To run a 24/7 Tamil “study with me” stream from recorded videos, create an encoder livestream in YouTube Studio and send it footage from a looping source in OBS—or upload the recordings to a cloud service that plays them continuously. With OBS, the computer, files, and internet connection must stay available for the stream to continue. Before going live, confirm you have rights to every clip and sound, test the preview, and plan around YouTube’s archive limit: broadcasts longer than 12 hours may not be captured.
1. Check YouTube livestream access before preparing the launch
Your channel must be verified, must not have had livestreaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and the streamer must be at least 16. YouTube says initial livestream activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before your planned start. Check the current eligibility and setup steps in YouTube’s livestreaming setup help and encoder livestream help.
2. Prepare the Tamil study recordings and audio
Choose the footage and sequence
Decide which recorded study sessions will play and in what order. A continuous stream can repeat one long session or rotate through several recordings; check how the transition from the last file back to the first will look and sound. If the footage includes breaks, make sure the loop will not create an abrupt or confusing transition.
Settle the sound before streaming
Choose whether viewers will hear room sound, music, or silence, and listen through the material for unexpected noise or long silent sections. Use only footage and audio for which you have the necessary rights. YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility for those rights on the creator, including music licensing rights; see YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions.

3. Create the livestream in YouTube Studio
-
Open YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room. Create a livestream or schedule one for your intended start time. YouTube’s encoder setup guide describes the encoder workflow.
-
Set the stream details and visibility for your channel. You can reuse stream settings when creating another broadcast; verify the current details in Studio before each launch.
-
Copy the stream URL and stream key from the stream settings, then enter them in OBS. Treat the key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to your channel. Do not post it in a video, chat, screenshot, or public document.
4. Loop the recordings in OBS Studio

-
Select the local video file, then enable Loop in the source properties. OBS will restart playback when the file ends. The control is documented on the OBS Media Sources page.

Connect OBS to YouTube with the stream URL and key from Live Control Room. Check that the scene preview shows the intended footage and that audio meters respond as expected.
Use a playlist for multiple recordings
For a sequence of files, OBS also provides a VLC Video source. Add the source, choose the files in the intended order, and confirm its playlist loop setting. VLC must be installed for this source to work; OBS notes that playlist looping is on by default. See the OBS source documentation.

5. Test the stream and keep it healthy
-
Start a test broadcast and check the YouTube preview before treating the stream as live. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring the encoder feed; follow its live stream monitoring guidance.
-
Open the watch page on your channel and check it on a phone as well as your computer. Confirm the picture, audio level, and playback are acceptable from a viewer’s perspective.
-
While OBS is running, monitor the source and stream status. For an ongoing local stream, the host computer, OBS, the media files, and a reliable network connection all need to remain available.
-
Keep a local recording or archive backup if you need a dependable replay file. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured. A single uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast is therefore not a dependable way to obtain one complete replay. See YouTube’s live stream archive guidance.

6. Plan for copyright and monetization rules
Live copyright matching can interrupt the broadcast
YouTube scans livestreams for third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you; if the matched material remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. Even if you licensed material, the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Resolve permissions before starting, and review YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
Monetization is not automatic
YouTube’s monetization policies apply to livestreams and address reused content as well as content it calls “inauthentic.” Whether a channel’s recordings meet those policies depends on the material and the channel’s review; repeating footage does not guarantee monetization. Read YouTube’s channel monetization policies before building a plan around revenue.
7. Choose a local computer or cloud hosting
| Approach | Where the video plays | What needs to stay available | What to weigh |
|---|---|---|---|
| OBS on a local computer | Your computer | The computer, OBS, media files, and network connection | Direct control of the encoder; the stream stops if the host or connection becomes unavailable. |
| Cloud streaming service | The provider’s cloud service | Your account and network access for setup; playback then runs through the service as described by its provider | Less dependence on a computer at home, in exchange for relying on the service. Check its current terms and price before signing up. |
YouTube’s encoder documentation lists Gyre as a cloud option for 24/7 prerecorded streams. Gyre describes uploading files, arranging a playlist, and scheduling a continuous stream on its service page; those are the provider’s descriptions, not independent performance findings.

8. Troubleshoot common problems
-
You cannot start a livestream: check channel verification, prior livestream restrictions, and whether first-time activation has completed. It can take up to 24 hours after activation is requested.
-
The YouTube preview is blank or the wrong video: confirm OBS is connected with the stream URL and key for the intended broadcast, the correct scene is selected, and the Media Source points to an available file.
-
The video stops when the recording ends: reopen the Media Source properties and confirm Loop is enabled. For a playlist, verify the files are present and that VLC is installed if you are using the VLC Video source.
-
There is no sound or the level is unexpectedly low: inspect the source’s audio meters in OBS and listen to the YouTube preview. Check the file itself and the OBS source or mixer settings before restarting the broadcast.
Recommended: Fix Windows Errors and Clear Junk Files in Minutes - Free Scan →Recommended: Crashes or Glitches? A Free Driver Scan Usually Finds the Culprit →Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy. -
The local stream ends unexpectedly: check that the computer did not sleep or shut down, OBS is still running, media files remain accessible, and the internet connection is available. A local encoder depends on each of these.
-
YouTube interrupts or replaces the live feed: investigate copyright matches and remove or resolve the flagged material. A license alone may not prevent a Content ID interruption if the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel.
-
No complete 24-hour replay appears: do not assume YouTube will archive a stream longer than 12 hours. For more controllable replay files, schedule shorter sessions and keep a local recording.
