To play the 2026 U.S. McDonald’s Monopoly Game, register in the McDonald’s App with a MyMcDonald’s Rewards account, then scan or enter a code from a game piece. You can get a piece with select specially marked menu items or request one by mail; a purchase is not required and does not improve your odds. The promotion is open to eligible U.S. residents age 18 and older, and its main play period runs through November 1, 2026, while pieces last.
How to play McDonald’s Monopoly Game in 2026
- Check eligibility and set up the app. The 2026 U.S. game is open to residents of the 50 states and Washington, D.C., who are at least 18 on the day they participate, subject to the other requirements and exclusions in the 2026 Official Rules. You need the current McDonald’s App, an app account, MyMcDonald’s Rewards opt-in, and game registration.
- Get a game piece. You may receive one with a qualifying, specially marked item while supplies last, or use the no-purchase mail request route described below. Check the rules for eligible packaging and current terms.
- Peel and enter the code. Open the Monopoly area of the app and scan the piece or enter its unique code. The result may be an instant food or Rewards Points prize, a property piece, or a Chance Card Game play.
- Check the result and retain the piece. Food prizes are awarded through the app, not by presenting the game piece at a restaurant. Keep the original piece after entry: McDonald’s may require it for prize verification.
These instructions apply to the 2026 U.S. promotion, sponsored by McDonald’s USA, LLC—not the separate 2025 UK promotion or earlier U.S. editions.

Buying food does not improve your chance of winning. The 2026 Official Rules state: “No purchase is necessary to play or win a prize. A purchase will not improve chances of winning.”

Instant food and Rewards Points prizes
If a code awards a food deal, it is placed in the app’s Rewards & Deals section. Redemption is subject to participating-location availability, item availability, serving hours and other restrictions in the rules. Rewards Points prizes are also handled through the app.

Property pieces are tracked in “My Properties.” To become a potential Collect to Win winner, you must collect every property named in one listed Winning Combination in the same My Game Account, then satisfy verification requirements. The 2026 rules list nine combinations, including Mediterranean Avenue and Baltic Avenue, Park Place and Boardwalk, the four railroads, and Water Works with Electric Company. A single property is not a complete combination.

Chance Card Game plays
A Chance Card piece gives you a play in the app. You can use a stored play later, subject to the daily limit and the Chance Card end date. The rules say the outcome is time-seeded: the animation is for the experience and does not determine whether you win.

The official rules were current as of October 8, 2026, when the promotion was in progress. A “Day” for the limits below is measured in Eastern Time.

McDonald’s USA, LLC states that approximately 640,591,900 game pieces are planned for 2026. At the outset, its published overall odds of winning an Instant Win Prize—mostly food—were 1 in 5. The rules also list approximately 122,458,639 food prizes, with outset odds of approximately 1 in 5.23 for a food prize.

The official promotion page advertises examples including cash, travel, a Jeep, a Polaris vehicle, an Audio-Technica turntable, gift cards, subscriptions, and food or Rewards prizes. These are examples, not a promise that a particular prize remains available or that any player will win it.
