You can run a continuous Telugu nursery-rhyme broadcast by looping a rights-cleared video with FFmpeg and sending it to YouTube Live Control Room through an encoder stream. A loop does not guarantee an uninterrupted broadcast: your computer, network, FFmpeg process, media files, and YouTube stream still need monitoring and a recovery plan. If you need a YouTube archive, plan separately—streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured.
Plan the program before configuring FFmpeg
Decide whether the goal is a continuously available live destination, a collection of archived episodes, or both. A single 24/7 broadcast suits the first goal, but YouTube says streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured as archives. For dependable VODs, keep a separate local recording or schedule shorter sessions.
Build a catalog inventory before assembling the playlist. For every composition, arrangement, recording, voice performance, illustration, animation, and other element, document the permission or other rights basis for using it in a live stream and retaining any recording. A familiar rhyme, traditional melody, or online copy does not by itself establish that a particular recording or arrangement is free to use. YouTube copyright rules and its reused-content monetization policy are separate; permission to use material alone does not guarantee monetization eligibility.
Give the program meaningful creative or educational value: for example, original performances or arrangements, distinctive animation, Telugu language-learning cues, varied scenes, or a coherent theme. Avoid a channel made up of other creators’ videos with superficial changes or interchangeable template episodes. YouTube’s monetization review can consider the channel theme, newest and most-viewed videos, the largest share of watch time, metadata, and the About section. Its July 15, 2025 policy update renamed “repetitious content” as “inauthentic content” and clarified that repetitive or mass-produced content falls within that policy.

Check channel eligibility and create the live stream
- Verify eligibility. YouTube requires a verified channel, no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days, and that the creator meets the platform’s age requirement. Check YouTube Help’s live-streaming eligibility guidance for the current rules and any account-specific restrictions.
- Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. Create a live stream and choose encoder streaming. Set the title, description, thumbnail, visibility, and the correct audience designation before launch.
- Copy the stream key and ingest details. Keep the stream key private. Do not include it in public scripts, screenshots, shared logs, or troubleshooting posts. Use the RTMPS ingest URL and key shown for your stream in Live Control Room.
- Review the preview before going public. Confirm that the incoming video and audio are correct and that the stream status and audience setting match your plan.
YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation includes a 24/7 broadcast example. That establishes continuous broadcasting as a supported use case; it does not certify a particular FFmpeg command, computer, network connection, or hosting setup as reliable.
Choose and test the media format
The simplest input is one finished program file that already contains the sequence you want to repeat. A playlist of separate files can also work, but transitions, stream compatibility, and whether the files can be copied without transcoding depend on how they were made. Test the exact source files and FFmpeg build you plan to use before scheduling a long broadcast.

- Check that every expected file exists and plays through to the end.
- Listen at the start and end of the loop for abrupt cuts, silence, clicks, or audio drift.
- Watch loop points for frozen frames or unwanted black gaps.
- Check that the source aspect ratio, frame rate, resolution, and audio are suitable for the output you intend to send.
- If stream-copying compatible media to reduce local CPU use, test the result and loop behavior. If formats differ or the output needs adjustment, transcode and monitor CPU load instead.
Use FFmpeg to loop and send the program
FFmpeg’s -stream_loop -1 option repeats an input indefinitely. This illustrative command loops one local file, transcodes to H.264 at 1080p30, encodes AAC audio, and sends an RTMPS output. Replace the destination with the RTMPS ingest URL and stream key displayed in YouTube Live Control Room. Treat the key as a password.

YouTube’s current encoder guidance recommends keyframes every two seconds and says the interval must not exceed four seconds. Its H.264 recommendation is 5 Mbps for 1080p30; for comparison, the listed H.264 recommendation for 720p30 is 3 Mbps. These are platform recommendations, not a guarantee that a particular connection can sustain the stream. Leave headroom above the selected video bitrate for audio and network overhead.

The AAC bitrate, sample rate, x264 preset, and other command options above are illustrative choices, not a universal recipe or a benchmark. If the source is not 16:9, does not suit 1080p, or the uplink cannot sustain the output, adapt resolution, frame rate, and bitrate. YouTube lists H.264, HEVC, or AV1 video and AAC or MP3 audio for RTMP/RTMPS encoder streams; it also recommends constant bitrate (CBR). YouTube transcodes live streams for different playback resolutions.
Using a playlist of separate files
For a playlist, FFmpeg’s concat demuxer can read a file list, but the exact input and output options depend on the playlist and its media. One common starting shape for a concat-demuxer list is:

Do not assume that one command will safely join files with different codecs, dimensions, frame rates, or audio properties. FFmpeg’s command documentation describes its input, output, and codec options; the appropriate settings depend on the media being sent.

Launch, monitor, and plan recovery
- Start FFmpeg while the stream is still in YouTube’s preview state. Check Live Control Room’s preview and stream-health feedback before promoting the broadcast.
- Verify moving video, clean and synchronized audio, the intended title and visibility, and the correct audience setting. Confirm YouTube reports the stream as live.
- Keep FFmpeg’s output in a private log. Monitor the FFmpeg process, network connection, available disk space, and YouTube stream status. Avoid logging or exposing the stream key.
- Decide in advance how to detect a stopped process or dropped connection and who or what will restart it. Test recovery before relying on unattended operation; no loop option prevents network interruptions, process failures, invalid credentials, media faults, or platform restrictions.
FFmpeg looping handles repeated playback, not service supervision. A continuously available program needs monitoring and a restart plan appropriate to its host and connection. YouTube’s documentation confirms that a 24/7 broadcast is a possible format, not an uptime promise for your individual setup.
Decide how to preserve an archive
YouTube may automatically archive streams shorter than 12 hours, but says a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If you need a complete recording, use a separate local recording workflow and check storage capacity, or schedule shorter broadcasts with planned transitions. A local recording is an independent copy; it does not make YouTube archive a long stream.

Set the audience accurately for children’s programming
Nursery-rhyme programming intended for young children is a strong reason to carefully assess whether the stream is Made for Kids. The creator must make an accurate audience declaration regardless of location; do not rely on automated classification to make it for you. If the right designation is uncertain, consult YouTube’s audience guidance, the linked FTC guidance, or qualified counsel. YouTube says it may override audience settings, and inaccurate designation can have platform or legal consequences.
When a stream is designated Made for Kids, expect feature restrictions: live chat and comments are unavailable, as are notifications, memberships, Super Chat and Super Stickers; personalized advertising is not served. YouTube says contextual ads may still appear, and that the loss of personalized ads may reduce revenue for some creators. Do not build the program or business plan around live-chat prompts or those unavailable engagement features.
