You can use Gyre to upload prerecorded videos, arrange them into a repeating playlist, connect your YouTube channel, and start or schedule a continuous livestream. The key condition is music clearance: “royalty-free” alone does not guarantee that a track is licensed for a live broadcast, every territory, or an archived replay—and YouTube can still interrupt a stream when its systems detect a match.
Check that your YouTube channel can livestream
Before preparing the playlist, check YouTube’s current eligibility requirements. YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a livestreaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube also currently requires livestream creators to be at least 16. Review YouTube’s livestreaming eligibility and setup guidance, since platform requirements can change.
Prepare a playlist of prerecorded videos
Gyre’s documented workflow is to upload prerecorded files to its service, arrange the files into a playlist, connect YouTube, and launch or schedule the broadcast. Gyre says its playlists repeat after reaching the end and that the stream runs in the cloud, so your own computer does not have to remain on. These are Gyre’s descriptions of its service, not a guarantee that a broadcast will never be interrupted.
Gyre recommends keeping playlist material on one topic. For a music stream, that can mean grouping tracks and visuals that belong together rather than mixing unrelated material. Treat this as Gyre’s editorial recommendation, not a YouTube requirement. Check Gyre’s current product guidance for its upload and playlist workflow; interface labels may change.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Connect Gyre to YouTube and start or schedule the stream
- Connect the channel: Use Gyre’s current channel-connection flow to link the eligible YouTube channel.
- Choose the playlist: Select the uploaded videos you want to play continuously and arrange their order.
- Configure the broadcast: Set up the stream or schedule in Gyre’s current interface, following its instructions for the connected channel.
- Preview and monitor: Use YouTube’s encoder setup and monitoring guidance to check the broadcast before relying on it. YouTube lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for continuous streams of prerecorded video in its live encoder guidance.
Do not treat “24/7” as a promise of uninterrupted uptime. Rights enforcement, YouTube or Gyre service problems, and other technical interruptions can stop a live broadcast.
Clear every music track for livestream use
YouTube places responsibility on the livestream provider to have all necessary rights for live content, including music rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other rights holders. A track described as free or royalty-free is not automatically cleared for every use. Review YouTube’s Livestream Terms and Conditions and check the actual license for each track before adding it to a continuous playlist.

Check the license against the way you plan to use the music:
- Live broadcasts: It must explicitly permit livestreaming or live broadcasting, not only downloads, personal listening, or use in edited videos.
- Territory: Confirm that permission covers the countries where the stream will be available and heard.
- Commercial use: If you monetize the channel or stream, confirm the license permits that use.
- Attribution: Follow any credit, description, or on-screen attribution requirements.
- Replays: Check whether the permission also covers an archived livestream or other replay after the broadcast ends.
- Content ID: Ask whether the rights holder can add your channel to its Content ID allowlist if YouTube identifies the track.
Keep a record of the license, the track title, the rights holder or catalog, and any required attribution. YouTube’s Audio Library is a recommended starting point for royalty-free music and sound effects; observe the specific terms that apply to each item. Do not assume that every third-party library grants the same scope of rights.

Do not rely on Creator Music for a live playlist
YouTube’s cited Creator Music usage guidance excludes livestreams: its tracks are for long-form videos, not livestreams or Shorts. A Creator Music option for a long-form upload should not be treated as permission to use that track in a continuous live broadcast.
Understand Content ID interruptions
YouTube scans livestreams for third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the live player with a placeholder, interrupt the stream, or terminate it. Having a license does not necessarily prevent an automated match from occurring.

If you have licensed a track, YouTube says to ask the content owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Arrange that with the owner before depending on the track for a continuous broadcast. YouTube explains the process and possible live-stream actions in its live-streaming copyright guidance. An allowlist request is not a substitute for a valid license; you need both the necessary rights and the owner’s help to avoid an avoidable Content ID interruption.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Troubleshoot common problems
- You cannot start a livestream: Check channel verification, the channel’s livestream status, and the age requirement against YouTube’s current eligibility guidance.
- The live player is replaced or the stream stops: A Content ID match may have occurred. Check YouTube’s notices, confirm that the license covers livestreaming, and contact the rights holder about adding your channel to its allowlist.
- A track’s license is unclear: Do not infer live permission from “royalty-free,” “free,” or permission to use the track in a video. Check the license terms with the catalog or rights holder, including territory, monetization, attribution, and replay coverage.
- The playlist loops, but the broadcast does not stay live: A repeating playlist describes playback behavior, not guaranteed uptime. Check Gyre and YouTube’s current status and monitoring information, then review any stream interruption notice.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is another way to keep a prerecorded YouTube stream running: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Its cloud service loops the uploaded video, so nothing has to stay on at home. It streams the files as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it also offers automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for prerecorded videos on YouTube, not camera-based live production. See StreamNeo or start the free day.
