Yes: run both channel workflows from one server, but keep their YouTube streams, broadcast events, credentials, and media rotations separate. Use YouTube’s Live Streaming API to schedule each channel’s broadcast and bind it to that channel’s stream; use a server-side player or scheduler to choose which local playlist is playing. YouTube’s API handles broadcast events and stream bindings, not local playlist-file rotation.
Understand what is being scheduled
A liveBroadcast is the scheduled event viewers see on YouTube. A liveStream represents the audio-video feed your server sends to YouTube. Each broadcast must be associated with a stream, and the two-channel setup needs a different stream for each channel. YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation explains these resource relationships.
Playlist rotation is a separate job: your server-side media player, encoder, or scheduler selects and plays the files. Coordinate that schedule with each channel’s YouTube broadcast calendar, and route each output to the correct channel’s stream.
Set up two independent channel workflows
- Authorize each channel separately. Create or select a
liveStreamfor each channel using that channel’s authorized account. Keep stream IDs and credentials distinct; do not reuse one channel’s credentials as the other’s. - Configure each server-side rotation. In your media player or scheduling workflow, define the files and playback times for Channel A and Channel B independently. Set each encoder or output to use the matching channel’s stream settings. The YouTube API does not configure this local playlist rotation.
- Create a broadcast event for each channel. Use
liveBroadcasts.insertwith the event’s title, scheduled start time, and privacy status. Create the event under the intended channel’s authorized account. See the insert method reference. - Bind each event to its channel’s stream. Call
liveBroadcasts.bindto associate the broadcast with the correct stream. A broadcast binds to one stream; a stream can be bound to multiple broadcasts. See the bind method reference. - Manage the broadcast lifecycle and test. Use the documented broadcast-state and lifecycle processes for setup, testing, going live, and ending an event. Validate both channels end to end before relying on the schedules. The YouTube broadcast lifecycle guide describes the stages.
Choose stream reuse based on the schedule
For recurring broadcasts on the same channel, YouTube documents reusing a stream when the events use the same streaming settings. If separate broadcasts may run simultaneously and need different settings, distinct streams are an option. For two channels, keep at least one separate stream per channel regardless of whether the programs are simultaneous.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
One server can operate both workflows, but it must be able to play, encode, and transmit the actual feeds at the same time if their schedules overlap. YouTube’s cited documentation does not specify server hardware requirements for this arrangement; capacity depends on the media and the encoder configuration you choose.
Keep the two calendars in sync
- Maintain a playlist rotation schedule for each channel in your server-side player or scheduler.
- Maintain a corresponding YouTube broadcast event schedule for each channel.
- Check that each rotation starts with the intended program when its broadcast is scheduled to begin.
- Review overlaps, restarts, and stream interruptions in the server workflow; choose tools that support independent schedules, separate stream outputs, useful logs or alerts, and recovery after interruption.
These are operational checks for coordinating the two systems, not features provided by the YouTube broadcast-scheduling API.

Do not confuse scheduling with Live Redirect
YouTube Live Redirect can send viewers from one channel’s event to another channel’s livestream, but it is not a playlist scheduler and does not replace separate channel stream configurations. The destination channel must grant permission in YouTube Studio. See YouTube’s Live Redirect guidance.
Avoid deprecated default resources
Do not build a new API workflow around default broadcasts and streams. Google’s migration guidance says these were deprecated effective September 1, 2020; API clients should create event-specific broadcasts and streams, then bind them. See the migration guide.

Troubleshoot common failures
- The wrong channel receives a playlist: verify the authorized channel, stream ID, stream credentials, and encoder output for each workflow. Keep the two configurations separate.
- The event is scheduled but no video arrives: check that the broadcast is bound to the intended stream and that the server-side player is sending its feed to that stream.
- The wrong program plays at the scheduled time: inspect the local rotation schedule and its start time; YouTube’s event schedule does not select local files.
- Overlapping broadcasts fail or interfere: confirm that the server can run the required simultaneous feeds and that each output uses the appropriate stream settings. YouTube’s documentation does not establish a hardware specification.
- An old integration cannot find a default event or stream: update it to create event-specific broadcasts and streams and bind them, following Google’s migration guidance.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a single YouTube channel’s always-on uploaded-video stream, StreamNeo is the cloud option to consider: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops uploaded videos while your computer is off; it does not stream from a camera. StreamNeo is designed for YouTube, and the information available here does not establish that it manages two channels or their separate rotations in one account, so do not treat it as a replacement for the two-channel setup above.
