Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTo run a 24/7 lofi hip hop radio on YouTube, clear the rights to every track and visual, prepare a seamless program, then send it to YouTube Live with either a local encoder such as OBS or a cloud service. For a local setup, the computer and internet connection must stay available; a cloud setup runs the uploaded program remotely. Start by enabling live streaming on your channel, then test the complete playback and loop before making it public.
1. Enable live streaming before you build the show
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and its guidance sets a minimum age of 16 for live streaming. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so do this ahead of your planned launch. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance and its live-streaming age requirements.
Use YouTube Studio to schedule or create a live stream and access its stream URL and stream key. Treat the key like a password: anyone who gets it may be able to broadcast to your channel. In a local-encoder workflow, enter those details in the encoder, start sending video, check the preview and stream-health messages in Live Control Room, and start the public broadcast when ready. YouTube describes both software encoders on computers and dedicated hardware encoders in its encoder setup guide.
2. Clear the music and visual rights
Do not build the playlist until you know that each track is licensed for continuous YouTube livestreaming. A downloaded file, artist credit, or a “royalty-free” label alone does not establish that permission. For original music, clear the full production chain, including samples and loops. For commissioned tracks, put permitted platforms, uses, territories, and monetization in a written agreement. For library music, check the actual license for livestreaming and any recording or monetization you intend to do.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Keep license agreements, invoices, source URLs, track lists, and the applicable terms for every track.
- Where relevant, ask the rights holder or library about Content ID allowlisting. A license does not guarantee that automated claims or interruptions will not occur.
- Use artwork and animation you created, commissioned, or have licensed for the planned use. Avoid another channel’s recognizable characters, scenes, or branding.
YouTube says music and sound effects from its Audio Library are copyright-safe on YouTube. For tracks marked Creative Commons, include the attribution text supplied by the library in the video description. YouTube says it cannot establish the copyright safety of “royalty-free” music from other channels or libraries; that statement concerns YouTube use, not legal advice for other uses.
All content in a livestream must follow YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Review the live-streaming policies and handle copyright as a launch requirement, not an issue to sort out after the stream attracts viewers.
3. Assemble a program that loops cleanly
Choose one long mix or a matched playlist
A single longer mix is simpler to sequence and review. A playlist of separate files makes it easier to replace a track. Whichever format you choose, check transitions, perceived loudness, and the handoff from the final item back to the first. Listen through that end-to-start boundary rather than assuming it will be seamless.

For a playlist, keep resolution, frame rate, video and audio codecs, and audio sample rate consistent across files. Audition each handoff at normal playback volume. If the stream includes animation, check the last frame against the first so the visual loop does not flash or jump.
Prepare the visual and export
Use a still scene or restrained animation that you have permission to broadcast. A practical starting export described in StreamNeo’s lofi setup guide is MP4 with H.264 video, AAC stereo audio, 1080p at 30 frames per second, and a two-second keyframe interval. These are starting settings, not a requirement to use that resolution or format.
For YouTube Live, its encoder settings guidance recommends H.264, constant bitrate (CBR), a two-second keyframe interval, and AAC or MP3 audio. It lists 10 Mbps for H.264 at 1080p30 and 4 Mbps at 720p30 as recommended bitrates. Those are platform recommendations, not guarantees that a connection can sustain the stream. Match the chosen bitrate to your upload capacity and leave headroom for stability. YouTube transcodes the live stream into viewer playback formats.

4. Choose how to keep the stream running
StreamNeo is the cloud option to consider first: it keeps an uploaded YouTube program running remotely, at any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and its first day is free.
| Consideration | Local encoder, such as OBS | Cloud delivery, such as StreamNeo |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | On your computer or dedicated encoder at your location. | On the provider’s cloud after you upload media and configure the YouTube connection. |
| What must stay available | The encoder and a stable local internet connection. OBS notes that an unstable connection or a bitrate it cannot sustain can cause dropped frames. | The provider service and account. StreamNeo says it attempts automatic reconnection after a connection interruption; this is a vendor claim, not an independent uptime guarantee. |
| Control and effort | More direct control over scenes and encoder settings, with more setup and supervision. | Remote operation without keeping your local computer on, subject to the provider’s current service terms. |
| Cost considerations | OBS is available at no charge; hardware, electricity, and internet remain your responsibility. | Service fees depend on the provider and selected billing period. Check current limits, storage, pricing, and recovery terms. |

Run it locally with OBS
- In YouTube Studio, create or schedule the live stream and copy its stream URL and key.
- In OBS, open Settings > Stream, choose YouTube as the service, and enter the stream key or connect the account using the available workflow.
- Load the prepared video or playlist into your production workflow. Set the output encoder to H.264, CBR, and a two-second keyframe interval; choose a bitrate appropriate to your resolution and reliable upload capacity. Set audio to AAC or MP3.
- Start streaming from OBS. Wait for the YouTube preview and stream-health information, confirm the correct channel and program, then start the broadcast in Live Control Room if the selected workflow requires it.
- Keep the computer, OBS, and internet connection running. Monitor dropped frames and YouTube’s stream-health messages.
A UPS may help a locally hosted computer ride through a brief power interruption, but it will not fix an internet outage and is not useful for cloud hosting.

Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is for YouTube streams made from uploaded videos; it does not broadcast a live camera. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps the program running without a computer or home connection staying on. Every slot streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price, includes 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, and automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Its monthly option is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo for current details and start the free first day.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.5. Test before making it public
Run an unlisted test with the actual audio, visual, and encoder or cloud configuration. Make it long enough to hear multiple track changes and the return from the end to the beginning. YouTube recommends testing with audio and movement similar to the planned broadcast, monitoring stream health, and reviewing its messages.
- Confirm the correct YouTube channel and stream destination.
- Listen for silence, clipping, uneven loudness, and abrupt transitions.
- Watch for frozen video, visible loop seams, and unexpected cuts.
- Check the stream on a mobile device as well as your production screen.
- Confirm the description includes required artist credits and attributions.
6. Monitor the broadcast and plan for archives
A 24/7 stream needs periodic checks for encoder warnings, frozen visuals, silence, clipping, loop seams, chat spam, and copyright notices. Keep source files and rights records available so you can replace a problematic track or respond to a claim. A local setup also depends on the computer and network continuing to work; OBS documents dropped frames when the connection to the destination is unstable or cannot keep up with the selected bitrate.

YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A 24/7 broadcast exceeds that duration, so do not assume YouTube will provide a complete VOD of the continuous program. Keep a separate recording or publish shorter edited mixes if preserving the full music program matters.
7. Understand monetization limits
Being able to livestream does not mean a channel qualifies for monetization. YouTube says YouTube Partner Program members can monetize live streams, and its Audio Library guidance says YPP members can monetize videos containing Audio Library music and sound effects. Check current eligibility and feature availability in YouTube Studio. There is no basis here to predict earnings for a new lofi channel.
