To create a continuous YouTube stream of Tibetan bowls and nature sounds, prepare audio you have the right to livestream, combine it with a still image or looping visual in an encoder such as OBS, then create a YouTube live stream and connect the encoder using YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. Keep the computer and internet connection stable, check audio and video before starting, and plan for rights checks: YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may interrupt a stream that matches copyrighted material.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel that is verified and has had no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube says the person streaming must be at least 16. See YouTube’s live streaming requirements.
- An encoder such as OBS to combine and send your audio and visual scene. YouTube describes encoder streaming as suitable for content using overlays and audio hardware such as preamps and microphones: Get started with live streaming.
- A Tibetan bowl recording and nature sounds you created or have permission to use in a continuous YouTube livestream.
- A still image, looped nature footage, or other visual that can remain appropriate throughout the stream.
- A reliable computer, power supply, and internet connection for the time you intend to broadcast.
YouTube Help also lists platform limits of 10 active streams per channel and three per stream key. These are YouTube limits, not recommended targets for a single ambience broadcast; check the current requirements page before planning multiple simultaneous streams.
How to prepare the bowl audio and visual
Use audio with clear streaming rights
Prefer original recordings when practical. If you use someone else’s audio, keep the license or written permission and confirm that it explicitly covers livestreaming on YouTube, including continuous or looped use. A license does not necessarily prevent YouTube from interrupting a live feed: the rights holder may also need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist.
Mix the bowl and nature layers so neither is unexpectedly muted or masks the other. Listen through the entire loop, including transitions and any quiet sections. Avoid abrupt edits, clicks, accidental silence, or a change in loudness that would be distracting when the loop repeats.

Choose a visual that works for the full duration
Use a still image, a loop of nature footage, or a simple composed scene. Check the loop point for visible jumps and make sure any text or imagery remains suitable for the entire broadcast. Keep the scene uncomplicated so it is easy to preview and monitor.
How to start the continuous stream with an encoder
- Confirm channel eligibility. Check that the channel is verified and has no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days, and that the person operating the stream is at least 16. YouTube’s setup and eligibility details are in its live streaming help.
- Create a live stream in YouTube Studio. Open Live Control Room, create or schedule the broadcast, and select the encoder workflow. Follow the stream setup prompts for the stream information and ingest details.
- Connect OBS or another encoder. Put the visual and audio sources into a scene, then enter the stream information YouTube provides in the encoder’s streaming settings. Treat the stream key as a password: do not show it in the scene, share it publicly, or include it in a recording or screenshot.
- Set the encoder’s basic configuration. OBS’s Auto-Configuration Wizard can recommend basic settings. Use the encoder guidance and YouTube’s setup flow rather than copying protocol-specific settings intended for custom DASH encoders.
- Preview before going live. Check YouTube’s preview and listen to the encoder output. Verify both audio layers, the visual, the loop, and the selected stream destination before starting the broadcast.
- Start the encoder and monitor the broadcast. Start streaming from OBS, then confirm that the feed appears correctly in Live Control Room. Keep an eye on the encoder status and connection while it runs.
YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation includes a 24/7 broadcast as an example use case. That example describes a possible workflow; it is not a promise that your computer, connection, power, encoder, or YouTube stream will never fail.

How to keep a YouTube ambience stream running
With a local encoder, continuity depends on the computer staying powered on, OBS continuing to run, and the network maintaining a connection that can sustain the selected bitrate. Prevent sleep or automatic shutdown during the broadcast, keep the machine ventilated, and avoid unrelated workloads that could interrupt encoding. Check the stream periodically rather than assuming a long broadcast is unattended.
OBS’s connection indicator and dropped-frame counter are useful signals. An increasing dropped-frame count or a yellow or red connection indicator can point to an unstable connection or a bitrate the connection cannot sustain. Can I use music or recordings I licensed?
Possibly, but a license alone may not be enough to keep a live stream uninterrupted. YouTube says it scans all live streams for matches to third-party content. A match may replace the stream with a placeholder image, trigger a warning, or interrupt or terminate the feed if the content remains. If you have licensed third-party material, ask the rights holder whether it can add your channel to its Content ID allowlist, and retain documentation of the permission.
Archived streams may receive Content ID claims after the live broadcast ends. Read YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and do not label audio “copyright-free” unless its actual license supports that description and permits your intended use.

Local computer or cloud streaming?
A local computer gives you direct access to the project and original media, but you are responsible for its power, internet connection, encoder monitoring, and restarts. A remote hosted encoder can reduce dependence on a computer at home, but you still need to check its cost, access to your media, monitoring and recovery arrangements, and whether its terms permit continuous YouTube streaming. Do not treat either approach as a guarantee of uninterrupted uptime.

Troubleshooting common problems
The stream will not start
- Recheck channel verification and whether the channel has a live-stream restriction from the previous 90 days.
- Confirm that the broadcast was created in Live Control Room and that the encoder is using the current stream information for that broadcast.
- If you exposed the stream key, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder before restarting.
The connection indicator turns yellow or red, or dropped frames rise
- Check whether the internet connection is unstable or the selected bitrate is too high for it, as described in OBS’s dropped-frame guidance.
- Use OBS’s Auto-Configuration Wizard for basic settings, then test the resulting configuration rather than guessing a bitrate.
- Reduce competing network traffic and verify stability before resuming a long broadcast.
The sound is missing, unbalanced, or interrupted
- Check that each audio source is active and routed into the encoder’s stream output.
- Listen to the mix in the encoder preview and check the entire loop, including its restart point.
- If YouTube warns about a copyright match or replaces the feed, check the live stream copyright guidance and contact the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting when you have permission to use the material.
The stream stops while unattended
- For a local setup, check computer sleep and power settings, OBS status, and network interruptions.
- Restart the encoder and confirm the feed in Live Control Room. Review any YouTube notice before restarting if the stop involved a copyright match.
