For reliable Hindi subtitles on a prerecorded video streamed through XSplit, prepare and time the Hindi translation in a subtitle or video editor, render a copy with the subtitles visible in the image, then add that subtitled video to XSplit as a source. These are burned-in subtitles: they appear to every viewer, but viewers cannot switch them off or choose another language.
Choose the right kind of subtitles
Burned-in Hindi subtitles for prerecorded video
Burned-in subtitles are part of the video image itself. They are the dependable choice when you need a reviewed Hindi translation on prerecorded material: once rendered into the video, they do not rely on a separate caption track or a YouTube caption setting.
The trade-off is that viewers cannot turn the text off or select a different caption language. Keep an original copy of the video so you can revise the translation or export another version later.
Selectable closed captions
Closed captions are timed text data separate from the video pixels. XSplit’s May 2026 documentation describes its Live Captions tool as generating captions as speech happens. It documents enabling Send Caption in the tool and Closed Captions in YouTube Live’s pre-stream dialog. That is a speech-generated live-caption path, not a documented way to import a prepared Hindi subtitle file. XSplit’s May 2026 update and Live Captions support information describe the feature and its setup.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The reviewed official material does not establish Hindi recognition support, prepared SRT import, whether captions remain in a stream archive, or how viewers select languages. Check the documentation for your installed XSplit version before relying on any of those capabilities.
Prepare and render the Hindi subtitle track
- Make a translation. Translate the spoken dialogue into Hindi, preserving meaning and speaker intent. Check names, specialist terms and any on-screen text that matters to the documentary.
- Time each subtitle to the video. In a subtitle or video editor, align subtitle in- and out-times with the actual dialogue. Do not assume a transcript alone will stay synchronized.
- Review legibility. Check Hindi spelling, line breaks, reading speed and contrast against both bright and dark scenes. Keep text within safe margins so it is not clipped by the video frame or player presentation.
- Export a subtitled copy. Render the subtitles into the image and save a separate copy of the source video. Play the full rendered file from start to finish to catch timing errors, missing lines, clipping and audio/video sync problems.
Add the subtitled video to XSplit and stream it to YouTube
XSplit Broadcaster describes prerecorded videos as content it can present, and its YouTube Live setup guide covers adding sources and configuring the output and broadcast details. The names and arrangement of controls can vary by installed version, so use the current interface and official setup guide rather than assuming a particular menu label. - Add the rendered file as a source. In XSplit Broadcaster, add the subtitled video as a media or video source using the option available in your installed version. Confirm the source displays the entire frame.
- Preview the whole video. Check that Hindi text is readable, inside safe margins and synchronized with the dialogue. Listen for audio/video drift and make sure the video reaches the end as expected.
- Configure YouTube Live. Set up the YouTube Live output and broadcast details in XSplit, following the current XSplit setup guide. Use the correct YouTube stream key for the intended broadcast; keep it private and do not include it in screenshots or recordings.
- Test before a public broadcast. If suitable for your channel and content, test privately or unlisted. Watch the stream output—not just the local preview—on a second device or browser to check subtitle size, framing, audio and synchronization.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Confirm the YouTube stream is receiving the video and sound, then watch for playback or sync problems during the program.
What XSplit Live Captions can—and cannot be assumed to do
If you want captions generated from speech rather than subtitles already timed to a prerecorded video, XSplit’s documented YouTube Live procedure is:
- Open Tools > Live Captions in XSplit Broadcaster.
- Enable Send Caption in the Live Captions tool.
- Also enable Closed Captions in YouTube Live’s pre-stream dialog.
XSplit’s May 2026 announcement says Live Captions makes streams easier to follow in real time and describes captions appearing “as you speak.” It says the feature was tested with YouTube Live; it does not document prepared Hindi subtitle-file import. Do not assume the tool supports Hindi or that it will transmit a prepared SRT file unless the documentation for your installed version confirms it. XSplit Broadcaster: May 2026 Update

Troubleshoot subtitle and stream problems
- Subtitles are missing in the stream: Confirm you added the rendered, subtitled copy—not the original video—as the XSplit source. Check that the subtitles are visible when you play that file outside XSplit.
- Text is cut off or hard to read: Reposition or resize the subtitles in the editor, check safe margins and contrast, then render and preview the revised video.
- Text appears too early or late: Correct the subtitle timing against the dialogue in the editor and render a fresh copy. Check synchronization in the actual stream output as well as local playback.
- Live Captions do not appear on YouTube: Check both switches: Send Caption in XSplit’s Live Captions tool and Closed Captions in YouTube Live’s pre-stream dialog. The documented procedure is for generated live captions, not a prepared-file workflow.
- Hindi captions are unavailable or inaccurate: Hindi support and recognition accuracy are not established by the cited XSplit documentation. For a reviewed Hindi translation on prerecorded content, use the burned-in workflow instead of assuming Live Captions supports it.
- The video or sound does not play as expected: Test the complete source file locally, verify the correct source is active in XSplit, and inspect the YouTube stream output before going public.
