To loop a prerecorded video on YouTube Live over Airtel broadband, run it through an encoder such as OBS Studio: enable looping on the video source, connect OBS to the stream URL and key from YouTube Studio, then start the broadcast. Your usable upload speed—not the download speed in your Airtel plan name—sets the practical limit on stream quality. Test the actual connection and stream before relying on it for a long broadcast.

Before you start: check channel access and the Airtel connection

Make sure the channel can go live

YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Its getting-started guidance also says a person must be at least 16 to live stream. If this is the channel’s first live stream, enable live streaming in advance; initial activation can take time, so do not wait until the scheduled start.

Measure upload speed where OBS will run

Run an upload-speed test on the same computer and network you plan to use. YouTube recommends leaving 20% upload headroom: the total stream bitrate must fit within the available upload bandwidth, with room for variation and other household traffic. Download speed does not tell you whether the connection can sustain an upload.

There is no single Airtel plan name or advertised speed that establishes the upload rate available at your address. Location, plan, connection conditions, Wi-Fi and other devices all matter. If convenient, connect the computer to the router by Ethernet to reduce reliance on Wi-Fi; it is optional, not a guarantee of uptime. Test the stream either way.

Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Check the terms for your exact Airtel plan

Airtel’s Xstream Fiber terms and conditions state a 3333 GB fair-usage threshold per billing cycle, after which speed may be reduced to up to 2 Mbps. The terms do not establish that this applies identically to every plan or connection, and Airtel reserves the right to amend its FUP. Check the current terms applicable to your plan and location rather than treating “unlimited” as meaning there are no conditions.

Set up the video loop in OBS

Loop a single recording

  1. Create a scene: Open OBS Studio and create or select a scene for the broadcast.
  2. Add the recording: In the Sources panel, select + → Media Source. Name the source, choose the local video file, and enable Loop in its properties.
  3. Check the picture and sound: Fit the source to the canvas and inspect the preview. Play through the start and end of the file to confirm the loop restarts as intended. Review the source’s audio settings if the file has no audio or its audio should not repeat.

Loop a playlist

For multiple recordings, add OBS’s VLC Video source and select the playlist files. Enable Loop Playlist so playback restarts after the playlist ends. Check the order, transitions between files and audio in the preview before going live. OBS documents both source options in its Media Sources guide.

Connect OBS to YouTube Live

  1. In YouTube Studio, open Create → Go live. In Live Control Room, use the Stream tab to create or schedule an encoder stream.
  2. Copy the stream’s server URL and stream key into OBS’s streaming settings. Use YouTube’s RTMPS server option when supported by the encoder; RTMPS encrypts the connection to YouTube.
  3. Treat the stream key like a password. Do not show it in a screen recording or publish it. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio before broadcasting.
  4. Set OBS’s output resolution, frame rate and bitrate for the intended stream and the measured upload capacity. Consult YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate guidance; do not select the highest quality by default. Keep the total bitrate within available upload bandwidth and leave the recommended 20% margin.
  5. Start streaming in OBS. Wait for the YouTube preview, then check that the video is moving, the audio is right and Live Control Room reports healthy stream status. When the preview is ready, select Go live in Live Control Room if the workflow requires it.

Test and monitor the broadcast

Before a scheduled or extended stream, run a private or unlisted test with the same computer, Airtel connection, scene and settings. Watch the preview for buffering, dropped frames, frozen playback, unexpected silence, clipped audio or a visible gap when the file loops. YouTube’s Streaming tips recommend testing realistically and monitoring stream health and audio/video quality during the broadcast.

For the live session, keep OBS and the computer running, prevent sleep or shutdown, and keep the broadband connection stable. Other devices using the connection can reduce the upload bandwidth available to OBS. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; its guidance does not establish that a broadcast lasting longer will be archived as one recording. If a local copy matters, plan to keep one independently.

Troubleshoot common problems

Symptom Likely cause What to check
YouTube receives no signal OBS is not sending, or the server URL or stream key does not match the selected YouTube stream. Confirm OBS is streaming, compare the URL and key with the stream in YouTube Studio, and check that the stream key has not been replaced.
Buffering or unhealthy stream status Available upload bandwidth is below the stream’s total bitrate, or competing traffic is using the connection. Retest upload speed, reduce OBS bitrate or resolution, pause heavy household uploads, and leave YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom.
The video stops at the end The source’s loop option is off, or the wrong source type was used. For one file, check Loop in Media Source properties. For a playlist, check Loop Playlist on the VLC Video source.
Picture appears but audio is missing or wrong The source has no audio, its audio settings are unsuitable, or the scene’s audio mix is incorrect. Check the file’s sound, the source’s audio settings and OBS audio meters; listen to the YouTube preview before going live.
The connection becomes unreliable during a long broadcast Upload capacity may vary, Wi-Fi may be unstable, other devices may be consuming bandwidth, or plan-specific conditions may apply. Monitor YouTube stream health, test with fewer competing devices, consider a wired connection, and verify the current Airtel terms for your plan.
