First work out whether the home server is watching the bhajan livestream or broadcasting it: the fixes differ. For playback, compare another device on the same Wi-Fi, test the server on another connection if practical, improve its Wi-Fi path to the router, and try lower playback quality. If the server is sending the stream to YouTube, inspect Live Control Room and encoder health instead.
Start by identifying what is buffering
“Home server” can mean a machine playing a YouTube livestream or a machine sending one. If you are watching, the player’s interruptions are the problem. If you are broadcasting, viewers may be seeing interruptions because the incoming stream or encoder has a problem. Those are related possibilities, but they are not the same diagnosis.
The exact cause cannot be determined from the symptom alone: the server, playback app, router, internet provider, Wi-Fi conditions, stream quality and broadcaster settings are all unknown. A speed test by itself does not identify every cause of live playback interruptions. YouTube’s buffering troubleshooting guidance recommends testing another internet connection; its TV guidance also points to router range, interference and other devices using the network.
If the server is watching the livestream
1. Check whether the problem follows the server or the connection
- Play the same bhajan livestream on another supported device connected to the same home Wi-Fi. If that device plays normally while the server buffers, focus first on the server’s browser or playback app, cache, available resources and updates.
- If available, try the server on a different connection, such as a mobile hotspot. Mobile data charges may apply. If playback improves, the home Wi-Fi or internet path may be involved; if it does not, the server or the stream may still be the issue.
- Note whether other devices on the home network are also buffering. If several devices have the problem, investigate the router, household network load, internet provider or a YouTube-side issue rather than assuming the server alone is at fault.
2. Check the Wi-Fi path where the server sits
For a reversible comparison, move the server closer to the router and avoid a position behind metal or inside a blocked recess. Temporarily reduce heavy network use by other devices and retry the stream. YouTube advises keeping a device within router range, reducing interference and minimizing other connected devices when a connection is slow. This test helps identify local wireless conditions; it does not prove that Wi-Fi is the only cause.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
3. Lower playback quality
If the YouTube player offers manual quality control, select a lower quality and see whether playback becomes steadier. If it does, the current path or device may not sustain the selected playback mode, but the test does not pinpoint which component is limiting performance.
YouTube Help recommends a minimum connection speed of 7 Mbps for HD streaming on TV. That is guidance for HD playback on a TV, not a universal guarantee for every resolution, server, device or livestream. It should not be treated as a target bitrate for a broadcaster’s encoder.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
4. Compare Wi-Fi with Ethernet, if practical
Temporarily connect the server to the router with Ethernet, if both have compatible ports and you have a cable of sufficient length. If playback improves, the wireless link may be contributing. If buffering continues, the cause may lie elsewhere in the home network, internet-provider path, playback device or YouTube service. Treat this as an isolation test, not a guaranteed fix or proof that a new router or faster broadband plan is needed.
5. Use provider diagnostics when the comparisons point to the connection
If you are a JioFiber customer, Jio’s diagnostic guidance describes checks for issues including weak Wi-Fi signal, router offline, speed drops and device overload. It applies to JioFiber customers; subscribers with another provider should use that provider’s own diagnostic or support channel.

If the server is broadcasting to YouTube
Do not rely only on what a viewer’s buffering looks like. Check YouTube Live Control Room and the encoder’s warnings, then inspect the stream’s health status. Google’s Live Streams API documentation describes health-status configuration issues that help diagnose stream quality. Examples include keyframes not being sent frequently enough and YouTube not receiving enough video for smooth streaming.
Follow the specific warning shown for the stream and check the encoder’s output against its configured settings. A viewer’s playback problem alone does not establish that the broadcaster’s encoder is faulty, and an encoder warning is not a diagnosis of the viewer’s Wi-Fi.

Why live playback can be less forgiving
Live playback has less opportunity to build a large read-ahead buffer than on-demand video. YouTube’s live-latency guidance explains that lower latency leaves the player with less buffer and can make interruptions more likely; network congestion can also affect live programming. A viewer generally cannot change the broadcaster’s latency mode. This is context for interpreting a live-only problem, not evidence that a particular bhajan stream is configured incorrectly.

| Test | What it helps isolate | Trade-off or limit |
|---|---|---|
| Another device on the same Wi-Fi | Whether the problem appears specific to the home server | No purchase required; differences between devices or apps can still matter |
| Same server on another connection | Whether the home Wi-Fi or provider path may be involved | A hotspot can use paid mobile data |
| Move closer to the router and reduce competing network use | Whether signal conditions or local network contention may be contributing | Temporary and reversible; does not identify every possible cause |
| Lower playback quality | Whether the selected playback mode may be too demanding for the current path or device | Reduces visual detail and does not identify the limiting component |
| Temporary Ethernet connection | Whether the wireless link may be involved | Needs compatible ports and a suitable cable; it is a diagnostic comparison |
| Internet-provider diagnostics | Provider or router-related issues that the provider can detect | Available checks vary by provider |
Use the results before considering equipment or plan changes. A new router or a higher broadband tier is not a first step unless the comparisons identify a signal or capacity limitation.
