Make an original animated study-room scene, pair it with lofi music you own or have cleared for livestreaming and archived replays, then send the finished audio and video to YouTube Live through an encoder such as OBS Studio. For a schedule that runs around the clock, plan for monitoring and restarts: YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, so one uninterrupted broadcast is not a guarantee of a permanent 24/7 stream.
1. Build the scene and clear the audio
Create or commission the animated room and the music, and keep records showing who owns each asset and what its license permits. The permission needs to cover both live transmission and any archived replay. YouTube’s live-stream terms make the provider responsible for necessary rights, including music rights: YouTube live-stream terms.
If you use licensed third-party music, check whether the license covers YouTube livestreams and recordings worldwide. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. A match can cause a placeholder to replace the stream; if the material remains, the broadcast may be interrupted or terminated. YouTube says a rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license alone may not prevent an interruption.
Make the animation loop cleanly
Design the end of the animation to meet its beginning without a visible jump, or create a longer scene that can repeat unobtrusively. Check the transition in the actual encoder preview, and listen for clicks, gaps, or sudden changes in loudness where audio repeats. Keep the scene and soundtrack available as local files in a format your chosen encoder accepts.

2. Choose how to send the program to YouTube
An encoder takes the composed audio and video and sends it to YouTube Live. You can run that encoder on your own computer or choose a dedicated hardware or cloud workflow. YouTube’s verified-encoder list includes OBS Studio, AJA HELO Plus, and Gyre; the listed options have different operating models, so compare the setup and ongoing costs that matter to your production. 3. Set up a YouTube Live broadcast with OBS
- Prepare the program. Open OBS and add your animated room as a video source and your cleared lofi track as an audio source. Arrange and preview the scene; confirm both picture and sound are present before connecting.
- Create or select a stream. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create a stream or select one you have already set up.
- Connect OBS. Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for that YouTube stream into OBS’s streaming connection settings. Treat the key as private: anyone who obtains it may be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Start the encoder and check the preview. Start streaming in OBS, then wait for the incoming video to appear in Live Control Room. Verify the animation, audio and levels there before going live.
- Start the YouTube broadcast. Use Live Control Room to go live once the preview is correct. Keep the stream and encoder status visible so you can spot a failure.

4. Plan continuity, monitoring and archives
“24/7” is a programming goal, not a guarantee that one broadcast will remain live indefinitely. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Design your schedule around sessions and archives: decide who will monitor the stream, how you will restart it after a disconnect, and how viewers will be told about interruptions or schedule changes.

A local OBS stream depends on the computer, power, network and encoder continuing to work. OBS’s help portal notes that rising dropped-frame counts can indicate an unstable connection or a bitrate the connection cannot sustain. Watch for dropped frames and loss of the YouTube preview; if they appear, check whether the network can sustain the configured bitrate and whether the local system is still operating normally. An encoder or internet interruption can stop the broadcast, so have a recovery plan rather than assuming it will repair itself.
5. Protect monetization eligibility with original value
Copyright permission and monetization eligibility are separate questions. YouTube’s monetization policies apply to livestreams and flag repetitive or mass-produced content that lacks creative, educational or other viewer value. YouTube also assesses reused content separately from copyright: permission to reuse a work does not, by itself, settle whether a channel qualifies for monetization. Make the room and soundtrack demonstrably original, and give the stream meaningful creative value rather than relying on a repetitive loop alone. YouTube channel monetization policies
