The Jacksons’ current official profile says Jermaine Jackson raised nine children and names them: Jermaine Jr, Autumn, Jeremy, Jaimy, Jourdynn, Donté, Jaafar, Jermajesty and Abu Bakr. That differs from older coverage describing eight children—and from the seven-child count in the supplied headline—so the count depends on which source is being cited.

Why do sources give different totals?
Published counts are not consistent. The Jacksons’ profile says Jermaine raised nine children and supplies the list above. Jackson Source also lists nine. Biography.com, in a profile updated April 27, 2021, says Jermaine has eight children.

| Source | Count and wording | Date information |
|---|---|---|
| The Jacksons | Nine children he raised; names all nine and marks Donté as adopted. | Page displays ©2026; accessed October 8, 2026. |
| Jackson Source | Lists the same nine names. | No publication date stated; accessed October 8, 2026. |
| Biography.com | Says he has eight children. | Updated April 27, 2021. |
These sources do not explain why the totals differ or how the seven-child headline was reached. The careful answer is to give the count with its source: the current official profile names nine children Jermaine raised, while Biography.com’s 2021 article gives a count of eight.

The sources cited here do not establish exact birth dates, current ages or a sourced personal biography for every child. The name list should not be treated as a complete set of individual profiles, and adding unsourced ages or life details would give a false impression of certainty.
