To schedule morning and evening aarti inside a 24/7 YouTube stream, set up the continuous broadcast in YouTube Studio and configure your encoder or cloud playout system to insert the aarti recordings at the times you choose. YouTube handles the broadcast page and encoder connection; the recurring daily playlist or segment schedule belongs in the production system. Choose times that reflect your temple or channel’s practice and state the relevant time zone—there is no universal aarti timetable established by YouTube.
Choose how the aarti should appear
Put both aartis into the continuous feed
Use one continuous feed when viewers should find morning and evening aarti as recurring parts of the channel’s always-on programming. Configure the encoder or playout system to switch from the regular playlist to the appropriate aarti recording, then return to the regular playlist. YouTube’s encoder workflow supports continuous streams, but its documentation does not describe a daily segment scheduler; confirm that your chosen production system supports recurring playlists or scheduled media transitions.
Create separate scheduled broadcasts for the aartis
Separate YouTube broadcast pages may make sense when each aarti needs its own event listing, viewer reminders, or distinct archive. YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation gives the example of a 24/7 feed coexisting with a separate broadcast. In that setup, keep the continuous feed and its aarti segments distinct from the scheduled event pages; do not assume a scheduled broadcast will automatically insert a segment into another live feed.
Set aarti times and time zone
Choose the schedule according to the temple, tradition, and audience your channel represents. There is no universal morning or evening clock time established by the cited YouTube materials. Label the schedule with its time zone—for example, “Morning aarti, 6:00 a.m. IST”—and make clear that it is your channel’s schedule. If viewers are in several regions, consider showing the time zone on the channel’s schedule or event description rather than expecting them to infer it.

Before relying on unattended playback, verify how your production system handles its time zone, daylight-saving changes where applicable, restarts, and missed or overlapping segments. YouTube’s broadcast setup does not set or verify those production rules.
Schedule and start the YouTube broadcast
- Create or schedule the broadcast: In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create a new stream or schedule one. Review its title, description, visibility, and start-time details before sharing the event page.
- Connect the encoder: Copy the stream URL and stream key shown in YouTube’s setup and enter them in your encoder or playout system. Treat the stream key as a credential; do not publish it or include it in a video or public document.
- Set up the recurring aarti playlist: In the production system, configure the morning and evening recordings and their recurring times. Check that the system returns to the regular feed after each recording and that its clock uses the intended time zone. YouTube does not provide this segment-scheduling step in its encoder handoff.
- Start sending the stream: Start the encoder so it sends the feed to YouTube. In Live Control Room, wait for the stream preview and confirm that the image and sound are correct.
- Go live and verify: Click “Go live” in Live Control Room for the scheduled broadcast. Monitor the feed through the first morning and evening transitions; a correct YouTube preview does not by itself prove that future automated transitions are configured correctly.
YouTube describes an encoder as converting video into a digital format for streaming. It may be software or a standalone hardware device; dedicated hardware is optional. Choose between them based on the operator’s needs, and check the specific system’s documentation for recurring playlists, time-zone behavior, and recovery before depending on it for daily aarti transitions.

Plan continuity, archives, and monetization
Check what happens after interruptions
Find out whether the production system resumes the current item, skips to the next scheduled item, or needs an operator after an encoder restart or connection loss. Also check whether alerts or monitoring are available and what intervention is required. The YouTube encoder setup explains how to send a stream and start the broadcast, but does not prescribe aarti-specific automation or guarantee recovery behavior for your production system.
Handle long-running archives separately
YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That threshold does not establish that an indefinitely continuous 24/7 feed will be saved as one complete, unbroken video. Decide how you will preserve or share recordings of the aarti, and confirm current archive behavior for your intended stream length in YouTube’s live-stream help before relying on it.

Make ad decisions deliberately
YouTube’s Live Streaming API documents automatic and scheduled mid-roll cuepoints. Whether to enable or schedule ads is a channel and editorial choice; the API documentation does not establish what is appropriate for devotional programming or promise a particular revenue outcome.
