To run a 24/7 YouTube music stream with OBS on JioFiber, prepare an eligible YouTube channel and rights-cleared program, connect OBS to the stream details in YouTube Studio, then choose an encoder bitrate your tested upload connection can sustain. The computer, power, network, audio path, and YouTube stream all need to remain available; OBS and a broadband plan alone cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
Check YouTube access, music rights, and your JioFiber plan
Confirm the channel can go live
YouTube says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Its eligibility page also states that streamers must be at least 16. Check the current requirements at YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance before building the stream.
Clear the music and visual rights
Use music and visuals whose rights cover the live broadcast and any archive YouTube may retain. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A license does not necessarily prevent an interruption: for Content ID material, YouTube advises, “If you’ve licensed third-party content to use in your stream, ask the owner of the content to add your channel to their allowlist through Content ID.” Confirm the license and allowlisting with the rights owner before launch. If YouTube reports a copyright issue, stop the disputed material and follow the notice in Live Control Room.
Check the exact JioFiber terms
Jio’s postpaid FAQ describes its plans as unlimited for home use, but also says RJIL may discontinue service for misuse, fraudulent, unauthorized, or commercial use. The FAQ does not establish whether every 24/7 stream is allowed or prohibited. If the broadcast is commercial, ask Jio about the terms for your specific plan. See Jio’s postpaid plan FAQ.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Prepare a continuous, loopable program
Assemble a playlist or recording you are entitled to broadcast, and check that it loops without unintended silence, abrupt level changes, or breaks in the visual. Verify that OBS is receiving the intended audio source and that the playback will continue after the first item. Keep the project and media available on the computer running OBS; a local encoder setup depends on that machine and its power, storage, and connection staying available.
Connect OBS to YouTube Studio
- Create or schedule the broadcast. In YouTube Studio, start the encoder workflow to create or schedule a live stream. Use the event and stream details displayed for that broadcast.
- Open OBS stream settings. In OBS, go to Settings → Stream. Choose YouTube or the service/RTMP option offered by your installed OBS version. OBS’s labels can change; its knowledge base links to the current Quick Start Guide and streaming documentation.
- Connect the account or enter stream details. Either connect your YouTube account if that option is available, or enter the server/stream URL and stream key shown in YouTube Studio. Prefer RTMPS where available. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it, and replace it in YouTube Studio if it is exposed.
- Verify the selected event. Make sure the stream details in OBS belong to the intended YouTube broadcast. A key or event mismatch can leave YouTube waiting for a signal even while OBS appears to be streaming.
Choose resolution, bitrate, and audio settings
Use YouTube’s current encoder table as the reference, then set OBS to a bitrate that your measured upload connection can sustain with headroom. Do not infer upload capacity from a JioFiber plan name. YouTube says, “We recommend running a speed test to test your upload bitrate.” Its listed H.264 recommendations are encoder guidance, not a claim about JioFiber performance.

| Output target | YouTube recommended H.264 video bitrate | YouTube minimum H.264 value shown |
|---|---|---|
| 480p30 | 5 Mbps | Not stated here; consult the current YouTube table |
| 720p30 or 720p60 | 8 Mbps | 3 Mbps |
| 1080p30 | 14 Mbps | 5 Mbps |
| 1080p60 | 17 Mbps | 6 Mbps |
These values are YouTube Help’s currently published recommended and minimum H.264 settings, accessed October 3, 2026. Check YouTube’s encoder settings for the live table before configuring because its recommendations can change.
- Resolution and frame rate: For a mostly static music visual, begin with 720p30 or 1080p30. Higher frame rates or resolution increase bandwidth demand, and the available evidence does not establish a listener benefit for a static visual that justifies that extra demand.
- Rate control: Set the encoder to CBR.
- Keyframes: Use a two-second interval; YouTube recommends this and says not to exceed four seconds.
- Video codec: YouTube lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1. Choose an option supported by your OBS installation and hardware; H.264 is the basis for the bitrate table above.
- Protocol: Use RTMP or RTMPS as supported by the setup; YouTube recommends RTMPS for encrypted delivery.
- Audio: YouTube lists AAC or MP3, 128 Kbps for stereo, and 44.1 kHz stereo in its advanced settings. Check the audio source and OBS meters so a silent or clipped feed is not sent for hours.
For a 24/7 run, favor a stable setting over the highest available quality. If the stream test shows instability or YouTube reports poor health, lower bitrate and, if needed, resolution before increasing quality.

Test the full path, then start the broadcast
- Run a private or unlisted test where appropriate. YouTube says, “Make sure to test before you start your live stream.” Use representative music and visuals, not just a blank scene.
- Listen and watch the loop. Check for gaps, clipping, unexpected source changes, and rough transitions between playlist items. Confirm the visual is present and playback continues.
- Check YouTube’s incoming preview and stream health. Start the OBS output and inspect Live Control Room. YouTube advises monitoring stream health; use its warnings to guide bitrate or output changes.
- Complete the go-live workflow. Once the incoming signal and test look right, complete YouTube’s confirmation or scheduled-event workflow in Live Control Room.
- Keep a recovery plan. Decide who will notice a lost signal, how to restart OBS, and how to check the YouTube event and stream key. A UPS may help through a brief power interruption if sized for the connected equipment and desired runtime; it does not keep the ISP network online. No particular runtime or capacity is established here.
Troubleshoot common failures
- YouTube receives no signal: Check that OBS is using the active event’s stream URL and key, that the correct YouTube service is selected in Settings → Stream, and that the outbound connection is working.
- Dropped frames or poor stream health: Lower the video bitrate and, if necessary, the resolution or frame rate. Retest upload stability and inspect the local network path. YouTube recommends matching stream quality to connection capability and monitoring health.
- The stream stops or is interrupted after music begins: Check Live Control Room for copyright warnings or strikes. Stop disputed material and ask the rights owner to allowlist your channel for licensed Content ID content.
- Jio usage or service concern: Review the terms for the exact JioFiber plan and ask Jio about commercial use if relevant; its general postpaid FAQ includes a commercial-use caveat.
- OBS is live but the program goes silent or stops looping: Check the selected audio source, playback state, playlist order, and whether the local media remains accessible. Test the complete loop again before returning to a long run.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you would rather not keep a computer and home connection running, StreamNeo keeps a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps streams as made for one flat price per slot; there are no quality tiers. StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. It is for uploaded video, not a live camera feed, and streams to YouTube only. Start the free day with StreamNeo.
