To keep the same prerecorded videos playing in standard YouTube, turn on Repeat for the playlist—not Autoplay. On a TV or game console, check that the control reads “Repeat • Playlist”; on mobile, use the Loop control in the playlist box and leave it in the full-playlist state.
Repeat the playlist in standard YouTube
YouTube Help says, “The playlist will repeat continuously.” The steps vary by device, and the repeat control can have separate states for the whole playlist and the current video.
On a TV or game console
- Open the playlist and start one of its videos.
- Press down on the remote or controller to show the playback controls.
- Select Repeat. If needed, select it again until the indicator reads “Repeat • Playlist.”
The “Playlist” indicator matters: another repeat state may loop only the current video. The Repeat control may also be available in Settings while watching.
On a phone or tablet
- Start the playlist.
- Open the playlist control box below the video and tap Loop.
- Check that the control is set to repeat the playlist. Do not tap it a second time if that changes the state to repeating only the current video.
On a computer
YouTube Help describes playlist repeat in the expanded playlist box next to a playlist video. Open the playlist controls and look for Repeat. Since desktop controls can vary, confirm that the setting applies to the playlist rather than only the current video.

Repeat and Autoplay do different things

Autoplay settings can differ by device. YouTube also says Autoplay may stop automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity on a mobile network or four hours on Wi-Fi. Those limits concern Autoplay; they are not stated as limits on Playlist Repeat.
What to know about YouTube Kids
YouTube Kids has separately documented Autoplay for related videos, based on the child’s viewing history. Its guidance says Autoplay is off by default and can be toggled in the player. A parent can also turn it off in Family Center; for supervised YouTube accounts, a parent can choose “Disable autoplay” in Family Center settings so the child cannot turn it back on.

Those are controls for related-video Autoplay, not a verified playlist-loop setting. YouTube’s cited guidance does not establish that YouTube Kids supports repeating a playlist across devices. If you need the same videos to loop, check the exact YouTube Kids app and device rather than assuming the standard YouTube Repeat control is available there.
If you cannot create the playlist
YouTube’s playlist guidance says videos marked made for kids cannot be added to a playlist from a homepage, but can still be added from search results. If a video will not add, find it through search and try adding it from there. This affects playlist creation; it does not prevent standard YouTube from repeating an existing playlist.
