To schedule Hindi and English lessons for a 24/7 YouTube education stream, first decide whether you need individual lesson events or one repeating, always-on feed. In YouTube Studio, schedule each event, connect an encoder with the stream URL and key, check the preview, then start the broadcast. For a continuous feed, plan language handoffs, captions, rights, and archives before launch: YouTube currently supports only one live caption track per stream entry point, and streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all.
Choose the format: scheduled lessons or one continuous feed
The right structure depends on whether teachers will present live at set times or learners should be able to enter a persistent stream of pre-recorded or continuously encoded lessons. YouTube’s documented API pattern can support multiple scheduled broadcasts bound to one live stream resource, with only one broadcast event live at a time.

Prepare the channel and timetable
Confirm live-stream eligibility
YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to enable live streaming. YouTube lists mobile, webcam, encoder, and console options; the encoder workflow below is appropriate for a programmed lesson feed. Check YouTube’s live-streaming setup requirements if the option is unavailable.

Choose hours for the audience
Decide whether the primary audience is in India, the Indian diaspora, or spread across several regions. Publish the timetable in UTC and include relevant local time-zone labels so learners can translate it reliably. There is no evidence-based universal best hour for Hindi or English lessons; use your channel analytics and viewer feedback to choose the rotation.
Make language transitions obvious
Set repeating Hindi and English blocks at predictable intervals. At each transition, use a title card that identifies the language, lesson topic, level, and next block’s start time. This is a programming choice, not a YouTube requirement, but it helps learners who arrive mid-stream orient themselves.

Schedule and start a lesson in YouTube Studio
- Open the scheduling page: in YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule Stream.
- Set up the event: reuse prior settings or create a new stream, then enter the lesson’s metadata and visibility. Give each language-specific lesson an unambiguous title and description.
- Share the upcoming page: the scheduled event creates a page viewers can share and lets them set a reminder.
- Connect the encoder: copy the stream URL and stream key from YouTube into the encoder’s corresponding fields. Treat the key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to the stream.
- Check the preview: wait for the encoder signal to appear in Live Control Room. Confirm the correct lesson, language, and audio are coming through before going live.
- Start the event: start the broadcast in Live Control Room. For recurring classes, schedule each event and plan who will handle the transition rather than assuming one event automatically creates the next.

Build a 24/7 rotation and decide how to handle captions
For a single continuing feed, write down the playlist order, block lengths, handoff procedure, and who checks the feed. With API-based scheduling, the documented approach binds multiple scheduled broadcasts to one live stream resource; the API documentation specifies that only one scheduled broadcast is live at a time. A continuous program still needs an operational plan for transitions, encoder failures, and preserving recordings.

Captions need special care in a bilingual program. YouTube’s current live-caption guidance says that although the 608/708 standard supports up to four language tracks, YouTube currently supports only one caption track per stream entry point. A single feed therefore should not be advertised as offering simultaneous Hindi and English live caption tracks unless the actual workflow has been verified. Evaluate alternating the caption language by segment or running language-specific events or feeds, and test the viewer experience before launch; YouTube’s cited guidance does not establish that those approaches provide equivalent simultaneous access. Captions must be sent to YouTube, either embedded or through a supported delivery workflow. See YouTube’s live caption requirements.
Keep archives, rights, and continuity in the plan
Protect recordings you want to keep
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns that a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If a complete archive matters, keep each archive-worthy broadcast under 12 hours and maintain a local recording backup. A nonstop schedule may need to be divided into shorter broadcasts to meet that requirement; account for the handoff and learner experience when designing those boundaries. Use material cleared for live and archived use
The channel is responsible for having the rights needed to stream lesson recordings and any music, images, or other third-party material, including rights for the resulting archive. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. An unresolved match can lead to a temporary placeholder, interruption, or termination; a rights holder may need to allowlist the channel in Content ID. Review YouTube’s Terms of Service and clear material before it enters the rotation.

Troubleshoot common problems
- You cannot schedule or start a live stream: check that the channel is verified and has not had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, as required by YouTube’s setup guidance.
- The Live Control Room preview does not appear: confirm the encoder is sending to the correct stream URL and that the matching stream key is entered. Treat the key as a credential and correct any accidental mismatch before starting the event.
- Learners cannot select both caption languages: YouTube currently supports one live caption track per stream entry point. Choose and test a caption plan that fits the event structure rather than promising two simultaneous tracks on a single entry point.
- A long program has no complete archive: YouTube warns that streams over 12 hours may not be captured. For archive-worthy material, divide the program into broadcasts under 12 hours and keep a local recording backup.
- The stream is interrupted or replaced by a placeholder: check the lesson video and audio for third-party matches, and confirm the channel has the required live and archive rights. If licensed content is being matched, ask the rights holder about allowlisting the channel in Content ID.
