In the novel Twilight, Bella Swan is 17, Jacob Black is 15, and Edward Cullen appears to be 17 but is 103 chronologically at the story’s opening. Edward’s chronological age depends on the date: he turns 104 after June 20, 2005.

Why does Edward have two ages?
Edward’s physical or apparent age is 17, but his chronological age counts the years he has lived. He was born on June 20, 1901, so he is 103 before June 20, 2005 and 104 after that date. The “103, physically 17” description is the opening framing; it should not be treated as a timeless number. List of Twilight characters

How do Bella’s ages change through the saga?
Bella turns 18 in New Moon. She is 19 around the time Renesmee is born in Breaking Dawn. These milestones make the novel or event essential context whenever giving a character’s age. A fan-maintained timeline places Bella’s move to Forks in January and her first meeting with Jacob in March, then tracks her 18th birthday and later events. Those exact calendar placements should be understood as that timeline’s reconstruction, rather than as independently established author statements. Twilight Lexicon timeline

Jacob’s first-book age is reported as 15, with the same character reference placing his phasing at 16 in New Moon. The direct source is a fan-maintained reference, so that detail is less firmly supported here than Bella and Edward’s opening ages.
