Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Short answer: YouTube’s playlist Loop control repeats videos for someone watching; it does not rotate videos in a creator’s live broadcast each day. To change what a YouTube Live audience sees, arrange the daily rotation in the creator’s playback source or streaming service, then send that feed to YouTube. If you only want to repeat a regular playlist, use YouTube’s Loop or Repeat control.
First: are you watching a playlist or running a live channel?
These are different tasks. A viewer can repeat an existing YouTube playlist. A creator who wants different prerecorded videos to appear in a Live broadcast must supply those changing videos through a streaming workflow; there is no viewer-side “Live playlist loop” setting that schedules daily changes.
- Viewer: Use YouTube’s Loop or Repeat control for ordinary playlist playback.
- Creator: Arrange the files and their playback schedule on the source or encoder side, then send the resulting audio-video feed to YouTube Live.
YouTube’s Live documentation distinguishes the stream that carries audio and video from the broadcast event viewers watch. It describes configuring an encoder from a liveStream resource and associating broadcast resources with that stream. The documented model explains how content reaches YouTube; it does not provide a daily file-rotation scheduler.
How to repeat a regular YouTube playlist
On desktop or mobile, open a video that belongs to the playlist, expand the playlist, and select Loop in the playlist box. On a TV or game console, open the playlist and choose Repeat in the playback controls until it indicates Repeat • Playlist. Button placement and the exact interface can vary by device; follow the labels YouTube documents for your device.

This repeats the playlist for playback. It does not change the incoming video of a creator’s live broadcast.
For a website embed
YouTube’s IFrame player documentation supports loading a playlist with listType=playlist and its playlist ID in list. The loop parameter repeats the playlist from its first video. This controls the embedded player, not YouTube Live ingestion.

How a creator can rotate videos in a YouTube Live feed
To show different prerecorded videos on a schedule, make the source that feeds YouTube play the intended files in the intended order. That source may be an encoder workflow or a streaming service capable of scheduling files. The creator’s workflow—not YouTube’s viewer playlist control—must provide the change in content.
- Choose the schedule and broadcast shape. Decide whether you need one continuous live feed whose source changes each day, or separate scheduled live events. They are not the same setup.
- Prepare the files and rotation. Put the videos in the order you want and configure the source or service to play the right files on the right days. Confirm that it supports the schedule you need; the YouTube API guide does not specify a daily playlist scheduler.
- Configure the YouTube stream and encoder. YouTube’s Live API model uses a
liveStreamfor transmission settings and aliveBroadcastfor the event viewers see. The encoder sends the audio-video feed to YouTube. - Decide whether events are continuous or separate. For separate events, YouTube’s recurring-broadcast example creates distinct broadcast resources, binds them to a stream, and transitions each event to testing or live as appropriate. The guide says those events can have unique video content while using the same streaming settings.
- Verify the change before relying on it. Check the source schedule and the intended broadcast or event in advance. Do not assume a playlist toggle in YouTube will perform the rotation or that transitions between files will be seamless.
The LiveBroadcast API reference describes a broadcast as one YouTube video and documents scheduled start and end times. If a scheduled end time is omitted, the broadcast is treated as continuing indefinitely. It also describes automatic start and stop settings tied to the bound stream. Those settings concern broadcast lifecycle; they do not rotate a playlist inside a broadcast.

Choose the route that matches your goal
| Goal | Where the change happens | What YouTube documents | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Repeat videos while watching | YouTube’s playlist/player | Help documents Loop/Repeat; IFrame documentation covers playlist loading and the loop parameter. |
Repeats existing playback; it is not a creator broadcast schedule. |
| Rotate prerecorded videos in a creator-owned Live feed | The creator’s playback source, encoder workflow, or streaming service | API documentation describes encoder transmission settings and recurring broadcasts. | The cited YouTube documentation does not explain a daily file-rotation scheduler or endorse a particular encoder. |
If you are choosing a creator-side tool, check whether it can schedule daily or weekly files, run unattended, recover from a dropped connection, and either maintain one continuous broadcast or start separate events as you intend. Also check whether it runs locally or in the cloud and what it costs. Do not infer those capabilities from YouTube’s API documentation alone.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for keeping a channel live from uploaded videos. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded videos from the cloud, so no computer or home connection has to stay on. For a daily rotation, arrange the files in the playlist or workflow you want before going live; StreamNeo’s stated features include looping and playlists, not a claim that YouTube itself schedules daily changes.
