Yes. One VPS can run two independent YouTube playlist schedules: keep separate Hindi and Tamil media lists, run a separate encoder job for each, and send each job to the correct channel’s own stream configuration and scheduled broadcast. The VPS is shared; the playlists, credentials, schedules, and recovery controls should not be.
How the two-channel setup works
Think of the VPS as one host running two distinct jobs. Each job reads its own playlist and sends video to its own YouTube channel. Google’s Live Streaming API documentation models the destination stream and scheduled broadcast as channel-specific resources: create a different liveStream for each channel, and associate each liveBroadcast with its channel. A practical layout might look like this:
Hindi job: playlist_hindi.txt → FFmpeg → Hindi channel ingest URL and stream key
Tamil job: playlist_tamil.txt → FFmpeg → Tamil channel ingest URL and stream keyKeep separate working directories, service definitions, secret files, logs, schedules, and restart policies. That isolation is an engineering recommendation—not a measured VPS sizing guarantee—but it helps prevent a playlist edit, credential change, or process failure in one job from silently affecting the other.
Choose how to schedule broadcasts

Schedule each channel in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio for the Hindi channel and create or select its scheduled live broadcast in Live Control Room.
- Use that channel’s stream server URL and stream key in the Hindi VPS job. Do not reuse the Tamil channel’s key.
- Repeat the process while signed in to the Tamil channel, selecting its broadcast and configuring its own endpoint and key.
- Check the current broadcast’s auto-start and auto-stop settings in Studio. Sending encoder output does not by itself guarantee that a scheduled broadcast will publish automatically; follow the current interface’s preview and Go live workflow when required.
- When ending a stream, follow the Live Control Room workflow and stop the encoder output as appropriate for the broadcast’s settings.

Schedule with the YouTube API
- Authorize API access in the context of the owner of the Hindi channel; create a
liveStreamresource for that channel. - Create the Hindi channel’s
liveBroadcastresources and bind the relevant broadcast to its stream resource. Store the channel’s authorization and resource IDs separately from the Tamil job. - Repeat for the Tamil channel, using its own authorization context and stream resource.
- Configure each job to use the intended broadcast at its scheduled start. The exact state transitions depend on whether the broadcast uses automatic start or requires an operator action.
The API supports reusing a channel’s stream resource for that channel’s scheduled broadcasts when encoder settings remain the same; that does not make the resource interchangeable across channels. Review Google’s liveStreams documentation, liveBroadcasts documentation, and API authorization guidance.
Keep the Hindi and Tamil playlists independent
Use a separate list and media directory for each channel
Maintain distinct playlist files, for example playlist_hindi.txt and playlist_tamil.txt, and keep each list’s media in its own directory. This makes it easier to review the language and order of every item before a scheduled run and reduces the chance of cross-posting.

Check media compatibility before scheduling
FFmpeg’s concat demuxer reads a file list sequentially as one virtual input. The files need compatible streams, codecs, and time bases; inaccurate duration information can lead to timestamp gaps or playback artifacts. Inspect and, where needed, normalize clips before putting them into a recurring playlist. Separate secrets and logs
Store each stream key and any API credentials in a channel-specific secret file with restricted access, rather than embedding them in a script checked into source control. Use separate logs and working directories so a failure or diagnostic from one channel can be handled without exposing the other channel’s credentials. Never include stream keys in public logs, screenshots, or support messages.

Plan capacity for two simultaneous jobs
A single VPS is a hosting design, not a guarantee that any particular server plan will handle both streams. The available evidence does not establish minimum CPU, memory, bandwidth, disk, or provider plan requirements. Capacity depends on the actual number of simultaneous encodes, each stream’s codec, resolution and bitrate, and whether media is stored locally. If both jobs encode at once, account for both workloads; if they only package compatible pre-encoded media, verify that workflow’s actual resource use before committing to a schedule.
Use separate service instances or equivalent process supervision for the two jobs. Set independent restart behavior, and decide what should happen after a missed start: retry, alert an operator, or wait for the next scheduled broadcast. A restart policy cannot fix a wrong stream key, an incompatible media file, or a broadcast that still needs a manual Go live action.

Test before relying on the schedule
- Run each channel job independently with its own playlist, destination, and credentials.
- Use a private or unlisted test broadcast where appropriate, and confirm that the correct language playlist reaches the correct channel.
- Check the preview and audio/video behavior in Live Control Room, including transitions between files and the end-of-list behavior.
- Stop and restart each job deliberately. Confirm its logs identify the right channel and that one job’s restart does not stop or overwrite the other.
- Verify the broadcast’s start/stop behavior and the schedule in YouTube Studio or through the API path you chose.
Keep channel metadata and content appropriate to each audience. The channel-specific stream-resource model does not establish a mandatory Hindi or Tamil language field as a prerequisite for separate schedules.
Troubleshoot common failures
- The wrong channel receives a playlist: check the job’s key, ingest URL, broadcast selection, and secret-file path. Keep the Hindi and Tamil configuration files visibly distinct.
- The encoder connects but viewers cannot see a live broadcast: check the broadcast’s Studio auto-start settings and whether the current workflow requires preview confirmation or Go live. Encoder output and broadcast publication are separate operational steps in some configurations.
- A playlist stutters or breaks at a file boundary: inspect the input files for mismatched codecs, stream layouts, or time bases, and check duration information in the concat list. Normalize incompatible files and retest.
- One stream stops when the other restarts: inspect the service definitions, process names, shared working directories, and restart commands. Give each channel job independent supervision and logs.
- A job repeatedly fails authentication: verify that the stream key belongs to the intended channel and has not been changed, and, for API scheduling, confirm authorization is for the channel owner and that the stored resource IDs belong to that channel.
- The VPS becomes unstable during concurrent streaming: check actual CPU, memory, network, and disk pressure while both jobs run. Reduce the encoding workload or move to capacity appropriate for the real concurrent load; no universal VPS size is established here.
