To stop a donor from tipping through Streamlabs, open Dashboard > Tipping > Tipping History, find and verify the tip, select the ellipsis at the end of its row, then choose Ban. Streamlabs says this blocks the person from sending tips and messages through its tipping system; it does not ban them from Twitch or another platform’s chat.
Block a donor in Streamlabs Tipping History
- Sign in to the Streamlabs Dashboard.
- Select Tipping in the left navigation, then open Tipping History.
- Find the relevant tip. Check the username and confirm that the donor is the person sending harassing messages before you act; Streamlabs cautions creators to verify the tipper.
- Select the ellipsis at the end of that tip’s row and choose Ban.
Streamlabs’ help article says the tipper will be banned from sending tips and messages. It describes the restriction as applying by IP address and username. Streamlabs’ ban-a-tipper instructions were published April 25, 2025.
What the ban does—and does not do
The ban applies to Streamlabs’ tipping system. It is not a general block from Twitch, YouTube, or another connected platform, and it does not replace that platform’s chat moderation. If the person is harassing people in chat, use the platform’s own moderation tools separately.
Streamlabs’ official material does not explain how to reverse an accidental ban, appeal one, or how IP changes, shared networks, or multiple accounts affect enforcement. If one of those cases arises, contact Streamlabs support rather than assuming the ban can be undone or will work a particular way.

When to use the My Donations route
Streamlabs also describes reporting and blocking a donor from Dashboard > My Donations in its chargeback guidance. That article concerns a donation or chargeback issue and says that reporting IP-bans the donor from making donations to that creator. For a malicious tip accompanied by harassment, Tipping > Tipping History > Ban is the direct documented workflow; use the My Donations route for the transaction-reporting context described by Streamlabs.
Related tip-page protection
Streamlabs setup guidance mentions profanity filtering as a separate tip-page setting. It is a filter, not a substitute for banning a specific donor.
