To find a public Tango Live profile, use the person’s exact Tango username or user ID, or open a profile link they shared. Search or discovery controls can vary by device, region, and app version, so do not rely on a single menu path. If you find a likely match, check several profile details before following or messaging—and do not use profile search to expose or track someone’s private information.
Make sure you are using Tango Live
This guide is about Tango Live, also called Tango Me: a livestreaming and video-chat service. It is not about Tango AI, a screen-recording and workflow-documentation product, or other unrelated apps named Tango. If you install an app, check that it is the official Tango service; its Google Play listing identifies the Android app.
Tango’s device guidance says its Android app supports Android 6.0 or later and that Tango can also be used in a browser at tango.me. iPhone access depends on region. Tango’s guidance updated January 6, 2026 describes an official Onside distribution route for EU users; outside the EU, it says iPhone users can access Tango in a mobile browser. Check Tango’s device support guidance and EU iPhone installation instructions for current availability.
Use the most precise identifier you have
Search works best when you start with an identifier that distinguishes one account from many. Tango profiles can include a username, photo, bio, status information, and Feed posts, though not every detail will necessarily be visible to every viewer. Tango’s profile-content guidelines describe these profile elements.

A username or user ID is generally more precise than a display name. A direct profile link is useful when it comes from the account owner or someone you trust. A familiar real-world name or profile photo by itself is not proof that you have found the right account.
Search using Tango’s current interface
Tango’s public help documentation explains profile and safety features but does not establish one universal, stable sequence for searching for a person across Android, web, and regional iPhone interfaces. The controls and labels may change. Use the search, magnifying-glass, discovery, or creator-discovery control if it appears in your current Tango app or browser, rather than assuming a particular menu path.
- Open the official Tango app or go to tango.me. Sign in if Tango requires it to access discovery or the profile.
- Look for the current search or discovery control. If you cannot find one, use a direct Tango profile link or open the person’s profile from a public livestream.
- Enter the exact username or user ID. Preserve the spelling, digits, underscores, and periods. Include an @ only if the interface accepts or requests it.
- Choose the profile result, not simply a similarly named livestream or account.
- Compare multiple profile signals before deciding it is the right person.
Once you have a match, follow, message, or bookmark the account only if the interaction is welcome and permitted by Tango.
If you know only a display name
A display name can help narrow results, but it is not a unique identifier. Compare it with details the person has made public: profile photo, bio, language, creator branding, Feed posts, or the subject of recent public streams. A known mutual connection may be able to share the exact username or profile link, but do not pressure anyone to reveal information the account owner has not shared.

Use several independent clues rather than trying to infer an identity from one photo or name. If you cannot distinguish between candidates, ask the person directly for their handle instead of contacting multiple accounts to test them.
Find someone you saw in a livestream
If the broadcast is still available, open the streamer’s profile from the stream. Tango’s instructions for reporting a streamer confirm that viewers can open a mini profile by tapping the streamer’s name in the upper-left area of a live broadcast. From there, use the displayed username or profile link to find the account again. You can also browse public live broadcasts and open a streamer’s profile from a broadcast you discover.
If the stream has ended, search the username you remember or check whether the person shared a profile link. The fact that a broadcast is no longer visible does not, by itself, show that the account has been deleted.
Check that the profile is the right one
Before following or contacting a likely match, compare at least two or three details that you would reasonably expect to be consistent:

- The exact username or user ID, including punctuation and numbers.
- A matching profile image, bio, language, or creator branding.
- Feed posts or livestream subjects consistent with what you know about the creator.
- A direct profile link shared by the person, or a mutual connection who can confirm the handle.
- A familiar public broadcast title or schedule, if you already know it.
None of these clues alone guarantees identity. Tango’s profile rules prohibit impersonation, and a copied photo or familiar name can be used by someone else. Do not send Coins, money, passwords, verification codes, or private documents as an identity test.
Why a Tango profile may not appear
A missing result has several possible explanations; it does not prove that the person blocked you. Work through these checks without trying to bypass someone’s privacy choices:
- Recheck the identifier. Look for a mistyped character, missing number, underscore, or period. Search by user ID if you have it. Try an older username only if the person shared it. Ask for a direct profile link when appropriate.
- Consider an account change. The person may have renamed the account, changed profile details, stopped broadcasting, or moved to another account. A link copied earlier may no longer work.
- Allow for account or access limits. An account could be deleted, suspended, restricted, temporarily unavailable, or not discoverable to you. Blocking is another possibility, but search failure alone cannot confirm it.
- Check your device and region. Browser and app features may differ, and Tango’s iPhone availability varies by region. Try Tango Web if you cannot install or access the app, while recognizing that some features may not be available there.
- Do not treat a search-engine result as confirmation. A result can be old or point to a profile that has changed or become unavailable.
Tango says blocking prevents the blocked user from calling or sending messages, and blocked users can be managed in privacy settings. That does not establish that every missing search result is caused by blocking. See Tango’s block and report instructions for the documented controls.
Can you search by phone number, email, or real name?
Tango’s public documentation does not establish a reliable public lookup method using a phone number or email, so do not assume either will locate an account. A real name may differ from the person’s Tango username. The appropriate route is to ask the person for their exact handle or profile link.

Do not upload contacts to an unfamiliar service or use external people-search sites to identify someone. Do not try to uncover or publish private details such as an address, phone number, email, workplace, or official document. Tango’s profile rules prohibit sharing personal or private information. Finding a public creator profile is not permission to deanonymize or track a private person.

If a profile claims to be someone you know, a creator, or Tango staff, verify it using more than a familiar name or image. Check the username character by character, including look-alike letters and unusual punctuation, and compare the account’s public bio and activity. A verification badge may be useful where available, but do not treat a copied profile or persuasive message as proof.
Tango says verified employee accounts display a Tango-logo badge under the username. Its account-security guidance identifies official support contact routes as in-app Support Chat, VIP Manager Chat, or an email address ending in @tango.me. A person claiming to be support should never need your password or verification code. See Tango’s account-security guidance.
- Be wary of pressure to send gifts immediately, urgent payment requests, promised rewards, or guaranteed returns.
- Do not pay another user directly outside Tango, and do not buy Coins through an unofficial payment channel.
- Do not share passwords, one-time verification codes, or account-recovery details.
- Be cautious if someone pressures you to move to another messaging platform or claims that an unofficial account is Tango support.
Tango’s safety guidance recommends keeping conversations on Tango where possible, using official payment channels for Coins, and never sending money directly to another user outside the platform.

Block or report an account
Tango’s help article documents these paths. Menu names or placement can change, so follow the current on-screen labels if they differ.
From a profile
- Open the user’s profile.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
- Select Block or Report.
- If reporting, choose the reason and submit the report.
From a livestream
- Tap the streamer’s name in the upper-left area of the broadcast to open the mini profile.
- Tap the three-dot menu.
- Select Report and follow the prompts.
From stream chat
- Long-press the user’s name.
- Select Block or Report.
Unblock someone
- Open your profile and go to Settings.
- Select Privacy, then Block List.
- Select the user and tap Unblock.
Use reporting for harassment, suspected scams, or impersonation. Do not publicly accuse someone based only on suspicion, repost private conversations to shame them, create alternate accounts to get around a block, or repeatedly contact someone who has not responded. For threats or immediate safety concerns, use platform reporting and seek appropriate local help rather than investigating the person yourself.
When to contact Tango support
If the issue concerns your account or a profile you cannot access, use Tango’s official in-app support or the official contact route listed in its help center. Include your Tango username, the profile link if you have it, your device and region, and a concise description of what happens. Tango’s Android listing also asks users seeking tailored assistance to provide their username, profile link, and device details. Use the official Android listing or Tango’s Help Center to reach official support resources; avoid third-party profile-lookup services.
