To loop a Hindi news bulletin on YouTube Live, add the recording to an OBS scene as a Media Source, enable Loop, then connect OBS to an encoder stream in YouTube Studio using its stream URL and key. Test the preview and confirm you have rights to rebroadcast every part of the bulletin—including any archived copy—before going live.
Before you set up the stream
Check rights to the complete bulletin
Make sure you have permission to rebroadcast the bulletin’s video, audio, music, clips, and graphics. Also check whether your permission covers YouTube retaining an archived version. YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content; a match can cause the picture to be replaced, a warning to appear, or the stream to be interrupted or terminated. A license alone may not prevent a live interruption if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and its livestream terms and conditions. These platform rules do not determine whether a specific bulletin or license permits your use.
Check that your channel can go live
YouTube’s current getting-started guidance says the channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so check eligibility and activate live streaming on the channel well before the planned broadcast. See Get started with live streaming.
Set up a looping recording in OBS
- Create or select a scene. In OBS, choose an existing scene or add a new one for the bulletin.
- Add the recording. In the Sources area, select + → Media Source. Give it a recognizable name, choose the local recording file, and confirm the source. OBS documents common formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, FLV, TS, and WebM. The exact property labels can vary by OBS version and operating system; use the Media Source properties in your installed version. See OBS Project’s Media Sources documentation.
- Enable the loop. In the Media Source properties, turn on Loop. This makes the file play again after playback completes.
- Check the scene preview. Confirm the bulletin’s picture is visible and its audio meter responds as expected. Observe the end of playback and its return to the beginning to make sure the repeat behaves as intended. These checks verify the source in OBS; they do not confirm YouTube has received a usable stream.
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- Open YouTube Studio. Select Create → Go Live, then create or select an encoder stream in Live Control Room. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.
- Copy the stream URL and key. YouTube provides an ingest/server URL and a stream key for the encoder. In OBS, open Settings → Stream, select the YouTube service or enter the server details as appropriate for your OBS version, and paste in the URL and key. YouTube also explains these fields in Manage live stream settings.
- Protect the key. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Do not show it in a screenshot, tutorial, or public post.
- Choose visibility deliberately. Set the stream’s visibility and other event details in YouTube Studio before transmitting. Use an unlisted test if you need to check delivery without making the event public.
- Start the encoder and check YouTube’s preview. Start streaming from OBS and wait for YouTube’s preview and stream-health information. Check picture, sound, and any health alerts before starting the public event. A successful OBS connection alone does not prove the viewer experience is clean. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring the output; see its live streaming tips.
Choose output settings for the recording
OBS’s output must suit the source recording and the upload connection. YouTube publishes encoder recommendations for resolution, bitrate, and other settings in Choose live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions. Use those current recommendations for your chosen output rather than assuming one setting fits every resolution or connection. Check the resulting preview and stream health before going live; the materials cited here do not establish a single required bitrate or resolution for every Hindi bulletin.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Monitor the broadcast and end it cleanly
- Keep an eye on OBS’s connection status, the Media Source picture and audio, and YouTube’s stream-health notices.
- Watch for a copyright warning or interruption and respond to YouTube’s notice; permission to use material and automated detection are separate issues.
- When the event is over, stop the encoder in OBS and end the stream in YouTube Studio as appropriate. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, so account for the archive when checking rights and retention expectations. Longer streams should not be assumed to receive the same automatic archive treatment.
Troubleshooting
The Media Source is blank or will not play
- Reopen its properties and check that the intended local file is selected and accessible.
- Confirm the file uses a format OBS documents for Media Sources, such as MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, FLV, TS, or WebM.
- Check that the source is visible in the scene and not obscured by another source. If controls differ, consult the Media Sources documentation for the installed version.
The video plays once and stops
Open the Media Source properties and verify that Loop is enabled. Confirm the repeat by watching the transition from the end back to the beginning in the OBS preview.
OBS connects but YouTube has no usable preview
- Check that OBS has the correct YouTube stream URL and key, and that the selected YouTube event is the one you intend to use.
- Wait for YouTube’s preview and stream-health status, then inspect OBS’s connection state and the video/audio output.
- Review the encoder settings against YouTube’s recommendations and test again before making the event public.
YouTube interrupts the stream or shows a copyright notice
Review YouTube’s notice and the material detected. Confirm permission covers every third-party element and the archive, and ask the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting where applicable. Do not assume that holding a license by itself prevents automated live-stream interruption.
