If you mean several local videos playing in sequence inside a Streamlabs Desktop broadcast, the official Streamlabs material available here does not document a native ordered-playlist feature or a way to load a YouTube playlist URL as a source. These are two different playback workflows, and the reliable steps depend on which one you want.
First decide where the playlist should play
- In YouTube’s player: YouTube controls the playlist order and repeat setting. This is the documented route if viewers should watch a YouTube playlist.
- Inside your live broadcast: Streamlabs Desktop produces the scene sent to YouTube. A media source or Media Share widget is not evidence that the app can automatically advance through a fixed ordered set of local videos.
Streamlabs’ getting-started guide covers adding sources and widgets, and its Media Share guide describes a viewer-requested video feature. Neither establishes ordered local-file playlist playback or a YouTube playlist URL as a native source. The older Streamlabs media-caching article discusses media files such as MP4, GIF, and MP3 as sources and describes looping media, but it does not document sequencing multiple files. Check the media-source properties in your installed build or consult Streamlabs documentation for that specific version before relying on sequential playback. Arrange and loop a playlist in YouTube
Change the order
- Open the playlist in YouTube or YouTube Studio.
- On desktop, drag videos up or down in the playlist to put them in the order you want. YouTube Studio also provides an arrangement choice when creating a playlist.
- If you cannot reorder it, check whether the playlist contains only Shorts: YouTube says reordering is unavailable for playlists made up only of Shorts. YouTube Help: Create and manage playlists.
Repeat the playlist
- Play a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist panel in YouTube’s player.
- Click the loop control in the playlist box.
This repeats the playlist through YouTube’s player; it is not a Streamlabs Desktop source setting. YouTube Help: Loop videos or playlists on YouTube.
If the videos must appear inside the live stream
That is a different goal from playing a YouTube playlist. Streamlabs documents scene sources and viewer-requested Media Share, but the cited material does not confirm that a playlist URL or a sequence of local files will advance automatically in order. Do not assume that adding several media sources to a scene will create sequential playback. Inspect your installed version’s media-source properties and verify the behavior with a private or unlisted test stream before using it for a scheduled broadcast. If the build does not provide the required sequence behavior, use a playback method explicitly supported by that build or choose a cloud service designed to loop uploaded videos.

Clear rights before streaming
YouTube’s live-stream terms require the rights needed to use the live content and its archive, including applicable music licensing rights. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; detection can produce a warning, interruption, or termination. A license alone may not be enough operationally: YouTube says third-party content that is licensed may still require the rights holder to allowlist your channel. Confirm that your permissions cover the actual live broadcast and any archived replay before going live. YouTube Terms of Service, YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams.
