To stream a bhajan, satsang, aarti, or devotional talk from an Android phone with Larix Broadcaster, enable live streaming on your YouTube channel, create an encoder stream in YouTube Live Control Room, enter its stream URL and key in Larix, then rehearse and start the broadcast. Use YouTube’s RTMPS address when available, choose settings your phone and upload connection can sustain, and confirm you have rights to both the music composition and any recording you use.
Before you begin: prepare your channel and event
- Check live-stream access. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and ensure live streaming is enabled. First-time enablement can take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.
- Create or schedule an encoder stream. In Live Control Room, set up the event and locate its stream URL and stream key. The exact controls can vary with the event setup; use the values displayed for your own stream.
- Protect the key. YouTube treats a stream key like a password. Do not share it, include it in a screenshot, or publish it in a tutorial. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube’s stream settings.
Larix is acting as an encoder that sends your phone’s camera and audio to YouTube. This is separate from starting a broadcast directly in the YouTube mobile app. The mobile-app route has its own eligibility requirements, including subscriber and device requirements; do not assume those app-specific requirements describe the encoder workflow. For Larix, follow the encoder setup and live-stream enablement shown in YouTube Studio.
Connect Larix Broadcaster to YouTube
- Copy the live destination. In Live Control Room, copy the stream URL and stream key for the event you created.
- Prefer the secure URL. In the stream settings, reveal the RTMPS URL if YouTube provides it for your stream. RTMPS encrypts the RTMP connection using TLS/SSL, and YouTube recommends it. Larix for Android documents RTMPS support through SSL. See YouTube’s RTMPS instructions and Larix Broadcaster for Android.
- Add a connection in Larix. Open Larix’s connection settings, create a connection, and enter the destination details. Larix documentation explains that its Connection URL can combine the server URL with the stream name or key. Follow the fields and format appropriate to your Larix version; use YouTube’s current event values, not an example URL or key. See Softvelum’s Larix documentation reference.
- Save and verify the connection. Check the protocol, URL, and key character by character. Never troubleshoot by posting the full destination publicly.
If Larix cannot connect, first check that you copied the correct URL for this event, used RTMPS only with the secure destination, and entered the stream key without extra spaces. If you use RTMPS and connection still fails, test the values shown in Live Control Room rather than substituting a sample address.
Choose video, bitrate, and audio settings
The right setting is the highest quality that your Android device can encode reliably while your upload connection sustains the entire stream. YouTube’s recommendations below are platform guidance, not a guarantee that a particular phone or network can maintain them.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
| Setting | Practical starting point | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Ingestion | RTMPS when supported by your Larix connection and the URL provided in Live Control Room | It encrypts the connection. YouTube also supports RTMP ingestion; use the destination associated with your event. |
| Video codec | H.264 for a conventional SDR broadcast | YouTube’s encoder guidance lists H.264 as a broadly supported choice, and Larix for Android documents H.264 video support. |
| Bitrate mode | CBR | YouTube’s general encoder guidance recommends constant bitrate encoding. |
| Resolution and frame rate | 720p at 30 fps is a reasonable first test if your phone supports it reliably | YouTube gives 2–6 Mbps as its recommended video bitrate range for 720p at 30 fps. The actual sustainable choice depends on the phone, scene, and network. |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds | YouTube recommends a two-second interval and says it should not exceed four seconds. |
| Audio | AAC, stereo at 44.1 kHz where available | YouTube lists AAC or MP3 audio and recommends 44.1 kHz for stereo AAC. Larix for Android documents AAC support. |
These codec, bitrate, and keyframe recommendations are from YouTube’s live encoder settings guidance; its accessed page does not display a publication year for the recommendations.
Fit the stream to your upload connection
- Run an upload speed test from the place where you will broadcast, preferably on the same connection and at a similar time of day.
- Keep the total stream bitrate within the available upload capacity and leave room for variation. YouTube recommends 20% upload-bandwidth headroom in its streaming tips.
- Rehearse at the intended resolution and bitrate. If the upload varies, lower the bitrate or resolution and test again rather than relying on a peak speed result.
Make devotional audio clear
For singing and spoken prayer, test the actual singer, instruments, microphone distance, and room sound. The phone’s built-in microphone is simplest, but an external USB audio device may be an option: Larix documents external USB audio support. Compatibility depends on the Android device and connection, so verify the equipment works with your phone and rehearse before the event. No particular microphone is established as a universal best choice.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Rehearse, start, and end the broadcast
- Run a realistic test. Use audio and movement similar to the real service. YouTube’s encoder guidance says to test before starting a live stream.
- Start Larix early. Begin sending the feed before the scheduled start so you can inspect YouTube’s incoming preview and stream-health indicators in Live Control Room.
- Check the viewer experience. Listen for intelligible singing or speech, check the framing and audio level, and confirm there is no current stream-health issue. YouTube recommends checking that the event is accessible on channel or watch pages and on mobile devices.
- Go live. Once the preview is ready, use the event controls in Live Control Room to go live if your event configuration requires that separate action.
- Monitor the service. Watch stream health and listen for changes in sound or connection quality while the broadcast runs.
- End deliberately. Stop the encoder and end the event in YouTube Studio when prompted. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; check the event’s archive and replay settings rather than assuming a particular replay outcome.
See YouTube’s encoder workflow and streaming tips for the relevant setup and monitoring guidance.
Choose latency and replay settings for the service
YouTube defines latency as the delay between capture and playback. Lower latency can increase buffering, so choose based on how the broadcast will be used. For a service with live prayer requests or chat-led participation, compare the latency choices in Live Control Room and test them on the actual network. For uninterrupted devotional music or discourse, prioritize stable playback over the shortest possible delay. YouTube does not prescribe one best latency for devotional streams.

Clear music rights before you broadcast
Identify the composition and the particular sound recording separately. Before using a commercial recording, backing track, or another performer’s recording, confirm that you have the necessary permissions for both the live stream and any archived replay. Devotional subject matter or traditional lyrics do not, by themselves, establish that a modern arrangement or recording is free to use. Rights vary by specific work and recording; ask the relevant rights holder or a qualified adviser about the material you plan to use. Do not promise that a stream will avoid a copyright claim or interruption.

Or let it run in the cloud
If the goal is a continuous YouTube channel rather than a live phone-camera service, StreamNeo is a different approach: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, not a live camera feed. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Each slot streams the uploaded file as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot with no re-encode or quality tiers; it also includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Start your free StreamNeo day.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does YouTube’s 50-subscriber mobile-live requirement apply to Larix?
