| Option | Cost | Where and what you can watch |
|---|---|---|
| PBS MASTERPIECE on Amazon | $5.99/month in the U.S.; $6.99 CAD/month in Canada, per PBS Distribution’s page accessed October 8, 2026 | A paid Amazon channel with a changing MASTERPIECE drama catalogue. It does not unlock PBS Passport videos on PBS.org or in the PBS app. |
| PBS Passport | Not stated in the cited PBS channel pages; Passport is a separate donor benefit offered through participating local PBS stations. | Access to Passport content through PBS.org and the PBS app, subject to station eligibility and terms. An Amazon channel subscription does not provide it. |
| PBS free streaming | No additional charge for the free viewing described by PBS. | Many new episodes of popular dramas and favorites are available for a limited time through PBS’s free streaming options; this does not mean the full MASTERPIECE catalogue is free. |
PBS explains the distinction between the Amazon channel, Passport and free viewing in its Amazon help article and channel cost guide. For Passport access, check with your local PBS station; it is separate from the Amazon subscription.
