Compare the streams over the same dates and use estimated ad revenue to answer which earned more from ads. Then look at views, estimated monetized playbacks, ad impressions, watch time and audience geography to explain the result. There is no universal YouTube ad rate for Hindi versus English: language alone cannot tell you which stream will earn more.
Choose a fair comparison window and outcome
Set identical start and end dates for both streams. If audience size or content varies substantially by day, compare several matched windows rather than relying on a single stretch. Record the date ranges and whether each result covers a 24/7 stream for the full period.
For the question “Which stream earned more from ads?”, compare each stream’s total estimated ad revenue in the matched window. For “Which earned more per view?”, calculate ad revenue per 1,000 views using that same window and state the denominator. Keep the total and normalized result distinct: a stream can earn more overall because it had more viewing, even if its ad revenue per view was lower.
Use the right YouTube revenue metrics
YouTube’s ad revenue analytics guide distinguishes advertiser costs from creator earnings. These measures answer different questions:

RPM can include ads, YouTube Premium, memberships, Super Chat and Super Stickers. If the question is specifically about ads, do not present RPM as though it were ad-only revenue. A higher playback-based CPM also does not guarantee higher total creator earnings: the stream may have fewer views or fewer monetized playbacks.
Check who watched, not just the language label
Compare the audience geography for each stream over the same dates. YouTube identifies geography, seasonality, ad formats, advertiser targeting and availability, and other viewer-specific factors as reasons CPM can change or an ad may not be served. A Hindi stream and an English stream may attract different mixes of viewers and advertising markets, so a revenue difference does not establish that language caused it.

In YouTube Analytics, the audience reports include top geographies by watch time and top subtitle/CC languages. These reports can help describe the audiences, but subtitle language is not a definitive label for the spoken language of every viewer or stream, and some audience data may be limited. See Understand your YouTube audience. Avoid treating a subtitle category as proof of a viewer’s preferred language or as a direct explanation of earnings.
Account for live-stream reporting limits
YouTube’s live-stream metrics help page says revenue reports are unavailable when filtering for Live alone. If your revenue comparison therefore uses Live & on demand data, label it as blended rather than presenting it as live-only earnings. Do not compare a live-only delivery measure with blended revenue without explaining the mismatch.

Use the same reporting scope for both streams wherever possible. If you cannot isolate revenue for the live broadcast, state exactly what the selected report includes and avoid claiming that it proves the live-only ad total.
Verify monetization settings and eligibility
Confirm that both streams were eligible and configured for the same relevant monetization options during the comparison window. YouTube says Watch Page ad and Premium revenue on live streams requires the applicable Watch Page Monetization Module; enabling ads does not guarantee that an ad will serve. YouTube describes the Watch Page partner share as 55% of net revenue from ads displayed or streamed on public videos on the Watch Page, for partners who accept the Watch Page Monetization Module. That is a platform revenue-share term, not a Hindi or English rate benchmark. Eligible YouTube Partner Program creators may also earn through live-stream memberships and Shopping, among other options, but those are separate from ad earnings. - Match the periods. Select the same calendar dates for both language streams, and note whether the streams ran throughout the whole window.
- Report the outcome first. Show estimated ad revenue for each stream. If you also compare efficiency, calculate ad revenue per 1,000 views from that same period and name the denominator.
- Show delivery alongside earnings. Include views, watch time, estimated monetized playbacks, ad impressions and playback-based CPM where the account provides them.
- Describe the audience carefully. Compare top geographies and subtitle/CC language for the same dates, noting that the latter is not a definitive measure of spoken language.
- State the reporting scope and setup. Identify live-only versus Live & on demand reporting, and note relevant monetization-module status or differences between the streams.
- Explain, do not overclaim. Say which stream earned more in the measured period and identify plausible context in the metrics. Do not attribute the difference to Hindi or English unless the comparison isolates language from geography, audience, ad delivery and other factors.
For example, if the English stream has higher playback-based CPM but lower total estimated ad revenue, report both facts and inspect its views and monetized playbacks before explaining the gap. The CPM is advertiser spending per monetized playback, not a direct measure of the creator’s total ad earnings.

What the figures cannot establish
No authoritative Hindi-versus-English YouTube ad-rate benchmark is established by the official sources cited here. YouTube also cautions in its partner earnings overview: “There are no guarantees under the YouTube partner agreement about how much or whether you’ll be paid.” Treat each result as a measurement of those streams, audiences and dates—not a forecast for all Hindi or English channels.
