What you need
- A supported television, streaming player, or computer connected to the TV.
- An internet connection and, for an external player, an available HDMI port and power outlet.
- The email address and password used for your Pure Flix account.
- A paid membership for titles labeled subscription-only or Premium. A free account is enough only for selected free programming and certain free events.
Install Pure Flix on your device
Roku
- Press Home on the Roku remote.
- Open Streaming Channels or Search.
- Search for Great American Pure Flix; try Pure Flix if necessary.
- Select the official app and choose Add app or Download.
- Open it and sign in with your Pure Flix credentials.

Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, or Fire TV Cube
- Press Home.
- Choose Find, then Search on newer interfaces, or use the magnifying-glass search option on older ones.

- Select the cloud icon or Download.

Use the consolidated 2020-plus/Tizen 5.0-plus requirement rather than assuming an older model is supported. Confirm borderline models in the current compatibility list.

- Press Home and open the search function.
- Search for Great American Pure Flix or Pure Flix.
- Select the official app and choose Install.
- Launch it and sign in.

- Open Apps, then Google Play Store.
- Select Search and enter Great American Pure Flix or Pure Flix.
- Select the official Android TV app and choose Install.
- Open it and sign in.
The device must meet the Android version threshold and have Play Store access. Avoid sideloading an APK unless Pure Flix specifically authorizes it for your device.
Apple TV
- Open the App Store on the Apple TV home screen.
- Select Search and enter Pure Flix.
- Select the official app and choose Get or Download.
- Open it and enter your account email and password.

Chromecast
- Install the Pure Flix app on a compatible Android phone, iPhone, or tablet.
- Connect the mobile device and Chromecast to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open Pure Flix and tap the Chromecast icon.
- Choose your Chromecast, select a title, and tap Play.
This is a phone-controlled casting workflow, not necessarily a standalone Pure Flix interface on the television.
Computer connected by HDMI
- Connect a Windows PC or Mac to the TV with an HDMI cable.
- Select the matching HDMI input on the television.
- Open Pure Flix in a supported browser and sign in.
- Start playback and move the browser window to the TV display if needed.

Free access
Pure Flix says a free account requires no credit card and provides selected free content and certain free events. Premium movies and shows still require an applicable paid plan: free-account details.

Devices and profiles
Pure Flix’s account-management guidance says a household can use up to five different devices, but it does not establish that five streams can run simultaneously. The service does not currently provide separate user profiles: account-management information.

The app is missing from the store
- Search both Pure Flix and Great American Pure Flix.
- Update the television or streaming device software.
- Restart the device.
- Check the exact model, operating system, and region against the compatibility page.
- Use a supported Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, or HDMI-connected computer if the built-in platform is unsupported.
- Contact Pure Flix support if a qualifying model still cannot find the app.
“Subscription Required” appears
Sign out, sign back in with the email used for the membership, check the spelling and password, and try the title again. A free account will not unlock subscription-only programming. See Pure Flix error-message guidance.
Sign-in fails
- Confirm the Pure Flix account email rather than the TV-platform email.
- Reset the password and retry.
- Wait briefly if repeated failures temporarily locked the account.
- Test the credentials in a browser.
- Check whether billing is handled by Apple, Google Play, Roku, or another provider.
Fire TV playback or app errors
- Check for Fire OS updates.
- Force-stop Pure Flix.
- Clear app data, then clear the cache.
- Uninstall the app.
- Unplug the Fire device for 60 seconds.
- Reinstall and sign in again.
Buffering or playback stops
No universal current bandwidth figure is established in the cited guidance. Restart the app and device, update software, test another supported device, use Ethernet where available, and improve the Wi-Fi signal by repositioning the router or player.

Cancel through the correct billing channel
Subscriptions purchased directly through PureFlix.com
- Sign in at PureFlix.com.
- Open the account or profile icon and choose Manage Account.
- Open Subscriptions.
- Select the gear icon beside the active plan.
- Choose Cancel Plan and complete the confirmation prompts.
Cancellation stops future billing; access generally continues through the current billing or trial period. Full instructions are at Pure Flix cancellation information.
Third-party billing
- Apple subscriptions: cancel through Apple, as explained at Apple billing support.
- Google Play subscriptions: cancel through Google Play using Google billing support.
- Roku-direct subscriptions: cancel through the Roku device or Roku account.
- Subscriptions supplied through FrndlyTV or another provider: cancel with that provider.
If no cancellation button appears, the plan may already be inactive, tied to another email, or billed by a third party.
