You can run a continuous Hindi-songs broadcast by sending a playlist from FFmpeg to YouTube Live, but the loop is only one part of the job: your channel needs live access, you need the necessary music rights, and you need a way to detect and recover from failures. YouTube’s official guidance does not prescribe a particular FFmpeg playlist command or restart setup, so treat the implementation as version- and media-dependent and test it before relying on it.
Before you build the stream: check live access and music rights
Enable YouTube Live ahead of time
Live streaming must be enabled for the channel. YouTube says first-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before the planned launch. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. For a scheduled-stream workflow, YouTube instructs you to wait until the encoder feed appears in preview, then click Go live. See YouTube Help’s Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder for the current platform flow.
Confirm that you can broadcast every song
A Hindi music stream needs rights for both the sound recordings and the underlying compositions. Buying a track or being allowed to listen to it does not, by itself, establish permission to broadcast it. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the provider to hold the required rights, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. If matched content remains, the platform may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it temporarily or terminate it. A license does not necessarily prevent a live interruption: YouTube notes that the rights owner may also need to allowlist your channel through Content ID. Before using third-party music, get permissions that cover the intended livestream, territories, recordings and compositions, and confirm allowlisting with the rights owner. The relevant guidance is in YouTube Help’s Copyright issues with live streams and Livestream terms and conditions.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Keep written records of licenses and permissions, including their territorial and format scope.
- Use your own or commissioned music only when your agreements cover the intended broadcast and any replay you plan to retain.
- Do not assume that a successful private test clears music rights; Content ID matching and rights-holder permissions remain separate concerns.
Set up YouTube’s ingest details securely
- Create or schedule the broadcast: in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, create or schedule the stream and open its encoder settings.
- Copy the ingest URL and stream key: use the values shown in Live Control Room. If you choose encrypted ingest, copy the RTMPS URL rather than assuming an ordinary RTMP address is encrypted.
- Keep the key private: it functions as an encoder credential. Do not publish it in a command example, screenshot, repository or log. If it is exposed, reset it in Live Control Room and update the encoder.
- Connect FFmpeg and check the preview: configure your FFmpeg output to use the selected YouTube ingest endpoint and key. For a scheduled event, wait for YouTube’s preview and then select Go live.
RTMPS is RTMP carried over TLS/SSL. Google’s RTMPS delivery guidance specifies port 443 and emphasizes using a valid YouTube endpoint and hostname for TLS/SNI. Use the actual RTMPS address supplied in Live Control Room; do not construct an endpoint by guesswork. See YouTube Help’s Encrypt your stream using RTMPS and Google for Developers’ Delivering Live YouTube Content via RTMPS.
Build the FFmpeg playlist workflow
The exact command depends on the files, your installed FFmpeg build, and whether you re-encode or stream-copy. The official YouTube encoder and RTMPS guidance explains platform setup and ingestion, but does not document a canonical FFmpeg playlist syntax, infinite-loop recipe, timestamp-handling approach or process supervisor. There is therefore no single tested command to copy here as a dependable 24/7 solution.

Prepare and inspect the media
- Organize the songs and any accompanying visuals in a deliberate playback order. Decide what the viewer should see when a track has no video, and check that every item has acceptable audio and video for the workflow you choose.
- Choose how FFmpeg will handle the inputs. Stream-copying avoids re-encoding but depends on compatible media formats and timestamps; re-encoding gives the workflow more control over output but requires appropriate encoding settings and enough processing capacity. Verify the implications against the installed FFmpeg documentation and the characteristics of your files.
- Check transitions and playlist boundaries. A playlist that works for its first item can still fail when the next file has different streams, timestamps or other properties.
Connect the playlist to YouTube
Configure the chosen FFmpeg workflow to read the playlist, produce the intended live output and send it to the exact ingest URL and stream key from Live Control Room. The command’s options and any playlist file syntax must be verified for your installed FFmpeg version and selected input method; do not copy an unverified command from a different workflow and assume it will loop cleanly.
Before a public launch, test with a private or unlisted stream. Confirm that the feed reaches YouTube, that audio and video are correct, and that playback advances through multiple playlist items and returns to the intended point. Check stream health in Live Control Room instead of treating a running FFmpeg process as proof that viewers are receiving a healthy broadcast.

Plan for process and connection failures
A loop setting alone does not make a stream unattended. The network can drop, FFmpeg can exit, the host can lose power, and YouTube can stop receiving the feed. The YouTube sources cited here do not prescribe an FFmpeg reconnect or process-restart supervisor recipe. Select and test a monitoring and recovery approach appropriate to your host: verify what happens after a connection interruption, how an exited process is detected, and how it is restarted without exposing the stream key in logs. If no one will be watching continuously, arrange a way for an operator to notice failures and act on them.
Test the full operating path before going public
- Use a private or unlisted test: verify the complete path from playlist to FFmpeg to YouTube preview without making the broadcast public.
- Check playlist boundaries: listen and watch across track changes, including the transition from the last item back to the start.
- Check stream health: confirm that YouTube receives usable audio and video, not merely that FFmpeg remains open.
- Exercise recovery: test a network interruption and an FFmpeg process exit. Confirm how the connection is restored and whether the process restarts as intended.
- Test local recording if you need an archive: verify that the files are actually created and playable; an outgoing YouTube feed does not prove that a local recording is healthy.
- Review rights before the public launch: a technical test does not replace permission for the music or Content ID allowlisting where required.
Plan for YouTube’s archive limit
Do not rely on YouTube to preserve the complete replay of a 24/7 broadcast. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. That guidance applies regardless of whether the encoder is FFmpeg on a local machine, a hosted server or another service. If keeping the full program matters, test a local recording or plan shorter separate broadcasts; separate events require their own restart and watch-page continuity planning. See YouTube Help’s Archive live streams.

Choose where FFmpeg runs
| Approach | What it means operationally | Trade-off to plan for |
|---|---|---|
| Local computer | FFmpeg runs on a machine at your location and depends on its power and internet connection. | You must account for local outages, process monitoring and recovery. |
| Hosted server | FFmpeg runs on hosted infrastructure rather than your home computer. | You still need to configure, monitor and recover the process; no particular host, price or reliability level is established here. |
| Managed cloud service | A vendor operates the continuous playback workflow, reducing hands-on server operation. | This introduces a vendor dependency. It does not grant music rights or remove YouTube’s archive limits. |
Whichever setup you choose, rights apply to the music rather than the machine doing the encoding. Likewise, the under-12-hour archive guidance does not change with the deployment method.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you would rather not keep an FFmpeg machine running, StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Its workflow is: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It plays uploaded video rather than broadcasting from a camera, and it is for YouTube streams.
