What a 24/7 YouTube stream requires
A live stream is an encoder sending audio and video to YouTube Live. JioFiber supplies the internet connection; it does not itself keep a broadcast running. In a do-it-yourself setup, the encoder, router and their power supply must remain available, and someone needs a way to detect and recover from failures.
YouTube says first-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours. Enable it ahead of launch, then verify that the channel is eligible and has no live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
Prepare the meditation content and encoder
Clear rights before you stream
Use music and visuals you created or have permission to broadcast. If you want viewers to watch an archive afterward, make sure the license covers that use too. Calling a track “meditation,” “ambient” or “royalty-free” does not by itself establish YouTube broadcast or archive rights. YouTube’s live terms and conditions make the content provider responsible for obtaining necessary rights, and live content must comply with Community Guidelines.

Keep copies of licenses and written permissions. Check the terms for each element: music, ambient recordings, artwork, video footage, fonts or other material included in the scene.
Build and test a continuous feed
Use an encoder on a computer or suitable standalone hardware. Assemble the meditation scene and audio feed, select YouTube Live as the destination, and keep the stream key private like a password. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance explains the general workflow; it does not guarantee that any particular loop or source file will run indefinitely.

Test the actual sequence for a long run. Check transitions, sound levels, whether the video and audio loop as intended, and whether the source files continue playing without an operator. YouTube’s current general encoder guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1, recommends constant bitrate (CBR), and recommends a two-second keyframe interval that does not exceed four seconds. Confirm the compatible settings shown for your selected protocol and resolution in the encoder and YouTube Live Control Room before broadcasting.
Measure JioFiber upload and choose a bitrate
Upload capacity is the key connection constraint. YouTube recommends keeping 20% upload headroom above the stream bitrate and testing outbound speed rather than relying on the advertised plan speed. - Connect the encoder to the JioFiber router by Ethernet where practical. Pause avoidable downloads, uploads and cloud backups during your baseline test.
- Measure outbound speed at the encoder’s location repeatedly over time. A single speed-test peak is not evidence of sustained capacity.
- Choose a stream bitrate that leaves at least YouTube’s recommended 20% upload headroom based on the lower sustained results, not the best result.
- Repeat a realistic test with the household devices and activity that will normally share the connection. If stream health becomes unstable, reduce bitrate or resolution and test again.
- During an unlisted rehearsal, watch the Live Control Room’s stream health while the encoder sends the representative meditation feed.
Jio describes JioFiber prepaid plans as having symmetrical upload and download speeds. Its comparison page lists examples of 30/30, 100/100 and 150/150 Mbps plans, but address-level availability and current plan terms must be checked with Jio. Those figures do not establish the sustained upload available at your encoder or guarantee uptime. See JioFiber prepaid broadband plans.
Rehearse, monitor and plan recovery
- Schedule an unlisted test and inspect the preview before going live.
- Open the public watch page on another device to confirm that viewers can receive the stream and hear the audio as intended.
- Monitor stream health during a representative run. Test what happens if the encoder stops, the computer restarts or the network is interrupted, so the operator knows how to restore the feed.
- If you record locally, confirm that the recording is being created and that its file continues to grow during the run.
- Arrange a way to notice an outage and a realistic recovery plan. A single JioFiber connection and encoder do not, by themselves, provide automatic 24/7 uptime.
YouTube recommends testing encoder failover and checking local archive-file growth where local recording is used. Its guidance warns that a connectivity disruption can break a stream. For an event longer than 12 hours, verify current YouTube documentation on archive behavior before promising viewers a replay; the cited guidance does not settle what will happen to every such event.

Check Jio data use and plan terms
A continuous stream sends data upstream for as long as it runs, so estimate monthly use from the actual bitrate and operating hours. Jio describes home plans as offering unlimited high-speed data while reserving rights to discontinue service for misuse, fraudulent, unauthorized or commercial use. Jio’s prepaid terms identify consumption beyond 3,300 GB in a 30-day recharge cycle as misuse under the stated commercial-use policy. Check the current terms that apply to your account and ask Jio whether your planned continuous or commercial broadcast is permitted. See Jio’s JioFiber terms and conditions.
For a rough upload estimate, multiply the bitrate in megabits per second by the number of seconds streamed, then divide by eight to convert megabits to megabytes; allow for protocol overhead and other traffic. The resulting estimate is not a substitute for checking Jio’s applicable data and use terms.
