded video
Use the Live Scheduler profile
In the current V2 VoD flow, open Video on Demand and add the source. For a file under 5 GB, the guide describes uploading it from your computer; for a larger file, upload it to the file bucket first, then select it. Add the title, description, and tags, choose the Live Scheduler HD encoding profile, and submit. An existing VoD can be prepared by selecting the Live Scheduler HD profile in Settings and saving. The VoD must be in the “ACTIVE” state to use in a Live Schedule.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The guide recommends the Live Scheduler HD profile. If configuring encoding manually, it specifies MP4 with 360p, 480p, 720p, and 1080p qualities for HD. Its legacy 4K workflow specifies MP4 with 360p, 720p, 1080p, and 2160p. Check that the schedule’s quality mode and the VoD profile match; incompatible video cannot be added. Content encoded with the Live Scheduler profile is for the scheduler and cannot be accessed directly as ordinary VoD. See StreamShark’s guide for its current profile workflow.
Allow time for processing
Upload, encoding, and schedule synchronization take time. StreamShark recommends preparing the file well ahead of the planned broadcast, especially for large uploads. Do not wait until the scheduled start to discover that the VoD is still processing.

Create the Live Schedule
- Open “Live Scheduler” and choose “Add.”
- Enter a title, description, and tags; select the video player template and quality mode. Select an ingest if applicable.
- Choose the schedule type. For a one-off, set the date, start time, and time zone. For a recurring schedule, set the dates or date range, start times, and time zone. For a continuous loop, select “Loop Content” and optionally configure a scheduled start.
- Set privacy if you want the schedule protected, then save or create the schedule.
These are the labels used in StreamShark’s support guide; the portal may show updated wording.
Add the video and wait for sync
- Open the schedule and select “Add Videos.”
- Choose the prepared VoD. You can add videos more than once and reorder them by dragging.
- Select “Update Live Schedule” after changing the schedule’s contents.
- Wait while the schedule shows “Syncing Content.” It should then reach “Scheduled” or “Ready.” Confirm this state before the intended start time.
Send the scheduled broadcast to YouTube
StreamShark product information describes Live Scheduler as supporting multistreaming to destinations including YouTube, and its social-restreaming material also identifies YouTube as a destination. StreamShark’s VOD2Live page describes the product capability, while its social-restreaming guide discusses social destinations.

The available official material does not establish the current menu path for creating a YouTube target, authorization flow, or required YouTube-side ingest and event settings. Confirm those steps in your current StreamShark account or a destination-specific official guide rather than assuming the StreamShark Live Schedule itself creates or configures a YouTube event. A StreamShark changelog entry dated March 30, 2026 notes that Live Scheduler multistream targets were enabled, but does not supply setup instructions: StreamShark changelog.
Start, monitor, and stop the broadcast
Once the schedule is “Scheduled” or “Ready,” it can begin at its configured time. To start immediately, use “Go Live Now”; this can force a start even if a scheduled start exists. “Stop Broadcast” ends the broadcast. Without “Loop Content,” the schedule finishes when its videos have played; with looping enabled, it continues until manually stopped.

Common problems and fixes
- Live Scheduler is missing: Check whether the subscription has a Dedicated Server attached, then contact your StreamShark representative or account manager.
- The video does not appear as an option: Verify that the VoD is “ACTIVE” and encoded using the profile that matches the schedule’s quality mode.
- The schedule remains in “Syncing Content”: Allow more time for upload, encoding, and sync. Large files need more preparation time; confirm the source upload and profile are complete.
- The scheduled time is wrong: Recheck the schedule’s date, start time, and time zone, particularly for recurring schedules.
- The StreamShark schedule is ready but YouTube is not receiving it: Verify the YouTube destination and its current authorization or ingest configuration in StreamShark and YouTube. The cited guides confirm YouTube destination support but do not specify the current setup controls.
- The broadcast ends after the videos play: Enable “Loop Content” if the schedule should continue cycling until stopped.
Copyright and YouTube channel considerations
Scheduling prerecorded material as a live broadcast does not change who owns or may use the material. Before streaming, confirm you have the rights to the footage, music, narration, and other included material, and that the content complies with YouTube’s policies. A live presentation format is not a substitute for permission to use copyrighted work. Review each video and its audio before adding it to a recurring or looping schedule, since the same material may be broadcast repeatedly.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you want a simpler way to keep prerecorded video live on YouTube, StreamNeo is the cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos, not a camera feed. Nothing has to stay on at home; any quality up to 4K 60fps streams as uploaded at one price per slot; and it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. The Monthly price is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is YouTube-only. Learn more at StreamNeo, or start your free first day.
