How to Loop a Diya and Rain Ambience Video on YouTube Live in India

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To loop a finished diya-and-rain video on YouTube Live, send it through a live encoder such as OBS Studio: add the file as a Media Source, turn on Loop, connect OBS to a YouTube Live stream, and start streaming. YouTube’s player loop only repeats playback for an individual viewer; it does not broadcast your video live.

What you need before you start

  • A finished video file with diya visuals and rain ambience that you have the right to broadcast.
  • A computer running OBS Studio, plus a reliable internet connection with enough upload capacity for the quality you choose.
  • Access to YouTube Live in the channel you plan to use, and its stream connection details from YouTube Studio.

For a documentary-style ambience stream, consider whether the recording, music, sound effects, and any other included material are yours or cleared for live broadcast. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches, and a rights dispute can interrupt the broadcast.

Loop one video in OBS Studio

  1. Create a scene. Open OBS Studio and add a scene for the broadcast.
  2. Add the video. In the scene’s Sources, select + and choose Media Source. Create or select a source, then browse to the finished video file.
  3. Enable looping. In the Media Source properties, turn on Loop. The source will restart when it reaches the end.
  4. Check the audio. Play the source and confirm that the rain ambience is audible at a suitable level and that the image is visible in the preview.
  5. Watch a restart. Before relying on the loop, let the file finish once and check that both picture and sound resume as intended.

OBS documents Media Source on Windows, macOS, and Linux, with common video and audio formats. If a file does not play, confirm that OBS can read its format and that the source points to the correct file.

Loop a playlist instead

For a stream made from multiple ambience videos, use OBS’s VLC Video Source and add the files to its playlist. Enable Loop Playlist in the source properties. OBS requires VLC to be installed for this source to be available. Check each item’s picture and audio, as well as the transition from the final item back to the first.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Connect OBS to YouTube Live

  1. Open YouTube Studio and go to Live Control Room. Create or select the live stream and use the encoder connection details YouTube provides.
  2. Enter the connection in OBS. In OBS, open Settings and then Stream. Select YouTube as the service and connect as prompted, or enter the server and stream key supplied by YouTube if using a manual connection.
  3. Keep the stream key private. Treat it like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your broadcast. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and update OBS.
  4. Set output quality for your connection. YouTube recommends choosing a quality your internet connection can reliably sustain. For H.264 at 1080p and 30 fps, its current recommendation is 5–14 Mbps. That is a recommended encoder bitrate range, not a guarantee that your upload connection will handle it without interruptions.
  5. Use the recommended keyframe interval. YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe interval and says not to exceed four seconds. Use the current YouTube encoder settings for any other codec, resolution, frame rate, and audio settings.
  6. Test before the public broadcast. Start the encoder feed, check the picture and sound in YouTube Studio, and monitor stream health before and during the live event. If the connection is unstable, choose a lower quality that it can sustain.
  7. Start the live broadcast. Follow the Live Control Room prompts to go live, then verify that the expected video and rain audio are reaching YouTube.

YouTube recommends RTMP or RTMPS encoder streaming. Its settings and interface may change; follow the current options shown in YouTube Studio and YouTube’s live encoder settings.

Or let it run in the cloud

StreamNeo is an optional cloud service for keeping uploaded videos live on YouTube. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud continues looping without a home computer or internet connection staying on.

Copyright, live access, and monetization

Use material you can broadcast

YouTube states: “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match can lead to a placeholder image, a warning, or interruption or termination if the material remains. A license alone may not prevent interruption: YouTube says the rights holder may also need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Check the rights for the visuals, rain recording, music, and any other third-party material before going live. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

Check that the channel can go live

Confirm live-stream access in YouTube Studio before preparing a long broadcast. YouTube says access can be disabled for restrictions, and an active restriction cannot be bypassed by streaming from another channel. Its current guidance also includes age-related rules, including an adult’s presence when someone under 16 streams from an adult-owned account. See YouTube’s live-streaming access guidance.

Do not assume a replay or monetization

YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams over 12 hours may not be captured at all. Keep the original video and make a local recording if you need a replay. For monetization, YouTube applies its channel monetization policies to live streams. Its policy page says the “repetitious content” policy was renamed “inauthentic content” in a 2025-07-15 update, and says generic, repetitive, or mass-produced material may not meet originality and authenticity requirements. Reused-content review is separate from copyright permission. An original diya scene with independently recorded rain may help establish authorship, but it does not guarantee monetization approval or revenue. See YouTube’s channel monetization policies and its live-stream archive guidance.

Troubleshooting

What you see Likely cause What to check
The video stops at the end The Media Source Loop option is off, or the playlist loop is not enabled. Open the source properties and enable Loop for one file or Loop Playlist for a VLC Video Source.
YouTube does not receive a feed The stream service, connection details, or stream key do not match the live stream. Compare OBS’s stream settings with the details currently shown in YouTube Studio. Reset an exposed key and replace it in OBS.
The stream buffers or reports poor health The selected bitrate or quality may exceed what the upload connection can reliably sustain. Use YouTube’s encoder recommendations as a starting point, test the connection, and reduce output quality if stream health is unstable.
Video appears but rain audio does not The file may have no usable audio track, or its source audio may be muted or misrouted. Play the file locally, then check the OBS audio mixer while the source is playing.
The broadcast is interrupted after a rights match YouTube detected third-party content, or a rights holder’s Content ID settings do not allow the channel. Stop using material you are not authorized to broadcast; if you hold a license, confirm with the rights holder whether your channel must be allowlisted.
No automatic replay appears The live stream exceeded 12 hours, or archiving did not complete. Keep a local recording when a replay matters; YouTube says streams over 12 hours may not be captured as an automatic archive.
