Add the logo and schedule to the video using your encoder, then schedule the YouTube event separately in YouTube Studio. The encoder controls what viewers see in the picture; Studio creates the upcoming livestream page, where viewers can find the event and request a reminder.
1. Prepare a logo and schedule graphic
Use a transparent logo image if you want the video behind it to remain visible. Make the schedule graphic to fit your stream canvas, or create it as text and graphic layers in your encoder. Keep both elements large enough to read on a phone, clear of player controls, and away from important footage or captions. These are practical layout recommendations, not YouTube requirements.
Decide whether the schedule should be a static panel showing the current program or a live-updating “now/next” display. A static graphic is straightforward to add as an image. An automatically changing schedule needs a data source or production system; YouTube’s encoder guidance does not provide a radio schedule integration method.
2. Add the graphics to the outgoing video
- Open your encoder’s scene or layout. Add the station logo as an image or graphic source, then add the schedule as a second image or text/graphics layer.
- Position and size each layer. Keep the graphics inside the intended video frame and make sure they do not obscure important material.
- Check the encoder preview. Confirm that the logo and schedule appear as intended. Exact menu labels and steps vary by encoder, so there is no universal click path.
- Update the schedule when needed. Change the graphic or its source in the encoder, then check the preview again before going live.
YouTube describes encoders as a way to send a livestream and notes that encoder capabilities vary. Its directory includes graphics-capable hardware, but a dedicated appliance is not required simply to add a static logo and schedule. YouTube’s encoder guide and encoder directory explain the available approaches.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
3. Schedule the livestream in YouTube Studio
- In YouTube Studio, open Go Live, select Manage, and choose the option to schedule a stream.
- Enter the event title and description, then set its date, time, time zone, and privacy setting carefully.
- Use the server URL and stream key displayed in YouTube Studio to connect your encoder. Treat the stream key like a password: do not show it in a screenshot, graphic, or broadcast.
- Review the event details and make the watch page available to viewers you intend to reach.
Scheduling can create a shareable watch page and allow viewers to request reminders. Share that event page in advance so the audience can find the broadcast before airtime. See YouTube’s guidance on scheduling livestreams.
4. Preview and check before airtime
Set up well ahead of the start time. In YouTube’s Live Control Room, check the incoming preview before starting the broadcast. Confirm the logo placement, schedule legibility, audio, and that the intended event watch page is accessible. YouTube recommends checking the preview before going live; the graphics and audio should also be reviewed in your encoder preview.

Choosing software or a hardware encoder
For a simple static logo and schedule, choose an encoder that can layer and position graphics and supports your computer, operating system, and video sources. Consider whether you need a one-off setup or a recurring workflow, and whether the schedule is static or must update automatically. A dedicated hardware encoder may suit a station that has a specific operational reason to use an appliance, but it is not necessary for this basic graphic workflow.
YouTube’s encoder directory lists the AJA HELO Plus as an example of hardware offering logo/layout graphics and scheduled prerecorded-media playback. That listing does not establish that it is the right purchase for every station. Compare its documented features with your actual sources and workflow before choosing hardware.

Troubleshooting
- The logo or schedule is missing from the YouTube preview: Check that the layers are enabled and visible in the encoder scene, and that the encoder is sending the intended scene.
- The graphic is clipped or covers important content: Resize or reposition it within the video frame, then inspect the encoder and Live Control Room previews.
- The schedule is outdated: Update the image or text source and verify the revised graphic in preview before airtime. A static panel does not update itself.
- The event is hard to find: Check the scheduled date, time zone, privacy setting, and watch page, then share the correct event link.
- The encoder will not connect: Check that it is using the server URL and stream key shown for the intended event in YouTube Studio. Keep the key private.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your radio station’s YouTube broadcast is made from uploaded video rather than a live camera, StreamNeo can keep that video playing from the cloud. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. The overlay must be part of the uploaded video; StreamNeo plays uploaded videos and does not add a live camera feed.
