1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsA reusable YouTube stream key reuses the encoder connection details; it does not keep an ended YouTube live event open for the next loop. To continue within an intended scheduled event, select that event in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, connect the cloud encoder with its stream URL and key, check the preview, and click Go live. If YouTube has already ended the event, treat the next broadcast as a new event unless YouTube’s current interface and your provider’s documentation explicitly establish otherwise.
Why a reused stream key can still lead to a new live event
YouTube describes stream keys as the credentials and address an encoder uses to send video to YouTube. Reusing a key means the encoder can reuse connection details; it does not prove that a particular live event remains active after it ends.
YouTube’s Manage live stream settings page says that “Reuse settings” creates a new stream using the prior stream’s metadata, settings, and key. The new stream can be edited afterward. That is configuration reuse, not a promise that one event will persist indefinitely. Auto-start and Auto-stop are encoder controls, and the documentation does not say they turn repeated sessions into one permanent event.
Choose whether you need one event or separate events
Decide what viewers should see before configuring the cloud job. A scheduled event has its own event page and intended start and end; an unscheduled encoder session can use a reusable stream setup. The key alone does not make that choice.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Use a scheduled event when viewers need an advance event listing or reminder, or when each broadcast should have its own event page.
- Use encoder-triggered auto-start or auto-stop only when those controls suit your workflow. They control the encoder’s start and stop behavior; they do not guarantee a single continuing event.
- Verify interruption behavior with the cloud provider. YouTube’s documentation does not establish whether a provider reconnects within the same event, how long it may retry, or whether a fresh encoder session will create or attach to another event.
Connect a cloud encoder to the intended scheduled event
- Create or select the event: In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and use the Manage tab to create or select the scheduled event you mean to broadcast.
- Match the event and connection details: Configure the cloud encoder with that event’s stream URL and stream key. Check that the selected event and key correspond to the same broadcast; document the mapping if you run recurring cloud jobs.
- Check the preview and status: Start the encoder feed and wait for the stream preview. Confirm that the intended event is selected and the preview is present before clicking Go live. YouTube’s encoder workflow for scheduled streams calls for this preview check.
- Monitor the broadcast: Check audio and video quality and the event status in Live Control Room. YouTube recommends configuring the event and encoder ahead of time and checking the preview and accessibility.
See YouTube’s full Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder workflow for the current interface details.
What to do when a loop ends or the connection drops
If the broadcast is meant to finish
End the event in YouTube by clicking End Stream, then stop sending content from the encoder. YouTube’s documented shutdown sequence includes both actions. Streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, according to YouTube’s encoder instructions.

If the same event should stay active
Do not click End Stream while the event is intended to remain active. Confirm the event’s state in Live Control Room and check your provider’s instructions for reconnects and restarts. YouTube’s reviewed documentation does not promise how long a cloud provider can reconnect, whether a new encoder session will resume the same event, or that a loop can continue indefinitely inside one event.
If YouTube already shows the event as ended
Treat the next broadcast as a new event unless current YouTube interface behavior and provider documentation establish that the ended event can be resumed. Reusing the old key or settings is not evidence that the old event remains open.

Troubleshoot a loop that starts the wrong event
- A new event appears after restarting the cloud job: Check whether the provider starts a fresh encoder session or creates/selects an event automatically. Confirm the event state in Live Control Room and ask the provider how its restart behavior maps to YouTube events; YouTube does not document a universal cloud-reconnect policy.
- The wrong scheduled event receives the feed: Verify the event selected in Live Control Room and the stream URL/key entered in the cloud job. Correct the mapping before going live.
- The encoder reports a startup error: Get the stream key in Live Control Room and update the encoder, as YouTube advises in its live streaming troubleshooting guidance.
- Preview does not appear: Confirm that the encoder is sending to the intended event’s stream URL and key, then check the event and encoder configuration before clicking Go live.
Or let it run in the cloud
