Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallTo keep ASMR fabric sounds live on YouTube, capture original fabric audio with a microphone, send it through a streaming encoder such as OBS Studio, and monitor the broadcast in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. Your channel must be verified and free of live-streaming restrictions from the previous 90 days. For a continuous stream, plan for a computer and network that can stay connected, use content you have rights to, and check the feed while it runs.
What you need for a continuous fabric-sounds stream
- Fabric and a quiet recording space: Choose sounds you can reproduce consistently, such as rubbing, folding, or brushing fabric. A stable scene helps viewers focus on the audio.
- A microphone and encoder: Connect a microphone to the computer running your encoder. YouTube’s encoder guidance identifies microphones and preamps among the hardware that can be used for encoder streams: YouTube encoder streaming overview.
- Streaming software: OBS Studio provides support material for streaming and audio setup in its official knowledge base. The right resolution, bitrate, codec, and network settings depend on your equipment and connection; there is no universal setting established here.
- A reliable connection and a way to monitor the broadcast: The computer must keep sending the encoder feed, and you should be able to check YouTube’s stream status and warnings during the session.
No particular microphone model or type is established as best for ASMR fabric sounds. Prioritize a microphone you can position consistently and test with the exact fabrics and movements you plan to stream.
Prepare the sound and scene before going public
- Arrange the fabric, microphone, and visual scene. Keep the microphone at a consistent distance and angle so changes in loudness come from the fabric rather than shifting placement.
- Set up a simple visual that can run for the duration of the stream. If the fabric handling changes on camera, make sure the activity and sound remain aligned; a static scene is also an option.
- In OBS or your chosen encoder, select the microphone as the audio input, build the scene, and check audio levels. Use the encoder’s audio controls to avoid a signal that is inaudible or distorts; exact level targets depend on the equipment and are not specified by the available YouTube guidance.
- Run a private or unlisted test and listen to it before scheduling a public broadcast. Check for room noise, handling noise, interruptions, and any mismatch between the picture and sound.
Set up YouTube Live and connect the encoder
YouTube supports encoder streaming. Its live-stream eligibility guidance says your channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Check the current requirements and start a broadcast through YouTube’s live-streaming guide.
- Open YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room. Create or schedule the broadcast, then choose the encoder streaming option.
- Copy the stream key from the Live Control Room and paste it into the encoder’s stream destination settings. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Start the encoder feed and wait for YouTube to receive it. Check the Live Control Room preview and stream status before making the broadcast public.
- When the preview and audio are correct, start the live broadcast from YouTube Studio if the broadcast is scheduled or waiting to go live. Keep the encoder feed running for as long as you want the live session to continue.
YouTube’s encoder overview also describes a 24/7 broadcast use case in which video continues while broadcasts are managed. API automation is optional; it is not required for a creator to send a continuous encoder feed.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Keep the stream going and plan for long sessions
A continuous stream depends on the encoder continuing to send video and audio and on the connection remaining available. Monitor the Live Control Room for stream status and warnings. If the encoder stops or the network drops, YouTube may no longer receive the feed; restore the encoder connection and check the preview before relying on the broadcast again.
For very long streams, consider whether viewers need to rewind during the live broadcast and whether you need an archive. YouTube Help’s surfaced guidance says DVR may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. Because that threshold is not confirmed here against a clean canonical help page, treat it as a caution rather than a guaranteed cutoff and check the current Live Control Room options for your broadcast.

Protect the stream from copyright interruptions
Use fabric audio and visuals that you created or have permission to use. YouTube says live streams are scanned for third-party content; a detected match can replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. This can apply even if you have a license: YouTube says the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist to prevent a match from interrupting the stream. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.
For a fabric-sounds channel, original recordings and a self-made visual scene avoid relying on music, television audio, or other third-party material that could trigger a claim.

Troubleshoot common stream problems
- YouTube does not receive the encoder feed: Confirm the encoder is actively streaming, that the selected destination is YouTube, and that the current stream key is entered correctly. Check the Live Control Room for an incoming preview.
- The stream stops unexpectedly: Check whether the encoder closed, the computer slept, or the network connection failed. Restore the feed and verify YouTube’s status before assuming the broadcast has resumed.
- The fabric audio is too quiet, distorted, or inconsistent: Recheck the selected input, microphone position, and encoder audio controls. Make a new private or unlisted test after each adjustment.
- YouTube interrupts or replaces the stream: Check for a copyright notice in YouTube Studio. Remove or replace the material that was matched; if you have rights to third-party content, ask the rights owner whether your channel can be added to its Content ID allowlist.
- Viewers cannot rewind or the archive is unavailable: Review the broadcast’s DVR and archive options in Live Control Room. YouTube Help’s surfaced long-stream guidance warns that DVR may be limited or unavailable beyond 12 hours, but the current behavior should be checked for your stream.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you do not want a home computer and connection to carry the stream continuously, StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload your fabric-sounds recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops the uploaded video from the cloud; it does not capture a live microphone or camera.
