To add prerecorded clips in CameraFi Live, add each one from your phone’s gallery through the Swipe Menu, then use Source Switcher to choose which clip appears as the main scene. CameraFi’s guides document manual switching—not automatic sequential playlist playback. If you want two video sources visible together, the app’s PIP guide describes a separate workflow.

Before you start

  • Have the video files available in your device’s gallery.
  • Start a CameraFi Live broadcast and select YouTube as the platform. CameraFi’s Android beginner guide, published December 27, 2024, describes choosing a broadcast mode and platform before pressing Start: CameraFi Live guide for beginners.
  • Use videos you own or have permission to stream. CameraFi cautions that using someone else’s content in a live video could result in a copyright violation; this is a conditional warning, not a claim that every use of third-party material is unlawful. See CameraFi Live FAQ.

Add multiple video sources

  1. Start your YouTube broadcast in CameraFi Live and open its main screen.
  2. Swipe from right to left on the main screen to open the Swipe Menu. Depending on the app version, the gesture may be described as swiping slightly left.
  3. Choose Video, then tap the plus button to select a video file from your device’s gallery.
  4. Repeat the Video-and-plus steps for each additional clip you want available during the broadcast. CameraFi’s guide documents selecting gallery files but does not state a maximum number of video sources. The detailed instructions are in CameraFi’s video-source and PIP manual.

Switch which clip is on screen

  1. Open Source Switcher using its icon in the lower-right area of the screen.
  2. Tap the video source you want to show. The selected source becomes the main screen.
  3. If the panel contains more sources than are visible, swipe upward in the panel to reveal the hidden ones.

CameraFi’s Source Switcher manual, published September 7, 2021, describes switching among sources such as videos, images, and crop sources. Its Android beginner guide from December 27, 2024 also confirms that Source Switcher is used to change sources during a broadcast. Button placement can vary by app version.

Show two video sources together with PIP

  1. Add a video source using the Swipe Menu and gallery steps above.
  2. Tap that source’s PIP button.
  3. Swipe right to activate the PIP source.

CameraFi’s PIP guide describes showing two video sources on one screen. It was published January 7, 2021, so current labels or gestures may differ. PIP is distinct from Source Switcher: use Source Switcher to make a source the main scene; use PIP when you want two sources displayed together.

Does CameraFi automatically play the clips one after another?

The cited CameraFi mobile guides describe adding sources and selecting them manually; they do not document an automatic playlist or timed sequence. Adding several clips makes them available as sources, but is not evidence that CameraFi will play them consecutively without your input.

Version and platform notes

The gallery-video and PIP instructions come from CameraFi’s January 7, 2021 manual. Source Switcher is covered in a September 7, 2021 manual, while CameraFi’s Android beginner guide dated December 27, 2024 confirms the Swipe Menu video-source workflow and switching during broadcasts. Gestures and button locations may have changed since the older manuals. CameraFi’s FAQ notes that availability of some broadcast modes depends on platform and operating system; its Android-only note concerns screen broadcasting and should not be treated as a limitation on the camera-mode gallery-video workflow. CameraFi lists YouTube as a supported platform and describes video and audio overlays on its CameraFi Live product page.
