To loop Bengali songs through OBS on YouTube Live, add your authorized audio or video file as an OBS Media Source, enable Loop, check the audio and picture, then connect OBS to YouTube with the stream URL and stream key. For a playlist, use OBS’s VLC Video source and install VLC first. The setup only keeps running while your computer and internet connection remain available.
Before you configure OBS: clear the songs and visuals
Confirm that you have permission to livestream each exact sound recording and any artwork or video you plan to show. Permission to listen privately or upload a file elsewhere does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it or keep a livestream archive. Check that the rights cover livestream distribution, the territories where you expect to broadcast, and the archive.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. Even if you have a license, YouTube says the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; otherwise, the stream may still be interrupted. Ask the rights holder about allowlisting and do not treat YouTube’s detection process as a decision about whether your license is sufficient. YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams
Set up a loop in OBS
Loop one Bengali songs file
- Create a scene. In OBS, add a scene in the Scenes dock and select it.
- Add the file. In the Sources dock, click + and choose Media Source. Select a local audio or video file. OBS lists common supported formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV. OBS Media Sources
- Enable looping. In the Media Source properties, select Loop so playback restarts when the file finishes. Confirm the source is visible and playing in the preview.
- Check audio. Watch the Audio Mixer meters while the file plays. If there is no meter activity or OBS is capturing the wrong device, open Settings → Audio and select the devices manually. Keep the mixer visible during your test.
- Check the picture. Look for blank, cropped, or obscured visuals in the preview. OBS layers sources according to their order in the Sources list, so adjust the order if one source covers another. OBS Sources Guide
Loop a playlist of tracks
For several separate media files, add a VLC Video source and add the tracks to its playlist in the order you want. Enable playlist looping and test the transition from one track to the next. This source requires VLC installed on the same machine; a 64-bit OBS installation needs 64-bit VLC. For one file, the built-in Media Source is simpler. OBS Media Sources

Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- Check livestream eligibility early. In YouTube Studio, open Create → Go Live. First-time livestream enablement may take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube’s encoder guide, so do not leave activation until broadcast time. YouTube encoder guide
- Configure the broadcast in Live Control Room. Create or select the livestream. For a scheduled broadcast, make sure you are connecting OBS to the intended event.
- Set OBS’s stream connection. If OBS offers YouTube as a service, select it and follow its connection flow. Otherwise, copy the stream URL and stream key from YouTube Live Control Room into OBS’s stream settings. Treat the key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a broadcast to your channel.
- Start the OBS output and check YouTube’s preview. For a scheduled event, wait for the incoming preview in Live Control Room and then click Go live there. Starting output in OBS alone is not the final go-live action for a scheduled broadcast.
- End the broadcast and check the archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Archived livestreams may receive Content ID claims after they end, so make sure your permissions also cover the retained recording. YouTube encoder guide · YouTube copyright guidance
Test the loop before going public
Run OBS for a few minutes before the intended broadcast. Confirm that the audio is audible and not clipping, the picture is framed correctly, the file loops or advances through the playlist as intended, and YouTube receives the stream preview. OBS recommends a short test rather than going straight into a first broadcast. Its Auto-Configuration Wizard can help choose initial streaming settings based on your computer and network; it does not replace checking the actual preview and connection. OBS Quick Start Guide
During testing, watch OBS’s dropped-frame indicators. OBS Help says increasing dropped frames point to an unstable connection or one that cannot sustain the chosen bitrate. If you see them, check the connection and adjust the streaming settings before relying on the setup for a longer broadcast. OBS Help Portal

Troubleshoot common loop-stream problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |

| The song plays locally but YouTube has no audio. | The wrong audio device is selected or the source is not reaching the Audio Mixer. | Play the media and watch the mixer meters. If they do not move, check Settings → Audio and the source’s audio routing. |

When a local OBS loop is not the right fit
OBS gives you direct control over the scene and local sources, but the stream depends on the computer running OBS and a working home connection. If either becomes unavailable, the local setup cannot continue sending the stream. A cloud service is an optional alternative for uploaded recordings; it is not part of OBS configuration and does not remove music-rights obligations.
